  • A new "how to?" section is being added to the Flysurfer website and the channels. Flysurfer teamrider Gunnar Biniasch will be making some "How to?" videos in the coming weeks on certain points of Flysurfer handling.
This is the 4th in the series, how to solo land a Flysurfer kite. ONLY perform this landing method in light to moderate winds for the kite size being used. If possible always try to land with the help of an assistant! Kite Safe, your Flysurfer team.

An excellent way to self land a flysurfer is by pulling both back lines (like in the vid), but instead of walking down the lines, you secure the back lines behind an anchor. Then you can take break or have a snack, and easily relaunch the kite for another session when ready ;-)

    hey - cool video.
What about a strong wind self landing?
    this would help a lot.
Do you pull both backlines as well?

There's no wind - or next to none. And on top, he's virtually landing in the power zone if you see correctly. Just try doing this with slightly more wind....

I tried this on my own on an empty beach with a psycho4 8m.
Can’t recommend it, Kite has been pulling me like crazy and I’m 90kg.
Also walking down the lines is very dangerous with 20+knots.
I might set up an anchor the next time, it’s very difficult to self land this way for me personally.

Hey Tobi, we agree to this fully, it is only a viable option when the wind is really light and you are in the low-end of the kites wind range.
