One thing I always loved about Apollo's character is he had class. I know he lowered himself to get Rocky to fight in the 2nd one...but he still wasn't low class about it...and after the fight he congratulates Rocky. Nothing but respect.
My Grandfather was very much like Mickey. He died from cancer. He always made sure I was giving my best in every I did. His last words were to me was "Iove you Kid." It was heartbreaking but he believed in me. Now I watch Rocky 3 with my Grandchildren and I tell them how wonderful their Great Great Grandfather was.
I love hearing about people's grandparents. I never knew mine. My dad grew up in an orphanage, and my mom's parents died of cancer before I knew them. So it's cool to hear about the things people learned from their grandparents and their experiences with them.
Those paintings were done by Leroy Nieman a master impressionist who also did the 80 Olympic posters , he is one of the great masters. I met him in 1996 Olympics, these posters were also available at Burger King in the 80’s. Leroy had past away a few years back. Great movie
@@BossMovieReactionsNeiman actually played the ring announcer in the boxing/wrestling match with Thunderlips. He also has a small role in Rocky IV (try to spot him). Neiman actually influenced Stallone’s painting style and were friends. I actually had a Neiman lithograph of George Foreman. Neiman was a huge fight fan.

I love this one the most of the Rocky movies because it shows what can happen after one reaches the top and then falls and then rises again. Sometimes success can bring it's own challenges and it can be easy to get complacent/cocky.
Apollo was the champ, but he was gracious in losing in Rocky II. Don't know if you remember, but Apollo patted Rocky on the head and held up Rocky's arm at the end of Rocky II. Then, in what I think is one of the greatest character arcs ever in movies, Apollo becomes Rocky's ally and friend. One of the best lines, because it was unexpected, was Apollo telling Rocky, "Do everybody a favor and drop this chump."

I have subscribed to your youtube channel and liked your Rocky Reaction Videos. Thank you for watching and reacting to one of my favourite movie series of all time , The Rocky Series. I was fortunate to be born in the late 80's and be motivated and inspired to grow up watching Rocky movies (especially Rocky 3 my first ever Rocky Movie) through my childhood in the 90's when boxing was great with real boxing (heavyweight) legends and icons back then such as iron Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, The G.O.AT (The Greatest Of All Time) Muhammad Ali , Smokin Joe Fraizer, GeorgeForeman, The Rock Rocky Marciano , Lennox Lewis, Frank Bruno e.t.c. and beingba massive , huge boxing fan growing up throughout my childhood, i especially have my uncle to thank for getting me into the Rocky movies and introducing me to my first ever Rocky movie, Rocky 3 that is something is will never forget as my uncle knew how much of a big, huge, massive boxing fan i was back in the 1990's and we still share that boxing bond today and still talk about the Rocky Movies. Whenever I feel like not working out or don't feel motivated, as soon as i hear the rocky montages and / or watch the Rocky movie saga (which i have watched countless times and can't begin to count how many times i have watched it) , then i feel so motivated agd inspired to workout , get as fit as possible and it's all thanks to Sylvester Stallone in particular, but also everyone else that helped make the rocky movie saga , my uncle for introducing me to rocky being a big , massive, huge boxing fan i was back then and also the character Rocky Balboa himself for inspiring and motivating me still to this day. Rocky movie saga is and always will be my one of my top favourite movie saga's , along with The Green Mile Movie i think you should watch and react to if you haven't already seen it , but i suggest you have plenty of tissues with you, because you will need them as it woll more than likely break your hearts more than the sad scenes In the rocky movies. I also recommend my personal favourite horror / Halloween movies definitely Jeepers Creepers (whuch is based on a true story at the start of the first scene of that movie) and also The Ring. If your looking for a great laugh i also recommend Ace Ventura Pet Detective. Free willy 1, 2 and 3 are better than Jaws imo.
@@BossMovieReactions Thank you , also forgot to mention if you like a laugh at animated movies then I recommend "Shrek and definitely Chicken Run" which is also similar to toy story and just as great as The Lion King, but you might need tissue for the lion king aswel. The Titanic is another classic movie aswell and heartbreaking.
Great reaction guys to my favourite Rocky 3 movie. Great story one of the saddest deaths ever and one stallones best performances next toi rambo first blood. Big thumbs up[ to you guys
My father once said to me: if you don't know what to do, ask yourself:" What would Rocky do?. He thinks (and i do, too) Rocky is like every man should be. Every single one. And he thinks Adrian is like every woman should be. I agree.
I tell you what... Sylvester Stallone is so underrated as a dramatic actor. That cry of grief in the locker room when Mick died sounds like the real thing. Unfortunately I've heard the real thing a few times. I don't know where an actor has to "go" in his psyche to summon that up, but it's somewhere dark... And OMG, thank you so much for keeping the entire scene on the beach together between Rocky and Adrian. Nobody I've seen does that and it really loses the power when it's chopped up. 🙏❤️👍 Beautiful performance by Sly.. and of course, another beautiful reaction by Mike and Jessica. Psst.. Jerry McGuire ❤️👍😎
Hello GBM, yes, agreed, Stallone is an underrated actor for sure! And you're right, I kept almost the entire beach scene with Adrian because it was so powerful. It was my favorite scene as I mentioned in my "Afterthoughts" video. Also, thanks for the reminder, I'll move JMG up in our cue! Have a great Sunday, my friend! (:
Glad you're enjoying these great movies guys. Carl Weathers who played Apollo was the best friend of the main character in numerous of my favourite movies, so it felt almost like he was my friend. God bless him and Burt Young who played Paulie. RIP to them both. They were perfect for their roles in the Rocky movies.
Just wanted to say that you guys are the best! Love the fact your watching my favorite movies, rocky 1-6. Rocky 4-6 are very different from rocky 1-3 but it's sooooo important to watch rocky 1-6 so that you can jump into what follows and that's creed 1,2,3. The reason they decided to start every movie from where the last movie ended was because there were so many years in-between movies so to keep you up to date, most of all of the movies start with the end of the last movie. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!! Keep it going
I love this movie so much ❤❤❤I can't get through this without tissues 😢😢😢loved your reaction❤❤I swear yall are the cutest couple I have ever seen ❤❤❤I adore yall ❤❤❤I can't wait to see Unnamed ❤❤❤

Watching Mr. Boss get emotional really hit me but you guys are such a breath of fresh air and your reactions are always so genuine and Mr. and Mrs. Boss have become my favorite reaction channel. Get ready for Rocky 4
Thank you, Alex. We're planning to continue as long as time permits. We might have to take a break when we shoot our own movies, but there will be updates. Thanks for watching! (:
Thanks for showing the scene with Rocky and Adrienne on the beach when she breaks him down in its entirety. Amazing to see Adriennes character arc from the first movie where she was painfully shy to the woman she became in this movie.
Hi Jonathan, yeah, I only cut very little from Adrian's beach speech because it was so powerful. I talk about that scene and Adrian's arc in my "Afterthoughts" video: th-cam.com/video/J-5oGMlz7Pc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IGuShd6ZjpfOtAHB
Another fun watch along with you guys. As much as I appreciate all of your reactions throughout the movie, I'm actually glad that you didn't rank this one compared to the first two. It's fine just to love it because it's a continuation of the Rocky story. It has plenty of authenticity and truth. It doesn't have to be as good as the first two in order to be worth watching. People put a little too much importance on which one you like the best. This was good for it's own sake. I'll look forward to 4 and your afterthoughts for this one!
Yeah, everybody has their own meaningful connection to these Rocky films. If I watch a movie and I score it 7-10 I'm thrilled, because most new movies get extremely low scores from me. Rocky ROCKS! See for R4. (:
Great job guys...love your reviews..a couple of trivia rides but in this movie..the announcer in the wrestling portion is Leroy Neiman..famed painter and his painting is featured at the very end credits of Rocky and Creed..also the very first shot of the statue scene..a high school dru.mer had Mr T sign his drum and you can clearly see the signature
Apparently, after finishing the film, they did a private screening for the cast, crew, and family members and Mr. T's mom was not happy with her sons character. And during the scene when he talks to Rocky's wife about sleeping with a real man... his mother turned to him and said "I didn't raise you to be like that" and was upset lol.
There are 6 Rocky movies then there is the Creed films which continues Rocky's story and is a passing of the torch. You gotta watch them all if you are on this journey
I'm glad you made it to this. It was the trilogy. This really was the one for me. I wont comment on the ones that followed. But for me , One, Two and Three are what Rocky is all about. PS And you two are a great couple and a great team.
It's been decades since I first saw this. It was my first "Rocky" film, as I was too young to see the others in theaters. To this day, Mickey's passing hits me harder than any blow Rocky ever took in the ring. All about the heart.
Love Rocky and I’m a huge Sly fan. Speaking of the statue there’s also a Rocky day every yr in Philly. Sly has attended several times. Also the pity the fool line was given to him by Sly
Greatest truth-bomb in all Rocky's when Mick said "YOU CAN'T WIN ROCK! THIS GUY WILL KILL YOU TO DEATH INSIDE OF 3 ROUNDS!". Rocky should have listened.
@@BossMovieReactionsDon't forget him completely misquoting the bible. Mick: "like the bible says, you're gonna eat lightning and crap thunder". It will give you what the bible calls a psychological edge". Yeah, sorry Mick but these weren't in the bible lol
In 1974, Mohammad Ali fought a young (and big) George Foreman. Foreman had been knocking guys out and was said to have tremendous power in his punches. Ali, starting to be past his prime, fought Foreman in Africa. Ali had a strategy...and it was to let Foreman get tired. Foreman hadn't fought for very long in his matches and most ended quickly due to his power. But Ali took punches and avoided a lot. Foreman was swinging so wild and hard but Ali did a great job avoiding any real damage. Ali won by knockout (some say the count was quick, but you could tell Foreman was done). Foreman had swung so much that it literally made him exhausted. This seems to be Rocky's strategy as well....Clubber had never been past the first few rounds and Rocky took him into the "deep water" and showed how champions really handle pressure.
Hi Thomas, I didn't know about Paulie being a boxer in real life until someone mentioned it. Then I looked him up and saw some cool pictures of him with boxing gear, etc. Cool stuff, cool fact. Thx! (:
LeRoy Neiman is the artist behind the famous Rocky versus Apollo painting. He is in this movie, he is the ring announcer for the Thunder-lips fight! (The dude with the crazy mustache)
Former opponents becoming friends to where one begins to train the other has happened in real life boxing too. One I know of is "Irish Micky Ward and Arturo "Thunder" Gatti. They fought each other three times in some of the best fights of all time (especially their first one). Ward would retire after their third fight. Gatti continued fighting and invited Ward to be in his corner for a few fights and eventually Ward would train Gatti at the tail end of his career. Ward has a movie about his career called "The Fighter" which is a good movie, which I recommend, but they don't show the Gatti fights. Another boxing movie you should watch after the Rocky movies is "Cinderella Man" starring Russel Crowe, which is based off a real life fighter James J. Braddock.
I pity the fool who doesn't subscribe to this channel
Haha, that's awesome! Made me laugh! (:

If your looking for a great laugh i also recommend Ace Ventura Pet Detective. Free willy 1, 2 and 3 are better than Jaws imo.
Thanks for sharing your story. I put your suggestions on our list. Thx! (:
@@BossMovieReactions Thank you , also forgot to mention if you like a laugh at animated movies then I recommend "Shrek and definitely Chicken Run" which is also similar to toy story and just as great as The Lion King, but you might need tissue for the lion king aswel.
The Titanic is another classic movie aswell and heartbreaking.
@@WillS.TheSuperReds. Thank you, I made a note of it. Also, thanks for subscribing!! (:

Great reaction guys to my favourite Rocky 3 movie. Great story one of the saddest deaths ever and one stallones best performances next toi rambo first blood. Big thumbs up[ to you guys
Thank you so much, Ian!! Stay tuned for R4. (:
My father once said to me: if you don't know what to do, ask yourself:" What would Rocky do?. He thinks (and i do, too) Rocky is like every man should be. Every single one.
And he thinks Adrian is like every woman should be. I agree.
That's great stuff, thank you for sharing! (:
Good for you ❤😂
Thank you! (:
Mr.T won a Best Bouncer competition that caught Stallone's attention so he gave him a read. The rest is history.
That's a new piece of Trivia! Thx! (:
Loved mr T in the A TEAM
Rocky iV is one of my favorites. I think it is enjoyed by Rocky fans as well.
I'm currently editing R4, so stay tuned! (:
Wait til you guys see Rocky IV 😳 enjoyed your review guys thanks 👍🏻
Thanks, Matt. Whoa, yeah, I'm currently editing R4, so stay tuned! (:
Rocky III is my favourite in the franchise 💜
I can't decide between 1-3, they're all so good!
Yeah, they were both perfect for the Rocky movies. I didn't know Burt died until yesterday. RIP. /-:
Just wanted to say that you guys are the best! Love the fact your watching my favorite movies, rocky 1-6. Rocky 4-6 are very different from rocky 1-3 but it's sooooo important to watch rocky 1-6 so that you can jump into what follows and that's creed 1,2,3.
The reason they decided to start every movie from where the last movie ended was because there were so many years in-between movies so to keep you up to date, most of all of the movies start with the end of the last movie.
LOVE YOU GUYS!!!! Keep it going
Thank you so much for your kind words, Emanuel, we appreciate it! I'm currently editing R4, so stay tuned! (:
I forgot you guys did this reaction Saturday and just remembered it today. Another great reaction.
Yes, I'm glad you remembered. I'm editing every day and hope we can release R4 this coming Saturday. Stay tuned! (:
I love this movie so much ❤❤❤I can't get through this without tissues 😢😢😢loved your reaction❤❤I swear yall are the cutest couple I have ever seen ❤❤❤I adore yall ❤❤❤I can't wait to see Unnamed ❤❤❤
Hello Marlaina, good to "see" you here, and THANK YOU for your kind words and all the HEARTS. We love it!! Yes, this movie was so sad and yet so powerful. Unnamed should be out for streaming early next year. Thanks for being part of our journey! (:
Watching the scene of Mickeys passing was so hard for me because of my father passing this past January. Watching Mr. Boss get emotional really hit me but you guys are such a breath of fresh air and your reactions are always so genuine and Mr. and Mrs. Boss have become my favorite reaction channel. Get ready for Rocky 4
Thank you, Ron. Sorry to hear about your dad. Mine passed on January 9th, 2022. /-:
Great reaction 😊
Thank you, Pilar!! 😁
You made it to 3. Glad to see you two today. Great movie again.
Yes, and I started editing R4. (:
You both are making me fall in love with Rocky all over again.. Great reaction! : )
Oh, that's fantastic!! Thank you! We're definitely in love with Rocky as well. See ya for R4. (:
This and the next are my faves glad you liked it
Yeah, this was great!! I'm currently editing R4, so stay tuned! (:
* You guys are a very nice couple. I hope you keep doing movie reactions.
Thank you, Alex. We're planning to continue as long as time permits. We might have to take a break when we shoot our own movies, but there will be updates. Thanks for watching! (:
You 2 are really a joy to watch!
Thank you!! (:

So do we. Thank you!! Started editing R5 today! (: (:
Another great reaction. Love you guys. ❤
Thank you so much, Robert!!
I loved your passion guys!!!! can’t wait for you to do Star Wars
Thank you, sir, we'll keep it in mind! (:
Great seeing you for another Rocky!!! Look forward to seeing you at the next one!
✌❤✌
That's great, thank you! R4 is coming! (:
See for R4. (:
No matter how many times I see that Micky death scene it always gets me in the feels.
Yeah, so sad indeed!
Thanks for the trivia! (:
Love you guys! (Your friend Justin 😂)
Heyyyy, Buddy!! So good to see you here! Thanks for commenting! We love and appreciate you! (:
Hello guys good to see you again love your reactions I hope you enjoy Rocky 3 and get ready for Rocky 4

I pity the fool! I pity the fool! Hey yo Adrian ... I pity the fool! I pity the fool!
Ok, I couldn't help it.
Haha, that's quite alright, we get it!! (:
Apparently, after finishing the film, they did a private screening for the cast, crew, and family members and Mr. T's mom was not happy with her sons character. And during the scene when he talks to Rocky's wife about sleeping with a real man... his mother turned to him and said "I didn't raise you to be like that" and was upset lol.
Haha, yeah, I've read that in the trivia. Funny! (:
There are 6 Rocky movies then there is the Creed films which continues Rocky's story and is a passing of the torch. You gotta watch them all if you are on this journey
Hi William, yes, we'll definitely watch all the Rocky movies. We're still debating about Creed, but we're considering it. Thx! (:
@@BossMovieReactions For sure watch Creed 1 and 2 with Rocky in it!
Great reaction again! Except for the 5th one, Rocky really knows how to get into your soul.
Yes, well said, David. He knows how to get into your soul. (:
Another great one, Can’t wait for the next!
BTW… my wife and I had our photo taken next to Rocky’s statue in Philly in the late 80’s.
That's great, thanks for sharing! R4 is coming! (:
The paintings were done by Leroy Neiman , he was a famous artist . He played the announcer in this film , during Rocky and Hulk Hogan .
Yeah, I just looked him up yesterday. Love his paintings! (:
I'm glad you made it to this. It was the trilogy. This really was the one for me. I wont comment on the ones that followed. But for me , One, Two and Three are what Rocky is all about. PS And you two are a great couple and a great team.
Thanks for your kind words. Yes, 1-3 were fantastic. I'm currently editing R4. (:
@@BossMovieReactions Welcome. Good luck with the others. :)
@@Sd-cl6of 👍
It's been decades since I first saw this. It was my first "Rocky" film, as I was too young to see the others in theaters. To this day, Mickey's passing hits me harder than any blow Rocky ever took in the ring. All about the heart.
Yeah, all about the heart indeed, brother. Thanks for watching along with us! (:
I wish I would have just reacted to III, IV, & V altogether back to back. Now I can't wait for yall to watch part IV and especially part V
Haha, yeah, I know the wait can be bothersome. I'm currently editing R4, so stay tuned! (:
Love Rocky and I’m a huge Sly fan. Speaking of the statue there’s also a Rocky day every yr in Philly. Sly has attended several times. Also the pity the fool line was given to him by Sly
Fantastic! Thanks for that! (:
The late great middleweight boxer Marvin Hagler said that it's hard stay motivated when you're sleeping in silk sheets!
Oh, wow, how interesting. Thanks for sharing! (:
Thank you for your reactions.
Thank you, LB, and have a great weekend! (:
Greatest truth-bomb in all Rocky's when Mick said "YOU CAN'T WIN ROCK! THIS GUY WILL KILL YOU TO DEATH INSIDE OF 3 ROUNDS!". Rocky should have listened.
Yeah, Mickey is the champ of truth bombs. "Your fighting career is over" - "They were handpicked" - "You're a bum." OMG!! (:
@@BossMovieReactionsDon't forget him completely misquoting the bible. Mick: "like the bible says, you're gonna eat lightning and crap thunder". It will give you what the bible calls a psychological edge". Yeah, sorry Mick but these weren't in the bible lol
@@adampare8088 Yeah, I think that's the second time... (:
Yep, rope-a-dope!! (:
50:11 "David against Goliath" that's a line in Rocky 4
Oh, really? I don't remember that line. I'm currently editing R4, so I'm sure I'll come across it. (:

Thanks, Mickey (like the couch). "See" ya soon for R4. (:
Did you guys know, ironically, Burt Young,"Paulie", was a very good boxer in his youth. 🙂, or so I have read. Love watching these movies with you...🙂
Hi Thomas, I didn't know about Paulie being a boxer in real life until someone mentioned it. Then I looked him up and saw some cool pictures of him with boxing gear, etc. Cool stuff, cool fact. Thx! (:
Clássico inesquecível❤
Sim, isso foi ótimo! (:
LeRoy Neiman is the artist behind the famous Rocky versus Apollo painting. He is in this movie, he is the ring announcer for the Thunder-lips fight! (The dude with the crazy mustache)
I believe he was also in Rocky 2 sketching Apollo Creed as he trained jumping rope.
Oh, really? That's cool to know. LOVE the paintings! (:
I believe the blonde woman that kissed Rocky during his training for the first fight with Mr. T was Stallone's wife at the time.
Yes, as far as I know, that is correct. (:
Braddock.
Thanks for that! I added "The Fighter" to our list; "Cinderella Man" is already on it. Thx! (:
