@@arternativeyt stalling after and above an aircraft that can't pitch up anymore is not knowing energy, it's something easy to do because the J2M is great at it and the Mustang D30 is bad at vertical fighting. This Mustang has managed to almost get guns on the J2 after a long dogfight, if the j2 flew properly it would give no chances.

Honestly the P51 fought well there was just nothing he could do to win that fight except for maybe run away
He should have just run. The only thing the 51 has on the J2 series is speed. He had a chance to dive away and should have taken it.

sorry to say but the j2m2 made major blunders starting with coming in front of his guns. He was lucky that the p51 wasn't a really good player.
