Hi, Bangladeshi here! So Aloo Paratha is actually more of an Indian dish; it's actually most popular in Punjab province. For Bengalis, both Bangladeshi & Indian, most popular potato dishes are Aloo Bhorta and Aloor Dom. Latter is more popular in Bengal province in India. Bangladeshis love Aloo Bhorta(mashed potatoes mixed with green or dried red chili pepper, onion, mustard oil, and ghee) which is mainly eaten with plain rice. So we eat carbs with carbs! LOL
