I did this build, the Corsair adapter allows a 4090fe to fit without issues. Running a 7800x3d, d12l cooler, 1x140mm exhaust fan on the side, Corsair adapter on the 4090 FE, 80mm rear exhaust fan. It all fits. Even with an SFXL power supply
the corsair adapter? like their 12vhpwr cable that they sell or are you talking about something else, cuz honestly that's the only thing stopping me from getting this case
Bought this case, it´s the most versitile mini itx case I ever had (I had Cooler Master NR200, Lian Li TU150, Silverstone SG13B, Corsair 250D). You can mount PSU multiple ways, top can be bottom, power cable can be reposition, power button can be reposition, fan mounts on top, bottom, front and back, water cool up to 240mm, IO can be moved to top or bottom, I can deshorud my GPU to let 2x140mm cool it, etc
I have a small suggestion that could come in handy to some group of people. When you show CPU temps or even GPU temps, show also a fan RPM's, that way we will have some idea about potential noise floor that specific build will have in this case (not ideal but better then without this info).
Thank you so mcuh for the video and detailed stages! I watched this build over and over again and finished my first SSF build! Compared to my Torrent, SSF is definitely noiser, but still I love the compact design and such giving me some confidence of bringing it around in the future. The build quality of SSUPD is below my expectation, I wonder what's next haha
I went to the main site after looking at your review of the case. What caught my eye in the explanations was the capability to install 3 x 3.5" Drives. Which most cases otherwise, would be the most difficult thing to do.
I build one too, with 11900K and MSI RTX 3080 and an AIO CPU Cooler by cooler master. First at all, other than in this video, the manual says that the AIO Fans have to intake the airflow in the case. So they are mounted between the radiator and the case panel. Not IN the case. Like in the video. Than u get better temps. I matched it with a 11900K @ 5 GHz at 1.235V for mostly max 65 degrees and an undervolted 3080 1830 MHz at 850mV for around max 72 degrees. It depends on the game. Especially „The Finals“. Than the whole case in on fire. I don’t recommend to use an ATX PSU because you haven’t enough space to build. If u want to use an AIO by arctic, maybe th liquid freezer 240, it doesn’t fit, because the tubes at the pump aren’t bendable. So they push in the radiator and you can’t mount the radiator. I would recommend to use a smaller GPU without an extreme overclocking setup. My 3080 had before the undervolting always an heat limitation because the card takes so much power, standard config by msi, that it gets hotter and hotter (max. Locked Temperatur is 83 degree) . After the undervolting everything is still and cool. I play in 2k and i want alle the fps i can get. I would recommend to use this case and its setup for 1080p or for a fixed fps like 60 so you don’t have to optimize the whole system. I hope that i could help u with my experience. :)
You're killing it with the intros!, thanks for sharing thoughts and comparison with things like big graphic cards, pros and cons , and what you used to control cooling with the NZXT AIO.
i got the same build minus the gpu i swooped it out for the 7700xt raedeon and now my pc shut up every time i play a few games the build is amazing just wish it stopped cutting off on me.
With your L12S setup, did you have the CPU fan pushing air up through the heat sink when the fans on the case where set to intake and/or exhaust. Im trying to track down the reason why mine runs much hotter than yours with more fans shoved in my case. I have the C14S with a dual fan set up both in exhaust and my temps are always around 75-80 in games so far. I would think with my bigger heat sink i should see lower temps that. Might just be my fan curves are set wrong as well
Worth mentioning the nr200p has relatively large feet compared to the meshroom, you can get smaller, even print your own to get the height you want, just thought id put this out there as they are very similar in dimension
There is some slim U-shape pci-e connectors that can move the connector to the top of the gpu, but can hit the aio / aircooler depends to its position.
I have this case with and air setup. Basically the exact same as he had it with the 140mm fans set to exhaust but my thermals are way higher. My gpu gets to 85C :(
The Kraken 240 isn't great, I used one to replace a liquid freezer III 240 that wouldn't fit in a case and it was 10C warmer just at idle with similar settings. 240 radiators aren't usually much better than good air coolers they can just do it with less fan speed/noise.
One issue...horizontally mounting a GPU that uses a vapor chamber for cooling (most of the current generation of GPUs) causes them to be less effective.
Which direction did you have the NH-L12S fan blowing in your config? I would think it would be away from the motherboard with the 2x140mm in exhaust modes. I really like that config as it seems better than blocking all the airflow with a huge heatsink - and your results seem to bear it out.
I've got this case with a 7800x3D and an Asus rog b650e and a 7900 XT. I purchased the D12L but after watching this I'm not sure now if I should go with a C14s + 2 exhaust fans, so I've ordered one today. Still have to start the build. Any advice?
When u set your side fans to exhaust with your low profile CPU cooler, did you flip over the fan for the CPU cooler as well to achieve 5 degrees difference in temp?
hey do you think its possible to mount a fan controller in the system with 2 2.5 ssds? And also how do you think the noctua Nh C-14s would fit with the 140 mm fans mounted on the bottom with the 140 mm side fans?
