    I agree with your video! The Gladiator is a great rig! When comparing the Mojave to the Rubicon, you did mention the lack of the front locker and sway bar disconnect, but don’t forget about the 4 to 1 transfer case.

    You're completely right about out of the box. It's the exact reason I bought the Mojave. I have 0 intentions of modifying the suspension. The stock setup on the Mojave is perfect for trail riding and it is so smooth on the road. I have a bad back so a smooth ride was super important to me.

    I recently put method beadgrip wheels and 37" KO2 tires. Not the cheapest but tough and light. I put steel bumpers front and back, and needed to find another way to bring the weight down. Add a few hundred pounds of overlanding gear and I'm leaving somebody home.
    The Beadgrips are supposed to do very close the performance to what the beadlocks do- and yes- I do find myself in those situations (when I can afford the fuel)

    Need your help please. Just found your videos as I was researching a JEEP for a future purchase. When I research them I am finding so many people having issues with a few things. For example, what about the dry start up issue because of the oil filter being empty when you first start the engine? Is the $400.00 accessory needed to be purchased and installed that has the special valve ? Also since you are in there, what about the plastic oil cooler that people are havening cracked due to heat? Then some talk of electrical issues and some say they have a generator and others say no they have an alternator? Too, the Corning Gorilla glass people are cracking them too. The rear final driver sensor people say they need to replace it? So I really thought I would like a new Jeep and do not want to buy one every year as some people do because they are afraid to put too many miles on them and worry if the engine can even last 100,000 miles or so? Or am I being swayed by some people that have just had bad luck? Hope you understand my concern and offer some good advice. I am into motorcycles too and so far this JEEP is reminding me of some of the KTM models that there are so many issues you need to know and correct before you go any where with one. Thank You Sir!!

    • @OdysseyOffroad
      @OdysseyOffroad  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Wow that's a lot let me try to answer most of that for you. In terms of the oil cooler leaking eventually that is a known problem however it's not a huge issue it's replaced under warranty it's a couple-hour job. Does it happen to every one of them no but it's one of the most common issues with the motor. In terms of the dry startup that's a huge overhyped non-issue to sell a fancy doodad that you don't need. As far as the glass goes you're going to get cracked windshields doesn't matter what glass is in it the gorilla Glass doesn't do anything to stop cracks I know people who have replaced seven windshields even with the gorilla Glass option. This is just a Jeep thing and something you're going to have to accept owning one they're more prone to rock chips because the windshield is more straight up and down not on a slant. The vehicle is not an aerodynamic unit as you probably can tell by looking at one. Any vehicle you're researching to buy you're probably going on to Facebook groups and on forums and you're going to find issues with every vehicle. The fact of the matter is people that have problems are always the loudest ones on the internet. 12 people can sound like 12,000 and information gets regurgitated and repeated. I suggest you test drive the truck. If you like it buy it, if you're worried about all these issues by the extended warranty and have no worries. 🤙🏻

      @ericjames7680 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@OdysseyOffroad Thank you so much for your help. But isn't the oil filter being dry at each start up cause a dry start? Or are you suppose to press on the brake and throttle together to just SPIN the motor? I am finding new owners that are already having top end problems?

    • @OdysseyOffroad
      @OdysseyOffroad  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ericjames7680 top end problems on this motor has been an issue for 10 years. It doesn't mean you're going to have it and it doesn't mean you won't and it has nothing to do with the oil filter. Again it's something that's covered under warranty if it does happen to you. Just like any vehicle they all have their issues that are common this is one of those with this motor. Basically they replace the camshafts and lifters if it happens.

      @@OdysseyOffroad Thank you. Yes that is what I have been finding. I think the warranty is for 3 years so it sounds best to get an extended warranty. Your help has been very helpful. Suspension feeling on Fox shocks, 33’s I don’t care about the 4 corner air suspension or V8 in my RAM. Gladiator features and ride is more fun. Rugged feeling vs too much luxury car feeling in a RAM 1500.

      If you decide to wait on the delete of the Aux battery, when you start to see the "Stop/Start Not Ready" warning at start up, your Aux battery is about to die. I was getting that warning for at least a month but didnt realize what it meant until I was left stranded in a hot Texas parking lot, when it goes it goes and kills all electrical on your jeep. It would start but i couldn't shift to drive or neutral. Had to manually put into neutral so I could have it towed.
