This is one of the most powerful and amazing messages I’ve ever heard! Wow. I’m amazed by Josh and Katie’s honest vulnerability and openness to share so much of their story from the hopeful to the hard. Amazing!!
A flawless marriage or relationship doesn't exist. There's no universal recipe for success in these matters. What suits Adam may not suit Peter. Nonetheless, I discovered that every problem has a solution. Five years ago, my wife and I faced the possibility of divorce due to marital challenges, but we reconciled
Your insights resonate deeply with me, and I sincerely wish my sentiments mirror yours. Despite our present distance, I cannot envision my existence without her; my affection for her knows no bounds. I ache to reunite with her, and I'm prepared to go to great lengths to achieve that. We've delved into numerous paths, including therapy, in our quest for reconciliation
Saying goodbye to someone you cherish is consistently difficult, yet in my case, I received support from a spiritual advisor who kept my marriage intact. Her name is Suzanne Ann Walters.
I value this advice. I'll promptly look her up online. Thank you. I'm optimistic that following this path will bring about positive outcomes for me too; I long for her deeply.
I admired couples who stayed together after an infidelity because of forgiveness and restoration but it feels to me that she has joy for sharing that she was unfaithful to her husband
He acknowledges there's no excuse for cheating. However, if you want your marriage to thrive, you must both take responsibility for your actions that led to the climate of your marriage prior to an affair happening. It's called grace and accountability. I had to do the same.
I'm struggling with the feeling that she doesn't seem remorseful. It feels like she cheated, and her husband had to convince her to stay. I feel like if I were in his position the resentment would eat me alive.
The victim blaming in this video was so triggering to me, that I have been in a dark place since I watched it yesterday, and now it shows up on my feed again 🤢
@@MikeSmith-kt5mjThe Bible does call men to treat their wives as Christ does the Church, and wives the opposite…..but aren’t we incredibly unfaithful as the church?
I'd like to know what lead up to her looking for or falling into emotional support outside of her marriage. Because, I know for myself. Whenever I try having any kind of conversation with my husband of 37 yr. He always acts like I'm bothering him. So, just wondering what their communication was like before that happened.
This man has been manipulated into thinking it was his fault. What a sick sham. Now she’s just trying to own it and embrace it to sell books. Disgusting.
Help me- this was an emotional affair over a few months, right? Never was an actual physical betrayal? Not that such a thing is without consequence, but it's certainly a lesser issue than what many are forced to face. She dodged the question in the first session and it matters. I'm left to wonder how those who deal with worse circumstances and unrepentant spouses were affected by this discussion and her suggestion that grace is needed for the offending spouse.
I love this ministry but honestly this is not what people are going through. "Emotional betrayal"- what do you mean? For 5 months you had "feelings" for this other guy but never met, hugged, kissed and no sex? Is this what you're trying to say? I presume that people who are going through horrible cheating wouldn't be able to forgive and reconcile and please @focusonthefamily let's not see reconciliation as the only way that honours God! Why not have a podcast on how to start life with God and kids all over again after betrayal? This is probably very relevant for many.
To forgive, and desire reconciliation with an unfaithful spouse is to imitate Christ. And yet that takes two people and doesn't always happen in a broken world. But it should always be our default position.
He was doing the "pick me" dance, which is the worst thing you can do. It makes you look weak and desperate. Stiffen your backbone and do the 180 for your own healing. See a divorce attorney and expose to family and trusted friends. That will pop the fantasy bubble in a hurry.
I think there's a difference between someone making a mistake and the couples working through it versus a cheater who just keeps cheating and cheating.
I connected with that piece, I thought immediately of a date my husband and I took a month after discovery. He took a selfie of us, and the sincere love and happiness on our faces was a visual lifeline for me. That was a marker. After hearing this I thought of printing it as a marker for us Different perspective 😊
she is just doing this for media attention, acting all holy and blaming the husband for her cheating on him and her family. Truly an evil and selfish human being.. Shame on you, how can be on social media????? You get to stab your husband in the back every time you get a "hit" on you tube.

This truly blessed me. I listened to each piece twice. Thank you for sharing, I have been encouraged by your testimony.
Blessings

I promise you will not regret it
Thank you! I needed to hear this
I admired couples who stayed together after an infidelity because of forgiveness and restoration but it feels to me that she has joy for sharing that she was unfaithful to her husband
She had the same amount of joy the whole time
Joy of being unfaithful, and joy of being forgiven😂
What a Joy to get away with the moral crime. The blissfulness of eating all the cake you wanted...😂
I can’t get behind on the cheated spouse blaming himself for this? Absolutely nothing justifies cheating.
He acknowledges there's no excuse for cheating. However, if you want your marriage to thrive, you must both take responsibility for your actions that led to the climate of your marriage prior to an affair happening. It's called grace and accountability. I had to do the same.
No one should ever do this!!!!!!! End it. Men need to stop cheating on their wives, wives need to stop cheating on their husband no no no!!!
You don’t live in reality. Anyone, even you is capable of cheating.
Thank you for all that you do.
Shame has been removed from the church and the reason he stayed is so he could appear stellar to not lose a ministry position

Because you are normal.
Thanks for sharing your story. Very inspiring.
Thank you

Focus on the Family never holds women accountable and always blames the husband

It doesn’t matter … what led up to that, the important thing is to apply the STAY principle
You are not required to stay with a cheating or abusive spouse.
She almost looks proud.
She is. She is a narcissist.

Dodged the question yes, but this was a physical affair
Also agree with that. Didn’t get enough from this video.
Oh you know she saw that pp
Never any way back from that kind of betrayal and its biblical to divorce.
She is “gloating” that she was able to get her husband to take responsibility. Cheating is a choice….period.
As a cheated spouse I can say that the The STAY mnemonic is very triggering to hear 😓
May I ask why?
why waste your life with someone who knew of the consequences the affair is more important then the spouse
Im very much struggle with her attitude. She is not truthful. If he cheated she would destroy him.

Katieee confess your other affair!!! Stop playing this bs to sell books!
?
I ABSOLUTELY do not believe in staying after cheating has occurred!!!! NO WAY!!!! I divorced after his repetitive cheating!!!
I think there's a difference between someone making a mistake and the couples working through it versus a cheater who just keeps cheating and cheating.
Celebration of markers?? Really! Wow, so part 2 said even less than part 1. This had to be one of the most pointless testimonies I’ve ever heard.

Such a powerful story!!! they said it all, what more did you want to know?
