Thanks, Amos! This is a bit more ballad-like than the original, but I like it!
So, The Great Mouse Detective came out 35 years ago today. It is probably the Disney I have seen the most times (except for Aladdin), and I've always liked it. It came out it in time where Disney still had some teeth - smoking, drinking, murder, and cabaret numbers in a Disney movie - what an era!
This song is the said cabaret number and was written and performed by Melissa Manchester. I always did like song - kind of swingy, jazzy, sort of piece. Good stuff.
