    Hi!
    Mellisa! You're truly a saviour. I am super confused right now, even after watching of your videos on Original vs. Fake products. The question is about the DROPPER! I bought Niacinamide 10% and it has an entirely different dropper. It's the white version of the black dropper that you showed in your video for the caffeine solution. The tip is not round its more just straight n thin at the end. Moreover, there is no gap in lines on the dropper cap. Its all lines not groups of lines. PLEASE tell me it's not a fake one!

      You have to use them correctly, which means that you have to choose the products based on your skin concerns. And some of them take 8-12 weeks to work. The bubbles are normal. Which you can see right here:

      I think they need to start producing in other areas to keep shipping costs down, as this is currently a major issue across all markets. However, I haven't seen any announcements about this, possibly because I haven’t been following it closely lately. The best thing you can do is write them an email :)

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Elix, hmm. I recently came across a study that showed that darker skin types don't well tolerate Glycolic Acid and that you should use the Mandelic Acid instead. ( it was mainly about the pigmentation, as it may cause these issues!) Which means that you should not use the AHA+BHA and the Glycolic Acid. I am not sure about the Lactic Acid. But you are using a lot of acids. I recommend reducing it. It's way too much for your skin. How do you use those products? I think that Niacinamide and Mandelic Acid would work great for you. Here is the study: nucellerx.com/articles/article.pdf
      And do the breakouts look like this: th-cam.com/video/wj2auWEAWYw/w-d-xo.html ?

      @@elixelstevenson6865 Well, yes, you can continue using them. But I find it very interesting that darker skin types well tolerate mandelic Acid. What you can do is try it for another couple of weeks and see how it goes. Just be careful and do not use too many acids at the same time. Or give your skin a break for a few days, and continue treatments after that.

      Hello 😀
      The right order of application is this one:
      Cleanser
      Toner
      Exfoliator
      Serums
      Creams
      You have:
      Amino Acids (Water-Based Serum)
      Lactic Acid 5% (Water-Based Exfoliant)
      Niacinamide (Water-Based Serum)
      With this information, you can build your routine.
      It’s recommended using no more than three serum formulations in a single routine for optimal skin penetration.
      About 2-3 drops of each serum and 1 pea-sized amount of creams should be enough for the full face and neck.
      Always apply sunscreen when you are exposed to the sun!!

    would u recomend azelaic acid or salicylic acid

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are entirely different.
      Azelaic Acid:
      "Chemically, azelaic acid is a dicarboxylic acid (but don’t be afraid: this type of acid is your friend). It works on skin as a gentle leave-on exfoliant which helps unclog pores and refine skin's surface. Azelaic acid also significantly lessens factors in skin that lead to sensitivity and bumps and delivers antioxidant benefits. "
      BHA= Salicylic Acid:
      BHA is recommended for an oily skin and for skin suffering from spots, blackheads or milia. This is because BHA can penetrate blocked pores and prevent spots and acne from forming.
      BHA has an anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial effect. These are two more reasons to use a BHA exfoliant if you have spots, acne, or a red, sensitive skin.
      BHA is recommended for people suffering from rosacea-prone skin. Not everyone suffering from rosacea-prone skin can tolerate an exfoliant, but it is worth trying a BHA exfoliant to see if your skin reacts positively to it.

      Hey! :)
      Are you talking about exfoliating acids?
      You can use any over-the-counter exfoliating acid products. Just make sure to choose the right one for your skin type and skin concerns :)
