    When someone takes you on multiple dates to casinos, it's a red flag. Don't marry someone like that. Having fun playing poker is something you do with friends for chips. Going to casinos a lot is a sign of impending disaster.

      This exactly!I grew up in a age,where kids were able to get into casinos with their parents,and had to watch my mom gamble away our rent money, so we got evicted.. I hate games, especially gambling.. it ruined my childhood totally..

      In my opinion, a date is going to the movies, a walk in a nice park, or dinner at an affordable place unless the casino has some good restaurant and we only go there I wouldn't consider the casino a date option.

      @velvety2006 Yeah, I got suckered into this when I was younger. First date, tells me he's taking me to a super nice restaurant attached to a casino. He paid with comp tickets (red flag #1) I had to pay for my own drinks (I don't mind but I wasn't expecting it) Then he suggests we walk around. Long story short, the walk around was to just about every game at the casino. He ignored me so much that I branched of did my own thing, watching a cover band then exploring. When I finally find him again, he's wasted and at a poker table. He was so blitzed I had to drive us back in his car. Then he passed out about as soon as he hit the inside of his house. Then he wondered why I didn't want to go on a second date because "he had so much fun." 🙄 Never again.

    When I worked at a truck stop, we had an infrequent customer who was inappropriate with staff. The shift lead told me (after he left one day) that he had grabbed her and she pulled herself off of him. The next time he showed up he came up to me and told me he’s “new in town and what was my phone number.” I told him to get the hell away from me and then called 911. I also acted outside my pay grade and told him to never come back. The sheriff’s deputies came and also told him to leave after I explained what happened to my co-worker before.

    Story 1: "...he decided he was going to quit his old job at the sewage company and follow his dreams of being a professional poker player." At that moment, I winced so hard that I had to pause the video, because i could see this was going to suck for OP. Her husband deciding to become a game streamer would have less impact on their finances, because unless he decided to buy every skin ever released in the game he plays, he wouldn't be losing as much money. And yeah, she was wrong on trashing his PC (even if he jumped from one addiction to the other), which makes her TA too, but nowhere as close to "I'll become a professional poker player...and I lost all our fucking money".

    Last Story: NTA. The guy was perving on them, creeped them out, asked for a number unsolicited and absolutely should be banned from the establishment for doing so. If he's willing to do that in view of others, then it's not a leap of logic to consider what unsavory things he's willing to do where people can't watch him. If the manager won't ban him, then they need to band together and refuse to serve him. And to also make sure they have someone there (preferably a male coworker) who can walk them to their cars/check that he's not stalking them in the parking lot.

    • @ynmonroe
      @ynmonroe 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      They need to go over "mom's" head. The next time he refuses to leave after service is over, call the cops. Use that as the reason to ban him. Make a stink about it. I would take his picture as well and threaten to go online. You'd have to live in a cave and never venture out to know how fast social media can work. And if "mom" makes a fuss, should the calling the cops scenario happen, go over her head. She's probably one of those women that are "used to" male customers being inappropriate and has always downplayed it, thinking it just comes along with the job. Well it's not and it shouldn't be ignored.

    I found it funny two months ago. There was a story about a man.Squishing a cupcake in his hands, and he has anger issues, and he's controlling after his father died. Bua s, female destroyed's a multi thousand dollar p.C, and she justified. and with the inheritance, she has no say on what he does with it because it's a non marital fund.

    You spoke to your mother like that with all that formality and explanation? I call bs on that.
    You don't get to lay down the law in how someone should do their job. It is her responsibility to manage the situation which requires investigation rather than just straight up believing all the extra stuff. She also needs to manage it effectively otherwise she opens herself up to lawsuits.
    Your friend shut down the date request, your mother needs to then actively watch the client and then act according to what occurs whilst being objective to the situation and ensuring the well-being of her staff.

    Last Story: Frankly, everyone sucks. OP is massively jumping the gun on labeling the customer as a stalker. Seriously, watching someone when they're in a fully public space can be creepy, but far from stalker behavior. Asking someone for their number, even a service worker with a big age gap, can be creepy, but again not stalker behavior. Unless the customer starts actually following someone around constantly outside work, finding their home, exc it's not being a stalker.
    The manager / mom is pretty bad for just saying that no further complaints should be made. The manager should have said something like "I see your points, but they're not that bad yet. Just watching and asking for a number once isn't worthy of being banned." If there is actual stalker behavior or the like, then a banning is appropriate. The manager should also take a better stance on the customers staying past closing time, no matter who the customer is.
    The customer staying late regularly is being an idiot there too and being a creep on the waitresses. However, if it's actually limited to what OP says, they should stop being a creep, but it's only being an idiot and not illegal or that problematic like OP is describing. Again, if it goes beyond what OP described then there's bigger issues.

      Dude, Watch documentaries and research behaviors like this before you go judging OP because quite frankly this is strange behavior. And if you missed the part where he came at other restaurants regularly with this kind of behavior?

    • @patrickdix772
      @patrickdix772 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Symphonia30 That's literally not in the story (as presented here, I've not looked up the original posting). OP never mentions anything about other restaurants, just the one where OP works.
      Yes, if the customer was seeming to follow OP or other employees around to other stores, restaurants, exc that would be an issue, but that's not what is described here. What was described is creepy behavior, but not to the point of being a sign of real danger.
      Remember that when you watch a documentary or whatever, just because one person with issues has a behavior doesn't mean everyone who behaves that way will have the same issues. Especially when it's literally just watching someone and asking for a phone number once.
