Awesome, great work 👌 makes me regret getting rid of my docs, they were made in England , had them for 15 years , i bought some newer Chinese made and gave my old ones away, Chinese lasted less than a year
Nice job. The result is a better quality boots like the original. But to me the trademark of the original Martens is the transparent sole with the yellow lines.
I subbed because this guy at the least has the decency to wear a real wristwatch. I get that they're fashionable and the current "flex" trend, but it's amusing how many so called "hand-made", "heritage" tubers wear iwatches.
Great Job! After watching this video, I thought, I have the same boots so I think I will send them to Skoservice. Then I realized they are in Sweden. That would be quite an expensive shipping rate since I live California. Oh Well-Great Job. 🤣
Personally I prefer the older soles (though such a resole service is scarce and usually a hassle) as I see them as a defining feature of the boot, though the work and quality seen here isn't an inch short of mesmerizing. Good show
@@reginaldbowls7180 newers ones, yeah, but personally all I think all they're missing is a shank and maybe felt or cork in any place they use memory foam. But personally I just feel it weird to buy a specific boot and then strip it of everything that made it what it was.
Why did you leave the hand stitched welt showing? I don’t know it just seems like you stitched them so far apart (the spacing from hole to hole) just to save time and then to leave them exposed instead of a stitch down method..idk..I don’t particularly like it but I appreciate the craft and understand the work that goes into it
hi if you watch the video from the beginning you will see that the distance between the seams is original, I sew into the same hole as it was before, thanks for the comment👍🏻
I think it fits but it's a taste thing, original soles are not available and these materials are much better than DM plus better construction on the shoes
It can be hard to find cobblers that are even willing to work with the heat sealed PVC soles. The only cobblers I've seen that have access to AirWair soles are based in the UK. I have a pair of solovairs and a pair of lugged soles from them and I'll be having to ship them to England to a cobbler that does em. He don't use heat sealing unfortunately, but even the manufacturers say adhesive is acceptable.
Hello! first time on your channel. It really bothers me in this case of video. I dont know if your a green horn on this. Or you forgot,,, or you have a bad day. First the welt. You never bother to dye red the edges and make your own yellow threads. It looked really bad, Second. I see that you used pressing machine on your mid sole, but for sure. Its roomy in the sides and you have taken out the yellow cushion and not replace with shoe cork insole. Third, you never bother to grove the rubber outer sole. Those stitches will not last long, its kinda mistake or a poor way of skills and the continous stitches outer sole and midsole looks bad, but again, if you grove it ?!;., sorry. Sad to say it almost looks good, but then you probably done those mistakes or you never bother coz , its just a Doc Martens. Just saying. I hope this help. Hehehe...
hi thanks for your opinion, it was quite entertaining to read your views. the edges whether to color or not it's a matter of taste. same goes for thread, just because it was yellow thread it doesn't have to be yellow thread, and the yellow damping is in the shoe so i don't understand what you mean? and you don't need to make a channel for the seams, even if the thread wears the sole is guaranteed to stay, and the next time you start writing like you know something about the job, don't, you'll just look stupid in front of everyone else. hehehe
Love love love your minimalist format. No intro. No music. No extra anything. Just right into the content as titled. Thank you!
Thank you🙏
Best Doc rebuild I have seen. Never seen a pair of doc's I wanted to wear... but the are next level.
Thank you 🫶

You **actually* made them good now. Amazing work, thank you for posting!
Thank you👏
Wow - Great Job, the Shoes are now better than new! :-)
Thank you 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Stunning! Must enquire at my local cobblers now to get a pair resoled.
❤️👍
Work ethic is 101+quality sole and the result is super beautiful. .

New sole is different
Amazing restoration
Thank you 👌👌
Excellent job!👍
just came across your channel.✌
Thank you 🫶🫶
Nice job! Shame the heel counters weren’t replaced plus I thought the storm welts were a bit exaggerated.
It looks like the superior For Life leather that DocMartens did a few years ago , worth resoling!

thank you very much, it was a shame😂😂 you are welcome when you are in Sweden
Astoundingly good work!
Thank you 👍🏻
Impressive work
Thank you👍
What happens to the pointy end of the nails?
Those come out nice! I hope to learn how to try that one day
Wow it looks better than the original!
Thank you😀
Very nice! Good work!
Thank you 👍🏻
Great vid thanks...have to ask why no groove in the sole to stitch into ?
it is not needed, not so that the seams will release, plus with today's glue it will not release even if the seams are worn in the future

The doc marten sole is crap.

What a job I think better than New Boots but that’s me 🤷♂️🤷♂️
You are right😊👍🏻
why is the welt lip on the upper really big ?
hi it's nicer☺️
What about heel counter? You should change that too.
hi, why? it is in good condition
@@Skoservice I thought I saw that they were in bad shape. Sorry:)

Ok bel lavoro complimenti
Ok
Doc's are the most poorly made expensive boots you can buy. Built like $30 boots from Walmart.
What would you recommend instead then
What a great job, however, Docs are nothing without its characteristic bouncing soles. They are not Dr martens anymore.
thanks so much. they are better than before.☺️
SUPER.
working class😅😅😅kata org org bang😆😆😆
Heels don't match the soles ! Why not just replace the D.M.units and retain the original style.

Dr. Martens are not worth the cost of resoling. It costs less to buy a new pair.
Unless you habe original vintage docs like i do. They don't make them like mine anymore. I have a metal shank in mine
