- Happy Holidays from Baltimore Heritage! Join us in Union Square during its annual cookie tour to highlight two of Bmore’s most popular cookies-Berger and Otterbein’s cookies. Thanks for watching and see you next week with our last video of the year!
This is our series called "Five Minute Histories." Every week, we’ll record a short video about a different historic place in Baltimore and post it on our Facebook page and TH-cam channel.

Berger & Ottobein Cookies are a delightful delectable part of Baltimore's History.I enjoy them both.Happy Holidays to all.
Is this the first five-minute histories video to come in at or under five minutes? You must have been hungry! Happy holidays all!
This might be a first!
When I was a little boy (a long time ago) my mother would send me to the Otterbein's on Fort Avenue for baked goods. We enjoyed the buns and other treats.
Baltimore cookies are world famous. 😊 Merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you!!
I really enjoy your 5 minute series. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!
You too!
I worked at Otterbein's at LR and NP when I was a teen. One of my fav jobs! Didn't know all the history, tho. Thx!
The Burger cookies look like the cookies we would get in Germany. If I recall they are like the cookies in the Lebkuchen tins made in Nuremberg.
Cool!
Did they have fudge on them like our Berger's cookies?
Happy Holidays everyone! 🧑🎄☃️❄️🎄
Thank you--you too!
How great to see Johns, Mary, and Molly spreading holiday cheer! Wishing the same to you all!
Happy Holidays, Willy!
Johns, Mary, & Molly: Thanks for another informative video about Baltimore! I wish that I had known about the Union Square annual cookie tour when I lived in Laurel, MD, because it sounds like a fun event.
Thanks Michael!

Check out Dangerously Delicious Pies, who make a pie called the Baltimore Bomb featuring Berger Cookies.
Have you done one on Sailors Union Grace church ?
I don't think so! We'll add it to our list.
Is something wrong with the term: "Christmas Cookie"?! Woke "Holiday" Cookie smh.
We like to eat them on New Year's too.
@DaPack84 Good point!
