One of the best talks I have listened to. Dr Tariq seems very clear in his vision. I hope our society becomes able to recognise such people, appreciate them and LET them do better for our society.
And how Muzamil kept the conversation up and helped streamline it for the listeners, is commendable.

What I find amazing in your podcast is that you are talking about things that were kinda always there in our subconscious but were silenced by either social pressures or by our own parents or any other distraction. But it's out there now thanks to you. Secondly you are changing the perspective of people. You are changing the way how people look at any issue. You are breaking the outdated norms that we've been following our entire life not knowing what's the purpose of this. You are a rebel with a cause. Keep going dude. MASHALLAH another amazing and insightful podcast I had some points but Dr. shb cleared them comprehensively. It's much more to "Mujhe nokri ni mil ri" and "Imran Khan corrupt to ni ha na" than we think.

This is eye-opening and explains why our PhD research output is hot garbage. This also explains why we lack quality thought leadership and content from the nations' executives. As a journalist, I struggle to find executives who can offer a unique POV on a variety of business issues. This whole episode explains the root of the issue.

Great conversation. Many thanks to Muzammil and Dr. Tariq Banuri. The more I study about issues in current Pakistan, the more I believe that we still have a colonial mindset unfortunately. Productive, competent and talented people should be brought forward and their skills should be utilized for the betterment of country. In my experience while living in Europe, the research department of the universities and even the laboratories have a high research output due to the funding from the industries for real life applications.
I hope there is a huge collaboration between industries and universities to work on new projects.
For example fix the railway system in Pakistan by a direct involvement of professors and students to have fresh set up of new ideas. Plus the academic resources to journals and articles should be available to students and professors for a strong bibliographic reference.

Partnership for research purposes only or co-op for students. Not for obtaining of university resources. Money should flow from industry to universities not otherewise. University industrial partnership exists in develped counties, but must be done in a way not to cost universties. Also one must note industry will only cooprate with university iff university students and professors are able to help industry as well.

First time i liked your program because first time you have interviewed real scholar who left this preordinary useless css career and persue for phd to serve humanity in true mannners.if css is for serving people then why he left css and number one group so called PAS.thing is that as he told we have lack of governance and structural issues.through css we are not getting experts in relavant fields thats is why pakistan is not doing better in any feild.last time you asked question regarding experty from assisstant commissioner islamabad,he said we are lucky that through this exam poor people can come and become ac dc and all but the thing is that we have to think for country first if our country flourish then automatically poor people will flourish.if you wana help poor people there are thousands of ways to help them to make their education proper even by giving them scholarships and then get benefit from their experties.if whole world has not such type of useless exam other than india and bangladesh then is it right to persue css??we should learn from developed countries how to run country like pakistan.we dont need pak affair english essay indo pak history paper and english preci pass people rather we need experts like phd holders in relavant fields like this intelligent and wise man.

Dr. Tariq's stance on the HEC Chairman position led me to finally write something down.
A position of power shouldn't be exploited for personal interests. Steps should be taken to minimize that, which Dr. sahb tried to do
I get reminded of our Islamic history: _Khulafa e Rashidun_ weren't eager to become Caliphs. They knew and internalized the burden of leading the ummah and the strict accountability waiting for them on the Judgement Day.

There are many flaws in Higher Education System of Pakistan.
Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) is a MAFIA and don't want to promote BTech Engineering/Engineering Technology.
National Technology Council (NTC)'s ACT is pending since 2015 and Service Structure hasn't been approved for BTech Engineers till yet.
Actually PEC Engineering and BTech were same and both the Degree students were studying the same books but then this HEC's chairman Mr. Tariq Banouri and PEC MAFIA Engineers changed curriculum of BTech Engineers in 2016/2017 so a new scheme of study was introduced for BTech Engineers and also the title change from BTech Engineers to Engineering Technologists.
This chairman, Mr. Tariq Banouri appointed Mr. Imtiaz Gillani as chairman of National Technology Council (NTC) on his Power Basis.
Engineering Technology is also 4-Years Degree but 3 years theory and 1 year Internship/Project.
Now I studied Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) 3-Years in 2011 and after that I have studied BTech Engineering 4-Years in 2015 UET Peshawar, so a total of 7 -Years I have spent in studying Engineering but still PEC MAFIA Engineers say that we don't accept you even PEC MAFIA Engineers have studied only 4-Years Engineering (B.Sc/BE Engineering) .
    Shame, Shame, Shame 😞
Mr. Tariq Banouri and Mr. Imtiaz Gillani - You both are answerable.
KHUDA ko kya jawab dengay ap log jab hanara itna keemti tym waste kiya or pese zaya kiay.
This person, Mr. Tariq Banouri just wasted the technical education (BTech Engineering) in Pakistan.
ALLAH ap sab ko hidayat de warna to tabah karde ap sab ko. AMEEN.
