  • A new "how to?" section is being added to the Flysurfer website and the channels. Flysurfer teamrider Gunnar Biniasch will be making some "How to?" videos in the coming weeks on certain points of Flysurfer handling.
This is the 2nd in the series, how to launch and land a Flysurfer kite before or after a session, launching and landing your kite this way will ensure you that you will be on the water within 3 minutes, the next time you pull that Flysurfer kite out of the bag!

Hi Frederic, if you pack up decent, most of the time, when unpacking and laying out, you can start right away, we always recommend to do a line-check if everything is proper before launching, this is very easy to do where the bridle splits in the 4 flying lines, the 2 frontlines must always remain clear and all other lines should fall under that, then the line set is sorted. Take care and greetings, (RS)

Of course you can, but there is always the risk of the kite falling into the water, especially when learning new stuff, such as riding a board. We always recommend to use kiteboarding kites that are designed for that.

Red pulley on the depower line gives you more DEpower (less power)... the black one gives you less depwer (more power).

HI FS team, question from a non-foil rider, who may very well be interested in switching soon.
Is there any risk when packing up but also when unpacking the beast that bridles end up being tangled up? Or it is just impossible unless the kite flips on itself.
    Cheers for your advice

Flysurfer foil kites actually relaunch easier and faster from the water then L.E.I. Because you can backwards relaunch them. So yes, you can start with a Flysurfer kite as a beginner, no problems what so ever.
