ESH in my opinion. The only innocent being in that situation was the dog. Why even get a dog if you cannot keep to its walk schedule on days off? The animal doesn't stop needing to go potty on days when the humans don't need to get up early.
The OP was awake and didn't walk the dog before work, but that wasn't OP's usual chore at those times, so the OP's main AH move was not cleaning up asap and just ignoring the mess. The BF was the AH for being just as awake the same time as the OP but staying in bed just ignoring the dog's needs. Unless this was a terribly trained/neglected dog, it would've let either/both know it wanted to go out. And this wasn't even the first time it happened!
That poor animal doesn't deserve these humans, but the OP and BF do deserve each-other. They are terribly irresponsible pet owners.
I wouldn't trust them with a hamster.
Both idiots. Give the dog to people who are willing to let it go to the damn bathroom outside!!!!
It was her place.
Name game story (story 2 or 3 i think), I'd get your FiL to record them making fun if kids names then post the vid on a public forum (FB, Instagram ect). Make sure to call out their names and the town and state they are in as well. Yes I'd go there
There are certain names I really hate but I don't make an issue of it, because it's not my business and it would be foolish of me to think there aren't people who hate my name too. In the end, it's just a name and unless it's something objectively bad (like Diarrhea or something), it just isn't important. And as I like to tell my mom, every name was a "weird new name" at some point in time.
For story 2: the husband did that on purpose.
How come none of the comments in the last story answer the real question.
And what would that be?
@@nancyomalley6286 everyone in the comment were talking about getting the dog out, but she asked about if she was wrong about not cleaning up after the dog had Peed
The story with the dog everybody sucks. Either one of them could get up off their lazy behind and take care of that poor pup. I work from home. I have severe ADHD. I have three dogs. This is only a problem if you don’t act like an adult,. If I’m working on a project I think I’m gonna get lost in. I set an alarm! That’s my responsibility is to make sure they have their needs met. The level of irresponsibility both of those “adults“ show is mind-boggling.
A tragadeigh is a name that isn't a normal name or a normal name with a verynodd spelling. If OP's name was "D-of" or "Duhv" it would be a tragadeigh
2: NTA. He did that intentionally to sabotage OP. If a partner can't support you by leaving you alone for a couple hours so you can take a test in peace and with little distraction or added stress, then they're not a person you need in your life.
Hi XO
It’s a bad idea to invest in cryptocurrency considering that people lose more money than they earn more money with that organization as a source of income
I'm know as chickadee.. just saying
Last story yta cus all u had to do was open the door for the dog but u didn't untill thay peed in side what is wrong with u
And yes u should cleren it up as u should have let the dog out u say usually yall do x so its not a set thing
So u cant say it was his day
ADHD, a.k.a. being careless and not accountable. Way too many people use the diagnosis as an excuse. also, if this is such a problem Perhaps you shouldn’t have pets in the first place
1) NTA and good for OP for giving her friend a heads up that this AH was a dishonest cheater so she didn't waste any more time with him.
2) Shame on OP's husband for not following through with his promise to not interrupt and interfere for just one hour of a timed test. He was being an AH and an even bigger one to try and say OP was overreacting. There was no excuse for his behavior and OP should not have apologized to him and should be asking herself what does someone like this contribute to her wellbeing.
3) Oh good grief, they are so obnoxious and rude to be doing what they are. Good for OP's husband for standing up for her against their nasty, judgmental BS. I think he has the right idea to say going NC is what will happen. OP NTA.
4) Good for dad for making a turn around and trying to be more of a dad to OP, but it's too bad he is now trying to pressure OP to have more of a relationship with his stepdaughter, and choosing to enable her nastiness rather than support OP is a deal breaker. NTA.
5) ESH, just do what needs to be done. Do not neglect the dog.
3) And can we give an NTA for FIL for giving OP and her husband a heads up on MIL and SIL'S planned antics
First🎉
When I was a kid, ADHD wasn't a thing. I mean, it existed but nobody used it as an excuse or a crutch. My generation is to blame for beginning the tradition of treating children like special little snowflakes who cannot and should not be held responsible for their behavior. Yes, ADHD is real and while it can be an explanation, I have zero patience when it's used as an excuse. You two shouldn't have animals in your care if you let them languish for hours and hours trying to hold their pee. Because the reality is that everybody reading/listening to this post knows that dog was whining and scratching for a long, long time before relieving itself on your floor. YTA and so is your sluggard boyfriend. Tell your dog about your ADHD while it's desperately trying not to anger you withy its bodily functions.
Whilst I think the name dove is ridiculous. It doesn't even rate in comparison to their crazy.
How is it ridiculous? 🙄
@richrosegold610 never heard of personal preferences. I think it's ridiculous, you think it's not clearly. Who cares? Or are you one of those people who thinks everyone should think about things exactly as you do? If not, I doubt you would feel the need to ask such an obvious question with an answer 5 year olds could answer without a thought.
Story 2: YTA. The world - and especially your husband - does not need to bow to your neuroses. How often do you treat him like this? Grow up little girl.
Only a coward and traitor wouldn't tell a friend if they saw their friends partner kissing someone else .
The husband headphones story-
Op’s husband hasn’t spoken to her or try to communicate, where was this energy when OP needed 1hr of peace?
