@@alexey_chekhovich I mean, I am thinking of buying a few premiums of each BR for most countries that I play, but only to pair it with premium time and actually be able to grind, cause rn I only got a single premium plane (Bf-109 F-4 from USA tech tree) and without premium it's still pain to grind, recently got the F4U-1A, and half of the modifications cost at least 3-5k, which is simply impossible to do normally unless you gotta constantly grind, and that's just for the lower BRs. I like maxing out the planes I get, but now this is simply getting impossible unless I constantly grind with a premium plane at a BR where for some reason only lvl100s that haven't gone outside in years play.

Test it out for yourself, i took bombs on a big map and ran out of fuel where i would normaly be able to glide to the runway but i didnt make it. Im pretty certain they cause drag
6:46 - 7:06 P-47 or any other bnz plane users, do not try to do what he did here, even if you crit the enemy, just climb and make another pass, do not try to turn fight and even if you are able to win, you lost all your energy in dog fighting so you’ll have to start from scratch which is really dangerous since you are probably gonna be close to the ground or a few hundred meters above ground where fighters can pick you off.
This. The P-47 is one of the heaviest fighters of this era; the *only* and I mean only thing that it has over most other fighters (and especially German fighters around this time like the Bf 109) is speed. Once that speed is bled off, you're starting from a position with absolutely zero benefits in performance and no speed with a plane nicknamed "Jug". Not what I would call ideal
@@beastdynasty6221 boom n zooming will probably be your main play style in america since their planes aren't dog fighters other than the naval line, one you get the corsairs, you can start energy fighting, but your safest option is boom n zooming and bomber hunting. And when you boom n zoom, if you get a bad pass on the opponent, just climb back up, or if they try to chase you after a pass, climb up, since they won't have energy. Oh, and side climb at around 10 - 20 degrees (depending on the aircraft), since you are rank 2, at around 2000-3500 ft is good since most players want to dog fight. Choose your fights and always be aware of players on your altitude. Good luck! TL;DR Boom n zoom and bomber hunting are safe options, but energy fighting is good if you get corsairs.
@@kowelaomost helpful comments. For me personally. I just played realistic for 2 hours with one kill in my Corsair. I'm diving into dogfights then end up with too much energy and bleeding off to keep in the fight. Allll wrong
4:30 that's not necessarily true, it's just that props lose thrust massively when above like 500-600 ias, whereas jet engines have equal thrust (without afterburner) across the speed range. Only when you get a jet engine with afterburner their thrust output increases with speed, at the cost of massive fuel consumption.
Props have power, jets have thrust. If you ignore the effects of air resistance, props will accelerate slower the faster you go, as higher speeds require more energy to accelerate. Jets, on the other hand, accelerate (mostly) linearly across all speeds. Zoom climbing wouldn't exist if jets didn't output more power (roughly the same thrust though) at higher speeds!
@@edstretton2214 mostly true, props are most commonly measured by power, jets by thrust because these figures are usually constant at all speeds, but that doesn't mean they can't be measured in the other unit. In fact, jet engines also produce constant power, what changes is the propulsive efficiency which depends on airspeed and the exhaust velocity (a jet engine has 100% propulsive efficiency when airspeed=exhaust velocity). I think you meant power in "require more energy to accelerate"? Zoom climbing is any climb where you trade kinetic energy for potential, I think you refer to the climbing method of 1. pick up a lot of speed 2. trade it for altitude. jets are better at this because their thrust doesn't fall off like in a prop. Even with it being better, climbing at Vy is simply more efficient at gaining energy.
early jets don't actually gain maximum thrust until around 500kph ias as the early compressors cant feed enough air into the combustion chamber until the air speed gets up
The exception to the gunpod rule would have to be the Mig 23. Gives you 700 instead of 200 rounds. The slight drop-off in performance is more than worth it.
I agree about climbing in p 47s just remember how easy it is to be a turkey shoot for the enemy when climbing because you lose speed and it takes forever
One more way to gain knowledge from enemy fighters is to test drive the premium fighters because many fighters has premium version of them and they are pretty much the same as the normal ones
I am a American main and I started playing war thunder about 6 months ago (I dont play all the time) and I have discovered that climbing in American planes is literally the best thing to do

(Plus you can jettison them using selective jettison).
once youre comfortable with aiming the guns take the gun pods off, the cannon on that thing can shred anyone in 1 good hit, and the gun pods lower your climb rate and turn rate more than you think, and thats especially bad on an already fat and slow plane

The best way of describing war thunder to new players is this: you know those games that are so bad that they actually become interesting and you're curious about them? A game "so bad it's good", right? War thunder is the complete opposite: it's so good that becomes frustrating to play, it's "so good it's bad".

sometimes you DO need that extra firepower. For example when I’m playing SU-25 and when I’m near a enemy base I usually have to engage in dogfights against multiple planes bc of all those reserve A10’s coming in. Since turning capabilities of both of those aircrafts are pretty bad I usually try to force the enemy into head on’s. A10’s pack a massive firepower and I try to make up for it with a couple gun pods. So I can try to engage and take care of a target as fast as possible, also making up for my bad aim with a considerable amount of spread. That being said using gun pods, especially in turn fighters is a pretty bad idea
Thank you the Video was very informative. I'm in rank 3 and played air arcade battles and am now switching to air realistic battles. Keep up the good work :)
i learned the enemy planes by keeping tabs on what killed me and how they killed me then i go find his plane in reserch and test it also over time u realize whats good bad if u stay in a tear for long enough
For point 2 and 3: i would prefer just saying energy management. Climbing sure is important but its only as useful as long as you have enough speed cause otherwise youre just a bus up there that can be dogged on easely without being able to manoeuvre out of the bullets path. Best thing you can do is maintain a high enough speed throughout the climb (for most props in my experience about 450 - 500 kph).
Uh no, you need to learn the optimal climbing speed for the plane that you're using and climb at that speed, if you climb at 500kph in props, you'll end up at 3km when all your enemies are 4-6km high, only start levelling out and getting the speed after you have an enemy close (~3-5km away)
You need two ingredients for success, Airspeed and Altitude. You can be low on either one but you must have surplus of the other to offset it. The other take away for props is if it goes fast it cant turn tight and if it can turn tight it cant go fast.
Hi there, Apparently I was playing wrong games since years, just figured out War thunder and it's a lots of Fun and flight experience and good community, thank U for video king 👑
I am a sim player since 2014 and every piece of equipment has a purpose... as far as gun pods are concerned if you use it for a dogfight role then yes it is useless however in sim we have enduring confrontation which you can assume different roles for certain sorties... if your main purpose is a bomber hunter then a gunpod comes in handy but if you plan on going head to head with a skilled pilot then you will definitely lose...basically you would have to start with a huge energy advantage and stay disciplined.
Some planes do need to rely on head on in majority of the situations, for example the Stock F-4C pilots. Their only only advantage they have is the Gau-4 which has great ballistics. Since they only have a gun and 2 aim-9B which is practically useless in 10.0.
The bf109 15 or 20 mm gun cannons on the wings is essential , I cannot stand guns mounted solely on the nose , I need some wing mounted guns along side the center mounted guns

I am a sim player since 2014 and every piece of equipment has a purpose... as far as gun pods are concerned if you use it for a dogfight role then yes it is useless however in sim we have enduring confrontation which you can assume different roles for certain sorties... if your main purpose is a bomber hunter then a gunpod comes in handy but if you plan on going head to head with a skilled pilot then you will definitely lose...basically you would have to start with a huge energy advantage and stay disciplined.
you got tipps for bomber mains?
I tend to do a head-ons if I am a lower tiered plane going up against a super high tier. Doing it for the team lol
thank you i was stuck on the p47 flying low
Some planes do need to rely on head on in majority of the situations, for example the Stock F-4C pilots. Their only only advantage they have is the Gau-4 which has great ballistics. Since they only have a gun and 2 aim-9B which is practically useless in 10.0.
I Didnt Know Nile Red played War Thunder lmao. Man you sound just like him. Good video
tysm for the tips i just started and dude i am horribal but i really wanna grind for a jet
thanks for the tips and i always have fun in war thunder i will try
i dont have war tunder but i want it and i love your videos
I started playing back in 2013, played until they added "pilot knocked out" update and just got back into it
I just play war thunder with my friend we are both not amazing players at rank 3 but we still enjoy playing together
dude your tactics for biplanes work
you call it "unnessecery fire power, i call it FREEDOM"
Hey now, I can’t lose the pods on my SB2C because they are my lifeline. Everything else yes. Good tips even for a veteran
The F-82 needs a gun pod for its role bc it can’t dogfight anyway
I seem to either just get straight up outclimbed or i don't get to do much before the game ends.
Bro said don't commit to head ons. *Takes missile to the wing and dies*
how can you look around while controlling the airplane ? if i look around i only can spin in the air
Use the wasd controls while looking
Even though they say to not bring a gunpod its fun asf to use
The bf109 15 or 20 mm gun cannons on the wings is essential , I cannot stand guns mounted solely on the nose , I need some wing mounted guns along side the center mounted guns
The best tip is to try your hardest to not give into the snail, and god forbid you do you shall be bankrupt in the span of a millisecond
Great video thanks bro. Also you sound just like Nilered 😂
mechanics making a computer that reads every plane on your screan so it knows what u need to do and looks how many jets are on your screan so u can see for what players/planes u need to look out for
good tip for new players, dont get cocky.
i just got a war thunder ad on a war thunder video XD
Thank you so much for the tips!😄
Perennial what would you suggest to keep your pilot from passing out while turning in jet RB?
level up the G tolerance and Stamina, when you start blacking out hold the pitch-down key for like half a second then keep pulling hard
@@CyberBot17 thx for the tip
