I am originally from Ecuador 🇪🇨 and I grew up watching the WWF and Hulk Hogan. Regarless of his tough life or bad decisions as any other regular human, he was my favorite. Believe it or not, the translators were kind of slow at the time, so when he spoke I was able to catch his words and phrases in English. I learned some of my first words in english thanks to Hulk Hogan. Of course there were other shows and entertainments; however, the "Lucha Libre" was amazing in the 80s. Awesome memories! Good show Rogan. Good to see Mr. Hogan is in good shape.

Had to retire from the Fire Department from a knee injury. Hogan is right about the knees being tricky. Had multiple scopes, draining and finally microfracture surgery. I dread the recovery and rehab as Joe stated. I am facing total knee replacement but am seriously thinking about stem cells.

I would love to try stem cell therapy. I’ve had 22 surgeries since 1993. Two low back, two neck, bi-lateral carpal tunnel, five left ankle, three major abdominal, and a bunch of small ones. I still need more neck, back, and ankle surgery, as well as my right hip replaced.

Glad and grateful for these warriors that literally or physically put their bodies on the line to bring us awesome entertainment! I've had lot's of total spine surgeries for discs that just popped out and ate muscle off the bone. Left with permanent nerve damage from screws falling apart. Before the drop foot my brother and I were running 10 flat in the 100...yd lol. Not meter. After years of tree work, lifting cars, went to Larry Holmes in Easton..His and Ali's trainers wanted me to give up drinking and girls... little did they know that after hitting the bag for them, I hit it so hard my back cracked.. I needed too many surgeries to come back.

I was active duty Navy @ my 25 year mark during these surgeries and forced out because I couldn't screen for my next assignment! Back surgeries are no joke and it's loaded with horrific pain, suffering and withdrawals because you are on and off of pain meds!

The biggest problem with opiate based pain meds is when you run out. The longer you take 'em the more you need to take.... Where I live in Canada, doctors won't raise your medication, they'd rather you go broke buying pills from drug dealers then give you the small increase needed to function at a normal level. I have to purposely withdrawal on my days off in order to have enough meds to get through a work day. The doctor's solution is to pump you full of methadone, which is way more powerful than pills, the withdrawals are ten times worse and if you have to be on it for more than a couple of years, your teeth will start falling out. Everyone I know who is on methadone has lost their teeth.

This happened to me. I was referred to a methadone clinic when i was 21 y/o, by a social worker when i should have been sent to rehab. Anyway, I was on methadone for 10 years and now i have no teeth. I am 34. None. Dental work is so expensive and i refuse to live my life with dentures. Thankfully I found a good job I can work remotely, or else I would be screwed. People think I am a methamphetamine addict because of my teeth everwhere i go. It's really tough. So, I just stay in the house, with my dog. He doesn't care what I look like. I just wish I would have been made aware of the side effects of the methadone before I was given it. Also, I tried to get off of it cold turkey and had the worst withdrawals I have ever had for over a month before I gave up. I had to get back on heroin, to get my body dependent on that, so i could have a normal detox. That shit is 100% poison.

So like Hulk being able to eat good - which he either has a chef or he orders pre made food, being able to put a gym in house … you can CHOOSE a Doctor instead of seeing some random dude who walks in… Having money can for sure increase your life expectancy vs a poor overweight depressed man who eats bad an no exercise and hasn’t been to the Dr in 15 years bc of no insurance
