I was active duty Navy @ my 25 year mark during these surgeries and forced out because I couldn't screen for my next assignment! I wish he had gone into a lot more detail about the different mediations for pain he had taken as it's an interesting subject for me. He mentioned Fentanyl but this would be medical grade fentanyl probably as skin patches. Someone his sixe would require a higher dose too tho.
The knee replacement is very tricky it messes up your gait hips and ankles, feet get messed up takes upwards to a year to get normal if your lucky going through it now first month was a breeze than the weird shit starts and you know the pain god cause your body is so out of balance takes months to years of strict rehab to achieve athletic condition
The biggest problem with opiate based pain meds is when you run out. The longer you take 'em the more you need to take.... Where I live in Canada, doctors won't raise your medication, they'd rather you go broke buying pills from drug dealers then give you the small increase needed to function at a normal level. I have to purposely withdrawal on my days off in order to have enough meds to get through a work day. The doctor's solution is to pump you full of methadone, which is way more powerful than pills, the withdrawals are ten times worse and if you have to be on it for more than a couple of years, your teeth will start falling out. Everyone I know who is on methadone has lost their teeth.
This happened to me. I was referred to a methadone clinic when i was 21 y/o, by a social worker when i should have been sent to rehab. Anyway, I was on methadone for 10 years and now i have no teeth. I am 34. None. Dental work is so expensive and i refuse to live my life with dentures. Thankfully I found a good job I can work remotely, or else I would be screwed. People think I am a methamphetamine addict because of my teeth everwhere i go. It's really tough. So, I just stay in the house, with my dog. He doesn't care what I look like. I just wish I would have been made aware of the side effects of the methadone before I was given it. Also, I tried to get off of it cold turkey and had the worst withdrawals I have ever had for over a month before I gave up. I had to get back on heroin, to get my body dependent on that, so i could have a normal detox. That shit is 100% poison.
I am starting to think the human body was not created for these kinds of sports. I was an amateur goalkeeper and 20 years after I stopped playing, I started having these bad back pains. I deliberately refused to take painkillers as I did not want to get an addiction. It is much better now.
Doctors honestly just don't know. I was told that after my back fusion I'd be able to compete in kickboxing again. It never happened, I tried 3 different times to make a comeback. I was never fully recovered. Then I had neck fusion and now I can't train hard.
I have more respect for wrestlers for what they do in the ring than actors like Tom Cruise. Some wrestlers have died because they never transitioned to something else.

Having money will for sure change your life… but it ALSO allows you to do things that the “middle class” (which EVERYONE thinks they are but they’re NOT) - can’t. So like Hulk being able to eat good - which he either has a chef or he orders pre made food, being able to put a gym in house … you can CHOOSE a Doctor instead of seeing some random dude who walks in… Having money can for sure increase your life expectancy vs a poor overweight depressed man who eats bad an no exercise and hasn’t been to the Dr in 15 years bc of no insurance

Well think off jumping off your feet and landing on one hip same side every night for 20yrs + not only on your hip but your back its jarring your spine its off whacked , your not landing flat on your ass straight its on a angle so that tilt will hurt
I’ve been in bed because of back pain for 6 years! Can’t sit. Can barely walk. If they can’t fix a rich guy like him with access to everything? I have no chance!

I'm approaching 50, and I'm glad I've never had the injuries that Hogan has had. I guess a question that could be asked is, would you be prepared to have Hogan's injuries, if it meant earning the kind of money he has over his working life?

I am 34.
Healthcare is broken here and Canada.
There’s more money in continuing to treat an illness or injury than there is to cure or heal it. The for profit healthcare system is not ideal
the incentives dont seem to make sense
"Non profit" doesn't work either.
Then I had neck fusion and now I can't train hard.
that sucks sorry to hear that
7:06 Is it just me or does he say “I’m 7 years old”😂
will need to check haha
thats what i heard, too
I have more respect for wrestlers for what they do in the ring than actors like Tom Cruise. Some wrestlers have died because they never transitioned to something else.
thats the sad truth
This guy's moaning and groaning about sitting on a "barstool" while sitting next to a man who bodyslammed Andre the Giant!! Chill bruh! Show respect to your master❤❤❤
Stem cells clearly don't work in hotdogs.
depends haha
I wonder if stem cells could do anything for chronic heel pain and plantar fasciitis?
It’s restricted in the USA due to how they get the stem cells. Aborted fetus’. Umbilical chords is a better option
I wonder if Rogan is talking about using embryonic stem cells?
No what they are talking about is taking out your blood and doing something with it and injecting it back in Im pretty sure.
Oh that’s for real I thought that was just a joke from South Park lol
@@louisn1368definitely not a joke. And South Park is genius level humor if you understand exactly what they’re talking about.
@@longrider188Joe Rogan is talking about "umbilical cord derived mesenchymal stem cells" watch his interview with Mel Gibson
Most horrific injury? BROCK LESNAR calling him grandpa.
lol
Hospitals need cash for surgeries just like pharma needs cash for anti depressants/ anti anxiety meds instead of psychedelic meds which are illegal
Contact Wrestling Takes Its Toll On Wrestling Personal Years
Both dese guys share the same bday as me 🐐🐐
no way!
Did hulk say im seven years old lol love hogan 😂
Joe, the danger of stem cell treatment in America is less money for health insurance companies.
cant deny that
“Oh you got me brother , get my wife and kids on the phone 📞 “
7:00 hulk's looking a bit old for 7 years old
😂😂
Having money will for sure change your life… but it ALSO allows you to do things that the “middle class” (which EVERYONE thinks they are but they’re NOT) - can’t. So like Hulk being able to eat good - which he either has a chef or he orders pre made food, being able to put a gym in house … you can CHOOSE a Doctor instead of seeing some random dude who walks in… Having money can for sure increase your life expectancy vs a poor overweight depressed man who eats bad an no exercise and hasn’t been to the Dr in 15 years bc of no insurance
its about having time and options
@@Joeandbros yupp, agreed- Money is usually the answer to that
totally yeah@@spangdeez498
My hip replacement lasted like 4 years n they went back in and now it’s all messed up again . Changing doctors I can’t do it with this guy been trying to get my right one done the arthritis is brutal but he really messed the lady up might be priority now sucks
sorry to hear that
on the stem cells, it's all about money, and it actually helps people.. if they could turn it in to like you are saying, once a week go in and get more they might think about it..
agreed its all money
Dude said, dragging the rock around......right, sure you did. The Rock made you look good way past your prime.
LEGEND!
agree!
And they say wrestling is fake
exactly!
Undertaker never injured you. Your neck never touched the mat.
*chair
Yep, he got him brother it was so bad he had to get his wife and kids on the phone
It's nice to have the money to get stem sell therapy. I work construction and have 17 years till I retire
Man, I'm 32 and my right knee is shot. I joined the union so I'm probably gonna retire before the actual retirement age just because I'll have that pension.
we really need access asap
have knee problems too!
Well think off jumping off your feet and landing on one hip same side every night for 20yrs + not only on your hip but your back its jarring your spine its off whacked , your not landing flat on your ass straight its on a angle so that tilt will hurt
Stem cells would ruin the medical mafia.
thats for sure
I’ve been in bed because of back pain for 6 years! Can’t sit. Can barely walk. If they can’t fix a rich guy like him with access to everything? I have no chance!
look up 12 minutes foundation training. Saved my life
Use Crutches when you walk
sorry to hear that back pain sucks
Just laying is probably making it worse...you gotta try to walk,stretch..something...gotta get thru it....hope you feel better eventually
Is Hogan just going to sit there and not confess to having cheated the Iron Sheik out of the Heavyweight title???
We need to reopen this cold case immediately!
I HAD BACK SURGERY EIGHT DAYS A WEEK, BROTHER. KNEES WERE FUSED TOGETHER FOUR SECONDS BEFORE I FOUGHT DWAYNE JOHNSON AT WRESTLEMANIA 4, BROTHER.
Simple answer; their is no money in cure the money is in the comeback
I'm approaching 50, and I'm glad I've never had the injuries that Hogan has had. I guess a question that could be asked is, would you be prepared to have Hogan's injuries, if it meant earning the kind of money he has over his working life?
he has ruined his body for fame
@@Joeandbros Fame or money? Hogan talks money.
tomatoe, tomatoe.@@Tehui1974
Hulk Hogan is the only man that's ever beat Chuck Norris. Just ask him...
haha the myth the legend
Let everyone use what ever medications works for them.
Seems to be in good shape with all those surgery’s 😂
exactly
Rogan is the only guy dumb enough to fall for Hogan’s BS. 😂
