Not sure if you are a Christian. But for me I PRAY about EVERYTHING. The bible says " Seek first the Kingdom of God and HIS righteousness, and ALL the other things will be added to YOU." Find a great church home with like minded people who teach the true WORD of God, and who BELIEVE what YOU BELIEVE. You will learn to TRUST GOD in EVERYTHING when you surrender your life totally. GOD will order your footsteps and guide YOU in the right direction. But YOU have to seek HIM daily, in prayer and read His WORD so that YOU know WHAT HE expects from YOU and how HE will protect YOU and BLESS beyond WHAT YOU can ever image. I'm praying for YOU and believe YOU will find your way in life. Stay strong and stay in God's WORD! 🙏💜💯

I have my braids in since January it’s March. I had my braids done for my birthday in January I was able to wash, treat, airdry and moisturize my hair while it was braided. Not fully and the proper way because I have braids in but I normally leave my protective style in for 2/3 months total. Between locs, braids, simple natural hair flat twist styles and headband wigs that’s it. I’m a lazy natural you hardly see my natural hair in a new style every week or few days. I believe the more you keep your hand out your hair the better. Because that works for me I’m trying to learn to embrace my natural hair more and love myself my natural look but I’m proud to have kept myself on routine with dealing with my hair and taking care of myself.

I can definitely relate to being a perfectionist, procrastinating, and feeling overwhelmed so you’re not alone. Like you said, I’m so afraid of making mistakes that I avoid the task all together. It took forever for me to realize that making those mistakes is what’s going to help me improve. Thanks for sharing! Glad you posted this because I was just thinking about how you’ve been away for a while. Rooting for you sis ❤️💕

I think you are doing the right thing by staying away from social media, you gotta protect your heart at all cost and if your not ready for something you are not ready. “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life” (Proverbs 4:23)

  • @CoilyCrissy
    @CoilyCrissy ปีที่แล้ว +4

I'm here listening to you talk and just be saying, that is so me!!!
You aren't the only one dear. I find it hard to make up my mind too and I think a lot. I create problems in my head where there's none and I am often so critical toward myself. I strongly believe it might be how you grew up, like the environment and people you were around because I've sat down and thought about my reason for being the way I am and it has a lot to do with the environment I grew up in, the people and just how I was treated.
I grew up in a toxic environment, always feeling like I am not enough and constantly being belittled. I am scared to make new friends or to be around people because I often feel like I will let them down or be too boring for them.
We all struggle with something in this life but one thing I can promise you, you are not alone and it will get better with time if you address it and implement ways to improve yourself.
These days I check myself and make sure I am intentional about being gentle to myself. When I make mistakes I tell myself it's ok, I will do better next time instead of speaking down on myself like I use to get growing up.
One thing that has been helping me to heal from my past is my new environment. I have prayed to God to only put me in places with people who will be positive toward me and if I fall will encourage me up with words of love and compassion because I've been so broken in my past. God has been answering me and I'm thankful. In addition to that, I avoid spaces and people that reminds me of my past and I am slowly learning to live in harmony with myself...doing what I like as long as it please God, thinking for myself and not how others would prefer me thinking. It's a process Sis, it's hard at times because you will fall off from time to time but keep going and it will get easier.

I relate so much! I feel like I can’t accomplish anything until I have everything in place. It’s always something missing. And then I find it and then someone else is missing. Even though I have more than what I need to accomplish my goals. I even bought a desk to be more productive too. Now it’s the chair so I got a new chair. I think it’s being children of immigrant parents. They raised a to be so closed off. And fearful bc they push their mindset into us. We just need to break the chains of fear!

Life is perfectly imperfect. Allow yourself joy and new experiences. Sometimes they will go right and sometimes not so much.
Having said that maintain your standards, boundaries and expectations.
Allow yourself joy. You are fundamentally shy. You need to stop needing to be a people pleaser. Please yourself and be a great person. Nothing wrong with being stable minded.
Your journey is yours alone. Travel. Develop hobbies.❤
Procrastination isn't laziness. It is fear. Recognizing that is the first step to make change.😊

I think it’s good to keep your vision board private because bad energy can get in the way, and you don’t owe ppl an explanation for why you do certain things.

Since you just took down your braids , do plan on doing any treatments? Have you heard of Epres? It was started by one of the creators of olaplex who decided to start their own business. Apparently it’s supposed to be better than olaplex but I haven’t seen any black creators test the theory. Would love to hear your opinion

I relate to everything you said. The thought of having to tweak every little thing or even just get started on a project absolutely drains me and makes me leave things to do at midnight. I suffer from executive dysfunction (kind of like procrastination) in literally every aspect of my life, it sucks lol
