First off, absolutely amazing work! I also have a question for you though, what are your settings for this canvas? (Mainly asking for the resolution, color profile, and DPI)
Thank you glad it helped! It copies all visible layers on to one new layer so then when you add after effects like chromatic aberration or noise it affects the entire piece instead of an individual layer. It’s a better alternative to merging all your layers at the very end.

great tutorial i love your art style this really inspired me, do you use some kind of screen protector or is that just the sound your tablet makes sound like your drawing on paper?
Hello! I recommend Pinterest and search anatomy refrence. Everyone has a different approach to breaking down the body, id study a few of them, some might click better than others. I’ll try and put something together on drawing the body in my next video.
Thanks! Yea it took me a while to learn it fully, it takes a while to get it don’t worry about it. There’s a video in the description that one was helpful for me.
I have a procreate brushpack used to have it for free but goes for 1 dollar in the description. In my previous wolverine video I show what brushes I use as I’m drawing, I’ll also do this in the next video 👍
It probably wears down your screen protector a bit faster. As the metal tip wears down you have to switch it out or it’ll start scratching the protector visibly, you’ll feel a scratchy drag.
curious what size canvas // dpi you use? how do you usually export your artwork? i have trouble with my art losing quality when i try to share outside of procreate. lovely art as ever, though. character sheets are so fun and a great way to try out new ideas.
It’s 3500x2300 px at 300 dpi. Great question, when exporting don’t export as jpeg but rather png it’s about 4 times larger in resolution to a jpeg👍 I mention it in my upcoming video aswell. Thank you! Yea something about character sheets is so fun and free
Thank you! Yes an Apple Pencil but with a third party nib. It has a smaller metal tip. It’s a matte paper texture screen protector I have Amazon links for both in the description👍
Good job on deadpool. What drawing pad and software are you using,it sounds like traditional are with the pencil scratching!! This want i want too, never tried digital art before but want to fet into it think this woupd help what im use to sir.
Thanks. I’m using 3rd gen iPad Pro 12.9 inch and software is Procreate. Yep the sounds are from a Matte screen protector meant for drawing, has a bit of a paper texture, I also use a third party nib that has a smaller point than the default. It’s the closest thing to traditional (pen on paper) and Procreate very user friendly for a drawing software. There’s a Amazon link for both the screen protector and pencil nib if you ever get yourself an iPad Pro👍
Cool vid. Do you know how do I get the mouse overlay on the pencil? Like when you aren’t putting the pencil on the screen it shows where you will draw?
Look up procreate hover feature. Depending your iPad model it differs. Mine only shows the cursor as I’m drawing no hover. newer models will support hover.
Love watching your videos ❤ I have a question tho, about your pencil nib. I have the same ones and ones from another brand. Did you ever experience skipping or dotting when the nib is slightly more tilted? I noticed you can draw perfectly fine with it in all directions but I can only get a non messed up line drawing straight down. It’s very annoying and unusable.
Thanks! No problems with these. Although when I transitioned to these I do remember not being able tilt it as much as the default one for sure. But it’s not something I think about now, I’m just used to it. So it might be that or you have some faulty ones, not sure.
I don’t have any tutorials on color theory maybe I’ll touch on it in the future. Look into all the pairings ,complimentary, analogous, triadic etc and refer to them for your colors. I do this to find my color pairings.

Why’d you soft erase the base sketch? You could’ve just selected the layer and turned down the opacity then add new layer and use full opacity on that one.
@jjeverett6907 I’ve been using this size for the past couple character sheets. I usually don’t think about it I just make the default canvas size a bit bigger and increase dpi. Doesn’t really matter beyond that unless you plan to make prints then you need a specific size canvas. High 2000s and 3000s in pixel size you should be good 👍
Yea like I mentioned I tend to make my figures too long sometimes . I don’t think it looks completely unnatural, some people have long legs shorter torso. That being said they could be a bit shorter yes.

Not saying you're a bad artist at all but for my comic drawings I'm trynna move quite far away from this kinda style. It just seems so skecthy, preppy, edgy and almost texbook, just the way the lines are swung across the paper like "Hey, look... Cartoon art!"
