  • Rice makes up a major part of the diet of more than 3 billion people around the globe. The staple grain is used in savory dishes like Spain’s paella and sweet dishes like Filipino champorado. Rice is believed to have first been cultivated in China, which is also the world’s largest producer of rice today. While there are so many dishes that include this popular grain, we can only show some of the best regional rice dishes that exist around the globe. Here’s how rice is eaten in a few different ways around the world.

      @WinterCrystal1009 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@timothytobing7212 Well for me, the problem was the fact that they sprinkled chili powder on the rice and that the mixing was done horribly. Like, so biryani is composed of two parts: the curry and the rice. You first make the curry and dump the rice in and mix it. You add the chili powder to the curry not the rice or else it won't be fully developed. Along with that, the curry and rice are supposed to be well mixed, meaning you shouldn't see any clumps of nuts etc (like in this example) when serving as it's supposed to already be evenly mixed in the pot.

    При всём уважении к вашему обзору, вы забыли ещё одно широко известное блюдо - плов. Его очень любят в Узбекистане, Таджикистане, Туркмении, Афганистане а так же в Иране и Азербайджане. Он известен более тысячи лет и является объектом нематериального культурного наследия Узбекистана и Таджикистана. Из всего многообразия древний спор идёт между самаркандским и ферганским рецептами, какой вкуснее и полезнее для здоровья.
    Впрочем, главное во всех этих спорах - вкусно покушать. Мир вашему дому и пусть всегда на вашем столе найдётся, чем порадовать гостей!

D Malay has plenty of rice dishes like nasi lemak (national dish), nasi campur, nasi dagang, nasi kerabu, nasi ayam, nasi kandar, nasi briyani, nasi kukus n ayam goreng berempah, nasi ulam n ayam percik, minyak n kurma ayam, nasi tomato n ayam masak merah, nasi impit n rendang n much more. Nasi goreng is also popular among d Malaysian. Besides rice, we also love glutinous rice for both, savoury n sweet dishes. 😀

    In Brazil we have a rice dish called "Baião de Dois", which is made of rice and beans. Baião de Dois is usually made with leftover beans, so the raw rice is added to the already cooked beans until the rice. Other seasonings like onions, tomatoes, bell pappers, cheese, butter and nata can be added (nata is a dairy product from our region, it's a type of salty cream). It's often paired with fried or roasted meats and is a staple food from the Northeast region of Brazil.

It's polish take on romanian sarmale and is also known as "Polish Cabbage Rolls". Arab rice dishes are plenty; you gave koshari in Egypt, maqlouba and qedra rice in Palestine, mansaf in Jordan, kabsa/matchbous in the GCC region, and dolma/mahshi which is a stable in Egypt, the levant, iraq, and turkey. Also, many regions have their version of sweet rice dishes, such as "ruz wa haleeb" or rice and milk and an iraqi dish which includes sweetened rice which is eaten with fish

    I went to Japan with some friends last year and onigiri from a convenience store was basically a daily thing, usually for lunch while we were out and about.

    Thank you for including nasi goreng. It's the national dish of Indonesia, and varies between province.

    5:27 When you say Tuyo, "Tow-yoh"... That sounded as Soy Sauce in Filipino. It should be "Tuh-yoh", There, It would be like that... Sun Dried Salted Fish.

    Rice makes up a major part of the diet of more than 3 billion people around the globe
    Grab some paella
    Or if you're not too full have some Champorado or a nice Risotto
    So, where was rice first cultivated
    Yo, I don't know
    Let me get on Google and check
    To the extreme, it's China, which is also the world’s largest producer of rice today
    Light up a rice cooker and wax a chump like a candle with some sushi rice

    Biryani's one of the best, and I bet it involves more intricate steps of preparation than any of the mentioned dishes. You guys just butchered it!
