Or they are having installing issues within the folder. Oddly enough I have not run into this issue on Xbox Series S or Xbox one S, those are the consoles I tested on. 💲1 Firstly: you must OWN Minecraft, either you bought it or you attained it in some way. ⚡2 Secondly: This is a Theory, but it could possibly be where you install the game, ensure everything is installed on internal storage. (Expansion for Explorers & Minecraft should installed on INTERNAL HARD DRIVE). ⛔3 thirdly: If you're seeing "PERMISSION NOT ALLOWED" on the install then you may not have the Microsoft.minecraft folder in Expansion for Explorers. (If you do have the Microsoft.minecraft and still have this issue, then clearly my hypothesis is wrong, sorry). To get the Microsoft.minecraft folder I put a link up top to another video that may help. if that doesn't help then ohhh boyyy we got more figuring out to do ♻️4 fourthly: If you are not seeing the OG Minecraft it may be your region. I am in the USA but if you are not, change your Xbox region and check the non-gp MC again. A commenter (King1ak) mentioned through their investigations said factory reseting your Xbox and SAVING USER DATA will allow you to see the older Xbox store (ensure you wifi is not connected first incse of an auto update) but once you are in the store and eventually connect Internet if you get an option to update do not update the store, install OG Minecraft And then install Expansion for Explorers. (I would recommend you use the PC to help you out organizing your mods Incase they didn't save) then finally go through the normal install process in the video for the mods. 😬I'll be honest this sounds tedious, but if you are willing to try it, it is an option. I'm looking into more solutions.
@@forrestjohnson707I was worried for a bit but I found a fix, search up smitty058 for the full version, but in a nutshell you have to factory reset your Xbox (not delete everything but you will have to sign in to your Microsoft account password email etc) then after you factory reset you'll have the old version of everything Including the Microsoft store (really important to remember NOT to update your Microsoft store because then you'll have to factory reset again, for that just turn of "keep my games and apps updated" In games and apps) btw its rly annoying but if you have any mods alr in my files explorer they'll get erased and you'll have to find them and download them again. Ps: once you factory reset and get old Microsoft store you will never have to factory reset again as long as you DONT update the store

I'm not entirely sure why, my theory is either you don't actually own Minecraft and just have Minecraft though gamepass. Or: You didn't have Minecraft before gamepass Minecraft became the mainstream version of Minecraft. If your file doesn't show up in the Expansion explorer, you'll have to look for it, or try a different mod.
There is a fix to this. Install gamepass minecraft and then it'll let you install the base minecraft, while the base minecraft is installing uninstall gamepass minecraft and then follow the tutorial from there
Microsoft patched this sadly only thing to do is factory reset Xbox and set it back up to where your App Store is a unupdated version and it will let you install the old minecraft
@@BONYDINO under some of his videos Microsoft employees have commented and told the story about how Microsoft made them work overtime to patch this, so I got my old first gen Xbox out factory reset it, didn’t let the Microsoft store update and it worked but that’s the only way I’ve got the mods to work it took me over 3 hours of trouble shooting to get it to work just to get bored of the mod after 40 minutes
When I click install om the mod inside of the expanison for explorers game it says permission not allowed and gives me 2 options of OK and dismiss. I cant seem to find a way to allow it. I need help lol

If it shows “not currently available.” Then reinstall Minecraft (game pass) and then open it. Then go to the Home Screen WITHOUT CLOSING IT then search it up and it’ll let you install. That’s what I have to do. Idk what determines it but it’s odd
I was thinking maybe it would also work by having a physical copy of the game and installing it with console set to offline so it installs a non updated version off of the disk. Unfortunately I don't currently have a physical version to test this out with.

!NOTICE! I wasn't able to download the non gp-minecraft when it always said "installation stopped", so I uninstalled the game then reinstalled the update without the game downloaded, surprisingly it worked to download the game afterwards. Somehow I have minecraft with all the mods I installed now. Edit: I have all the mods, although can't play them. I looked in the xbox store again and downloaded non gp-minecraft (seems like I could play minecraft without actually having the game downloaded). After installing the game again everything worked; mods, can play etc.
as of 1-10-24, I am unable to download the older "regular" Minecraft, on my series x it says its installing for a split second but doesn't actually install it. Also tried to initialize the download on pc, but then it comes up with a 404 error after telling it to install to my console. edit: I had downloaded it like 12 hours prior to add some mods and it worked, but then wanted to transfer over a map from pc and could no longer download the version. Will try it again periodically, just in case its an error with the store. If I manage to be able to download it again, I'm going to keep a copy (prior to updating) forever on a flash drive lol. edit 2: there is a way to download that "standard" minecraft again, though it requires a factory reset of the console due to needing to access an older version of the store. Settings>System>Console info>reset console. Choose the option to keep game saves/data. once it resets and you're signed in again, make sure to turn off auto updates for games/apps under the manage section of "my games and apps". When you go to the store again, it will ask to update, click cancel. You should then be able to download the correct minecraft version. You will also likely need to uninstall and reinstall expansion for explorers if the packages folder is no longer there after doing the reset.

So to fix that you unisntal mc again and if the thing is still in queue then you can press resume download and it will download and update it in one go and it will work
For anyone looking for a good mod to play, i suggest poggys better on bedrock(great pack, with many different mods), combined with tough as bedrock (temp / thirst mod)
If you have trouble getting pages to load after ads (I did with better on bedrock using edge), you can just do the same thing on a computer/phone and then when you get to the download page- just copy the URL on your phone/pc and then manually enter it in on Xbox. Hope that’s useful to someone out there

The way to fix two minecrafts with one telling you to update and the other telling you the installation failed when you try to install non-gamepass minecraft, just remove the packs, try the installation, let it update then re-add the packs
My xbox is weird bruh Im trying to get the OG minecraft which I had for years so I deleted the gamepass version and it won't let me get it unless I have the gamepass version installed so I got both and when the OG minecraft updates for 0KB it takes me to the gamepass version so I deleted that one and it downloads it by itself 😢

I think so.. but you can only test it. Not 100% sure Edit, likely the folders may have trouble finding the right game. You may have to move them manually, just a hunch
There' s a weird thing that happened to me today. I followed every single step correctly, but for some reason, when I get to the part of "updating Minecraft", it stops out of nowhere and I recive: "Download interrupted" without me doing anything. Yeah, this happens now. Apparently its an error from the xbox side. My only advice is to wait and hope that xbox manages to fix that error in some time. 😕
I tried installing an rtx mod as I have a series x but once I deleted and reinstalled Minecraft my old modded packs were gone and the rtx resource packs weren’t there.
@@gavinreed5551try to reinstall the (Non-gamepass) Minecraft, and update it. If your progress is stuck then just try refreshing it, or hard reset your Xbox and try installing again

1:43 the trial does go away and is definitely NOT indefinite unfortunately, great video though was legitimately helpful and clear every step of the way and i worked around the trial ending by using one of my other accounts to re download the my files explorer app and then just left the account signed in and switched back to my main which worked for anyone else with the issue

the 1.3 gb is probably the one. You may just have something on your minecraft that increases it's storage. If your 1.3gb is the wrong one. Try installing GP minecraft then install the non-GP base minecraft if u can

Where did you download better on bedrock because I can't do anythings with forge and mcpedel guide me on forge to download better on bedrock

You need to install the Minecraft without the gamepass symbol. Find the plastic texture pack and press "works with" and it'll be tht Minecraft

There' s a weird thing that happened to me today. I followed every single step correctly, but for some reason, when I get to the part of "updating Minecraft", it stops out of nowhere and I recive: "Download interrupted" without me doing anything. How do I fix that? Yes, I was on the normal Minecraft, not the gamepass one

Yeah, this happens now. Apparently its an error from the xbox side. My only advice is to wait and hope that xbox manages to fix that error in some time. 😕

I tried installing an rtx mod as I have a series x but once I deleted and reinstalled Minecraft my old modded packs were gone and the rtx resource packs weren’t there.

You just update it and you should be good
@@gavinreed5551try to reinstall the (Non-gamepass) Minecraft, and update it. If your progress is stuck then just try refreshing it, or hard reset your Xbox and try installing again

1:43 the trial does go away and is definitely NOT indefinite unfortunately, great video though was legitimately helpful and clear every step of the way and i worked around the trial ending by using one of my other accounts to re download the my files explorer app and then just left the account signed in and switched back to my main which worked for anyone else with the issue

the 1.3 gb is probably the one. You may just have something on your minecraft that increases it's storage. If your 1.3gb is the wrong one. Try installing GP minecraft then install the non-GP
base minecraft if u can
