Westeners may assume rice is like bread in their diet. No. Its like air, you cant live without it
Thats me lol, I'm so used to eating almost everything with rice that now I cant even stand eating something like fried fish without the rice
South Asia: Biriyani
Rice and curry dishes: hold my rice grains
South Asians are united in this one thing called biryani.
@@ranjanbiswas3233 We South Asians don't eat just that. We also eat dishes like putting rice on curries like butter chicken or tikka masala, kichudi, or polao.
@@Tinykooandmikey Of course but Biryani is the best dish.
@@ranjanbiswas3233 yeah
In Poland, we eat the rice as a side dish, with meat and veggies. It's also one of ingredients of one of popular polish dishes, known as Gołąbki (Gołąb means Pigeon in Polish). It's polish take on romanian sarmale and is also known as "Polish Cabbage Rolls". In this dish, this roll's filling is made by mixing of minced meat with rice and, later, the cabbage leaves are rolled aroud filling. It's topped with tomato sauce.
Wow nice research on biryani 👏👏 can't thank you enough

5:27 When you say Tuyo, "Tow-yoh"... That sounded as Soy Sauce in Filipino. It should be "Tuh-yoh", There, It would be like that... Sun Dried Salted Fish.
Yup, it's a legit mistake from the writers...
The vid had save them though...
Yep, I was like "Who the heck eats champurado with Soy sauce??"

Rice is the blood flow of every human. Rice is cheap and plentiful. Truly a gift from the heavens.
I went to Japan with some friends last year and onigiri from a convenience store was basically a daily thing, usually for lunch while we were out and about.
The Persian saffron rice is amazing, one of the best things I have ever had.

Vietnam could become the South Korea of the future when it comes to culinary delights. They just have an amazing variety of dishes, spices, herbs, and options.
And this is coming from an Indian.
As an Indian-Iranian, I was feeling left out and not represented until they said, "Biryani" and my heart was filled with joy. Yay!
And then you probably commited suicide after seeing the biryani.
That biryani looked...so bad, though 🤣
As a rice lover, I say great video! great to see so many delicious variations! But as an Indonesia, I say my neighbor's Nasi Lemak could've been included too
Pelau from Trinidad and Tobago is indeed the best! Proud Trini!❤

Here in egypt, we have a meal called koshary, it's a cheap and filling meal and it consists of rice, lentils, onions, tomato sauce and pasta. You only really need rice and the lentils though, you can choose to add the others if you want.
When there is no Nasi Lemak in this list.

Arroz con gandules is my favorite thing 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷😁👌❤💋
