Built Cena to the greatness he was of that era, just like how Triple H helped build Batista, Orton, and numerous others. JBL and HHH were simply them dudes you hate as a kid but respect as an adult.
JBL was one of the greatest heels of the ruthless aggression era. I believe he put over younger talent that are still wrestling today. He deserved to be in the hall of fame. Awesome video.👍🙂

i must been about 8 when jbl came on the scene back in 2004 and could not stand the guy but looking back now it's safe to say he's one of the greatest heels ever
Ive always loved JBL. From his days as Bradshaw to his JBL heel run as WWE champion, to his commentary days with Cole. Loved his no nonsense badass as Bradshaw to his brilliant heel work as JBL. Dude is an under-rated legend of the business.
Many may consider JBL a piece of you know what but you gotta have respect for the man in the ring Big tough and rough Bradshaw was always enjoyable to watch and listen to
He has the best "simple" ultimate finisher in the buisness since the golden age era. His Chlosteline from Hell was the best example of final move in the classic wrestling style, of course the most intense and credible during the RA era. For me his best match in carrer still the I Quit Match at JD 2005 against John Cena for the WWE Championship. Really brutal and fantastic gimmick match for his personal brawl style in the ring.
I appreciate the video! I started watching wrestling when APA was falling out, and playing the video games with APA as playable characters, JBL just on the rising.
I didn’t appreciate JBL when he was around. Watching his promos now, he was an OUTSTANDING heel. His tirade against the ECW crowd is a favorite of mine.
I ABSOLUTELY DESPISED JBL as a kid. But know I respect the HELL out of him. He deserved his Hall Of Fame induction. Edit: Why does JBL’s face look animated in the thumbnail lmao
@@zemox2534 I already know about his backstage antics. He said he only acted like a bully because he was young and arrogant, and he wanted to keep his spot. Besides, all that was years ago. He’s not that same person anymore.

First WWE house show I ever went to was Smackdown in Perth, Australia. JBL was champ and far out I haaaaaaaaaaaaated him. Looking back now I appreciate how good he was at being the bad guy. Much respect.
Saw multiple WWE house shows in Melbourne, Australia. JBL was a total dick and we all haaaaaaaaaaaaated him. I guess now he should be appreciated for copping so much heat in the roll he played. Respect.
The APA are one of my favorite tag teams of all time. And after becoming JBL, I don't believe we have seen another heel come even close. JBL was the last great heel.
LOL 😆I love his role as JBL Wrestling GOD! A very entertaining personality as a very savvy arrogant financier Wall Street guy the Cowboy way. This is a role he can carry it for years to come. It sure is excellent!👍
I always really liked evil heel JBL 👍🏻, but at the time I didn't have any idea how much his feud with John Cena would lead to another bigtime superstar's history-making career. I miss heel JBL on commentary, too! And the sexy ladies on his consultant / assistant teams 👩🏻👱🏻♀️🔥 - Hell yeah!! I was never that much into John Cena's wrestling persona (kind of bland, sort of like a taller muscular Matt Damon), but Cena's non-pro-wrestling stuff and newer mainstream media comedic appearances has intrigued me recently... I especially want to watch the gritty DC Comics HBOMax series "Peacemaker"💪🪓⚒🔫🤪 with Cena. I've heard it's crazy good, in the darker vein of Amazon Prime's "The Boys" or HBOMax's "Watchmen" series.
The JBL title reign is THE most misunderstood run in wrestling history IMO. Smackdown at the time is LOADED with babyface stars ANY of whom could/should hold the title, but NONE of those performers represent the FUTURE of the business. Rather than simply turning these babyfaces heel to create matchups which most likely leads to several shorter reigns, they create a MONSTER chickenshit heel who consistently survives the babyface challengers ENRAGING fans and subversively INCREASING their investment in seeing this reign end. Enter John Cena. The rest is history. But the role JBL's despised championship reign PLAYED in getting Cena over and perfectly positioned as THE company hero moving forward is almost NEVER credited by fans/talking heads. The emphasis on "cool" heels has weakened fans ability to appreciate the kind of heels like JBL built to ENRAGE fans on PURPOSE.

Good video but you kinda left out how much he’s done for underprivileged youth in the U.S. and abroad. I know it’s a direct contradiction with his heel character but apparently he’s a very kind and generous man.🤷♂️
I agree. It's a good video but it's odd to leave his charity work out, considering that he's spent over a decade working to help children around the world improve their lives and get the education they deserve through sport, and even started his own charity in Bermuda to help keep kids out of gangs and to stay in school.
I don't hold much love for cowboy gimmicks. But JBL is one of my top 3 personal favorites. He's traveled the world and won championships all over. And he's still the only person to make a clothesline actually look deadly. GOD
Every time he hit the Clothesline From Hell, I felt MY soul leave my body. I'd hate to get hit by that thing. I'm surprised he didn't literally knock someone's head off. Teaming him up with Ron Simmons to form the APA was a match made in hell. Two brutes who can break you in half if they wanted.
