Honestly I laughed so hard at this, but it’s true! Literally just this morning I woke up to get ready and said damn: 8 hours of sleep and then 9 hours at work. I only have 7 hours to live my life per day. Something has to go and it’s looking like my job 🥴
*Laughs in currently 3 months in with no moisture.* My longest time was 7.5 months with no moisture. I DO NOT recommend any of this, but I'm just REALLY lazy when it comes to certain things.
Girl everytime a natural say grease, they say my name. I get so hyped up. It has been a life saver for my hair. Today I share my routine with a friend and I told her to use hair grease and she was in awe of how soft and gentle it was on her hair. Naturals...Hair Grease is everything.
I definitely use grease to seal my moisture and I remoisturize like every 4 days. It doesn’t prevent my hair from accepting new moisture because most, if not all, of the grease is gone by then. Either in my pillow or in my scarf. (Yes, I use satin scarves and pillow cases but they still soak up the hair product for me eventually. 🤷🏽♀️Probably not as fast as with a cotton scarf but it does soak it up. maybe it’s just me it does that with though. I don’t know)
@@tabbijoy6448 Yeah. Overtime the pillows and scarves will absorb the grease and moisture so you have to keep remoisturizing your hair. It all boils down to us being grease lovers 🤭🤗.
Sis you freak me OUT! We have probably the EXACT same hair length, hair type, 8 braids protective style, moisture routine , EVERYTHING O.O unbelievable! The only difference is that I take my 8 braids down and wash it every 2 months now and not monthly and I wash and moisturise my hair twice a week in the braids. Also I just redone my braids yesterday and you've put this video out today! Are we twins or WHAT!!!!! 😭😂😂😂 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@Planet Paida🌻 how do you you add moisture after using grease? Also how long do keep grease in your hair some can be drying after a few days and dry out the hair
@Planet Paida🌻 oh no I love grease but I just realize that some formulas don’t help. When you wash your hair are you using sulfate or sulfate free. I have to use a sulfate to get out the grease but I see some ppl don’t
I tried it💕. For the first time in adult life, after my wash routine, I finger combed, did braid and left my hair alone for 4 weeks. WOW, I am amazed🙌💯
Sis probably your hair is stiff because you were swimming in the water with chemicals, you should have washed your hair sis….. your hair is beautiful sis very healthy
With love from South Africa. I just discovered you and its safe to say you are the most genuine, authentic and real Natural Hair TH-camr I have come across.
We do love to see it - your gorgeous long love and "natural hair". You and Shanique Butyn's channel are one of "the" best. Thank you for sharing as it's very inspiring. I'm growing my natural hair and it's long, not like yours but the texture is amasing and didn't think it would change. I'm also heavy with the moisturiser on my hair and no longer using a comb and just my fingers, I'm falling in love with it for the first time and never going back - even if the media is still negative cos we know they negative cos now they know we can have gorgeous natural hair and don't care about other hair. Our hair is coming out and it may be different which is part of its uniqueness and beauty that our hair is versatile unique. Yes unique, love it and your videos.
You’re back! Yay! 🥰 I did this same finger detangling/moisturizing routine with Bella Curls: Whipped Coconut Creme Leave-In Conditioner and Shea Moisture: Curl Enhancing Smoothie. My hair stays moisturized for days with simplicity.
Everyone, through trial and error, has to find out what their hair likes. Your hair, you have found, doesn't need direct water to moisturize it. This is probably benefitting you because without water, you have less shrinkage...your hair can remain stretched. When hair remains stretched, there is less tangling. Less tangling equals less breakage. Your simple braided routine is really helping you to retain length. I hope my hair will be this long soon. I just sit back, watch, and take note of what those with the extra long hair are doing so that I can do the same. You are on my list of people who I study. It goes to show that keeping it SIMPLE is one of the keys to length retention. Great, simple video.
GIRRRRRRLLLLLLAAAAA after almost a month of having 2 strand twists, I decided to retwist my hair 3 days ago. Day 2, I was FREAKING OUT! The parts looked like ratchet spider webs 💀 🤣 but this second comment is ….I then decided to braid my hair instead of twists. CHIIIIIILE HOT MESS AGAIN! Now I have one side of my hair braided and one side straight. The last 3 days, I now remoisturize my daughter’s hair by not using water and ONLY USING CONDITIONER & oil. THEEEEE best advice you could have gave me! I also did the same method today doing my hair. You are a genius! I even showed my cousin over the weekend so she can style her son’s 2 year old head as well. YOU ARE SERIOUSLY AN INSPIRATION! I love youuuuuuuu 🤭❤️
"We love to see it" 🙋🏿♀️👌 I hope you can continue doing this with all the support you need. Thanks for the time and dedication to inspiring us 4c girls, you've been such a blessing to me doll 🙏 💕
Your hair gives me life I stg 😍😍 The take down is always a gag 😄 And you were right. Grease and leave in is the truth 💯 I ditched using oils and my hair is the most moisturized that it's ever been. I twist the ends of my braids too for a faster take down and no breakage. I appreciate you showing your hair being unmoisturized for a month because for the longest I thought that's how my hair gets after a while. Now I moisturize each week and my hair is like "dry who?" Anyways lol thanks for sharing 💗
I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. 😁 if it’s one thing i’ve learned from watching your videos it’s that “if it works for you, do it” i have type 4 low porosity hair and literally everything you do I cannot do on my hair. 😂 I must use water when moisturizing. I absolutely have to use a comb when detangling because my hair sheds as if im a dog. And my hair HATES grease.

Your hair looks great and is getting longer. I have high porosity hair and very active especially sweat alot in the gym so more for my own personal hygiene I wash it twice a week. Its interesting how scalps work in many different ways
Thank you for sharing. I am new to your channel and appreciate what you have shown us here. My hair is naturally long all of my life. However, due to the older part of my life and suffer from eczema in my scalp, I tend to spritz my hair with rose water and steal with coconut oil, and my hair is growing. Two months ago, I had not washed my hair and was shocked at the length and how matted my hair was; it took me the whole night right back round to the morning to detangle and wash. So, ladies, be careful with taking care of your natural hair just like we do not forget to shower or bath, please please take care of your hair.
I suffer from eczema too. What else do you do for your hair? I know I have fine hair and it seems to itch a lot that I end up making sores at times in my head.

You're so beautiful stop saying bad things over your hair more hair grow hair you have wonderful content don't speak on how you neglect your hair but it should it ever happen you get hydration in your hair with alkaline water Spritz along with a type of protein collagen preferably works best with hyper moisture to separate and divide I've since started my hair growth journey too and I pray that this works for you keep up the good work stop being so hard on yourself you're amazing
I was wondering when your next video would be. Great to see it. I think I'm moisturising wrong because I left my hair unmoisturised for 5 days and it was basically crumbling. 🤔
This style was made for her hair and people with the same density. On some other heads, mine included, these breads would turn out as you said skinny. Another option is to make less sections for example 4 instead of 8. I think it has to do with the density of the hair not even the texture.
We do have the same kinda hair 😂 I too, have thick type 4 hair. Shoot, my hair is so thick I do it in sections.I think I'm just braiding too tightly. But I'll also try bigger sections 👍🏾😙
Can I use a leave in conditioner/conditioner to moisturize my hair daily? Or does it have to specifically say “daily hair moisturizer” on the package? JW ☺️I am soooo inspired.
Yes omg I was trying to figure out what to call it, merging. I agree, I thought I was the only one. I definitely ended up changing up my my braiding and twisting pattern when I started to experience the same thing. I love your videos 😊
This is not intended as a negative comment. Hair needs to be washed more than once every three months (unless you are regularly cleaning your scalp). I'd leave the braids in and wash it. I couldn't imagine going so long without it.
QUESTION! Hey love! 2 questions 1. I have incorporated moisturizing/leave in condition regularly into my hair routine and washing/conditioning my hair as necessary - I noticed that since then when I would unravel my hair an appreciable amount of my hair would be clumped together so I would have to pull each strand out individually and sometimes my hair would break! Idk if its the products I am using (chebe oil, different types of oil) but this needs to stop! What do you think it is and what can you suggest? 2. You put your hair in the pool?! All those chemicals aren't dangerous? THANK YOU PLEASE SOC (curls) :)
I found out about tgin products because of you and I love them!!! Thank you so much cuz I was looking for hair products with natural ingredients for my natural hair when I started taking care of it but I didn’t know what to buy😭😭 and I also moisturize my hair the way you do and it works well for me hehe!!
Your hair is the same as my daughter.. what shampoo and conditioner do you use. And what are the products you were talking about and using in this video.
I'm only now checking videos to satisfy my daughter's needs. I'm amazed at not using a comb or brush. I had a slip from our routine for some months and it remained open and unmoisturised... I soaked it in sections in leave-in conditioner to comb out. It was matted (no judgement) but I got through it with maybe double the shed hair. Won't slip that much again. What did you do coming out the pool? Just rinse or proper wash? And thanks for the tip re merging ends.
Read in your bio you attend USF! I used to go there! Im an esthetician if you ever want a facial let me know! I’m in Tampa ! Or if you ever want to take some of my product junkie products off my hands lol
Do you cleanse your hair? I guess it’s also referred to as a detox but I’ve never done it cause I legit didn’t know it was a thing till like a week ago lol. But what are your thoughts on that?
Do you ever get that build up on your scalp? If I scratch my scalp I can feel it in my nails and i know my hair is dirty but at the same time that’s what grows my hair. Weird but true.
I’m following your hair journey and I love the products! My hair is always dry I never felt so much moisture, but when I wear my hair in a protective braid style it only lasts for 2-3 days so I mainly do small braids up front and mini twist in the back . I just only re-braid the front probably like every week and leave the mini twist in the back but I keep it moisturized is that doing too much braiding it every week ? I always tie it up as well to help it last a little longer
I might stop refreshing my hair with water and just mist my hair with hair tea I’ve heard about. I feel like my hair is changing and moisturizing on really wet hair is not it for me anymore
"What I need to do is quit my job", girl I relate to that so much 🥺

Can I ask why you don't use water on your hair? It's super beautiful! Congratulations on having a gorgeous face and gorgeous hair
Did your pool have chlorine in it? It will make your hair shed, if not washed out. Your hair is really nice.
Hair length goals 👌🏿
I do get build up lol, usually that’s how I determine when to wash my hair
I’m following your hair journey and I love the products! My hair is always dry I never felt so much moisture, but when I wear my hair in a protective braid style it only lasts for 2-3 days so I mainly do small braids up front and mini twist in the back . I just only re-braid the front probably like every week and leave the mini twist in the back but I keep it moisturized is that doing too much braiding it every week ? I always tie it up as well to help it last a little longer
This is everything 🤩🤩🤩
❤️❤️❤️❤️
I do the same when I braid mine. I now just do six twist on each side and put them in two buns. I leave it for a week.
‼️‼️‼️
Thanks for the vid 🥰 thanks for being crazy gorgeous too 🥰
Are you using the Santé Beuty products for this hair growth challenge as well?
In👏🏽ches👏🏽 periodt!

I might stop refreshing my hair with water and just mist my hair with hair tea I’ve heard about. I feel like my hair is changing and moisturizing on really wet hair is not it for me anymore
I use Aloe vera juice in the phamacy isle at Walmart.
@@nunyabizwax1 I’ve heard aloe vera juice is a good alternative too
@@ItsJasDarling it really is and the moisture level in your hair stays for days
I would be careful with the hair teas because they are strengthening unless they are moisturizing
