I like the fact Neil Hamilton had a Rover 800, same car as Alan Partridge.
I met them at a do years ago - they were both bonkers, really irritating but hilarious with it. Also very sexual, especially Christine. At one point I had to nudge my buddy and warn him “these are sex people”.

@brilliantfranz Louis is a gem among tv-makers. Its a pitty that on YT only snips of his programs are to be seen...very irritating.
But all on Netflix where they earn him money or download illegally (tho everyone does) via a torrent.

@dilwich123 Actually they were acquitted. In fact, they received a settlement from the accusers publicist and the woman who accused them went to prison for her false accusation.
They were never tried; the police went balls for glory to make the accusations stick but there was no evidence.

and the woman that accused them then did the same thing again to someone else several years later.

She was jailed again under the name of Emily Checksfield. The young soldier who was her victim spent time in jail. His mother enlisted Christine Hamilton's help.
The cash-for-questions affair enquiry in 1997 found that Hamilton had taken bribes. He subsequently lost a libel case on the matter. Hamilton became widely associated with sleaze; he was forced to resign his ministerial role in 1994.

@@robertlloyd8616 That's nonsense. Tory MPs were commonly taking cash for questions. Just three months earlier The Sunday Times caught two Tory MPs doing it; both got suspensions from Parliament.

Just watched this docu again yrs later.. In car on way home after police watch Neil the unconnected to his wife toff rub her wrist up n down like a puppy whilst she becomes hysterical.. Madness.. Someone could make an fabulous satirical piece from this.
