Had this laptop for about two weeks now. Got the 32gb RAM and Core Ultra 9 options. It’s a beast of a machine. Playing games at high to ultra settings at 2560x1600 and getting over 100fps in all but the most demanding games. A huge step up from my Steam Deck for sure. I’m very happy with what Alienware put together with this one. Definitely recommend it.
Nope. Not at all. It cools really well. The CPU is rated for 100-110c but haven’t had it hit anywhere close to 110. I’ve played it for over 4 hours on my wood lap pad with it plugged into the wall on balanced settings. Played AAA games no problem and didn’t see any overheating or change in performance.
@@jukegaming5365 I'm not sure if I got a bad one or something but my temps hit 100c regularly to the point to where I had to change when the CPU throttles to 90.
I think its a great redesign from Alienware. Much easier to access key internals without doing too much work. My only hope: a higher end screen (more brightness) in the next product refresh.
I bought the ultra 9 version with the 4070. I also ordered an extra WD Black 4TB SSD and 64GB of RAM. It's not here yet but I hope it is able to do better. I play Cyberpunk, Helldivers 2, and AC: Valhalla a lot (I know, they're old) I am replacing an 8-month-old Dell XPS that didn't do well with gaming but it does well for my Law School homework.
I've had it for two months. It broke down. It was only light used for work. One day just wouldn't turn on. I got 2 red and 8 blue lights and that was it. I returned it and got refund didn't opt for new one after the ordeal. But as far as looks goes it was beautiful, abit loud but really small.
I bought one new (4070GPU, Ultra 7, 32GB RAM) from BestBuy a week ago for $1300.00 and love it. Thing is I also have the ROG G14 2024 (4070GPU, 32GB RAM) which was bought for 2K. I love the look and feel of the ROG and the speakers are nothing less than wonderful but for an extra $600.00 compared to my Alienware I may just return the ROG. Its hard to return it but honestly the Alienware is great as well. I enjoy the rubbery feel of the palm rest and the bigger 240hz 16 inch display is nice for someone like me with glasses. The speakers on here are passable and this laptop has more room for upgrades.
This is the best laptop I ever owned. I will be upgrading the ram to 64gb. Battery is amazing. I had an old Asus strix and it was great but now I will keep buying Alienware! #Dell
I don't find any other options for 64gb ram at under $2500. This one fits the bill. I'm planning to order the model with Intel 9, 64gb ram, and 4070. I'm not using for gaming, but for some business apps. Is this laptop suitable for regular desktop use ? Why do other reviews say the screen is dark ? Is this a problem? Thanks for an update.
Well this laptop can do far beyond business apps, I have the almost same configuration (32gb of ram instead), it's a beast! screen brightness is not that great, I mean in this price range you expect at least 500 nits...., but I think is the only fault of this laptop... And the speakers of course... They are just bad! But if you want horse power, power efficiency, great "this laptop fit everywhere haha" this is it! Go for it!
I just returned my laptop yesterday because the service was very bad(bought at official website , I loved the laptop very much but that's how it ended 😢
@@robeytech yes, It was bad I sent them for the keyboard and touchpad problems I thought it's a software issue, they asked me sent to their repair deport so I sent it, I waited for a week and I got a more damaged laptop, bent back pannel, hinge broken but the package it came in was in perfect condition.
I immediately bought it when I saw the sale but I did some small research like MUX switch stuff. It's a good laptop and I always play @2k resolution at high graphics on every game. It should at least get you around 50-60fps if you play at max settings. I get 500 fps Valo, 1000fps Minecraft, GTA V 77-150fps max settings 2k, RPCS3 was really smooth able to play Gran Turismo 5, Uncharted. I bought it for $1399 after taxes
That's COMPLETELY not true and it gives you something you can't get with the standard CPUs. Battery Life and at higher at 1080p resolution it always doesn't matter.
very detailed review , you deserve more support and views
Thank you very much!
I’ve had my m16 R2 for about two weeks and love it. I play games like CSG, Valheim, GTA, and others and have no issues with it at all
Mine arrives tomorrow! Super excited man!
Bro plz tell which specs do u have and how much fps do u get on those games and on Fortnite (performance mode) if u play it
@@ibrahimasad8533 I went with the ultra 9 4070 32GB memory & 1TB storage. It arrives today, I’ll follow up with you on the FPS once it arrives.
Hey I’m looking at getting a gaming laptop I got $1000 to spend what do you recommend
@@Darkhorse5150 Get either the Dell G15/16 or one of the ASUS TUF series.
Best Buy had this laptop on sale for $1299.00 what a steal, picked mine up and love it
same here, i'm just kinda not convinced about the battery life i've been playing for like 2 hrs straight and it drains fast. idk if its normal.
I got it for $2,000 Canadian (Canadian money sucks), regular $2,700. I'm ok with that discount.

it is on par with 13 gen H series CPU's like 13700H while consuming less power
Can it run baldurs gate 3 good?
60 fps, but you can reach more fps with FG
Alienware command center sucks not even ok...
And speakers lol, hope they put better ones in next gen

And then go buy IETS 500 v1.
