I’ve had an M60i for the past 6 months after being in an X5M Comp for the previous 3 years. I honestly like the M60i better. The X5M Comp is an absolute beast but the ride is too hard IMHO and the seats aren’t as comfortable as the upgraded seats in the M60i. The M60i definitely isn’t as fast but at 523HP, it’s plenty fast enough for me.
In the US the M adaptive suspension professional package is optional. Would you say it’s a necessity in this model or the standard adaptive is good enough?
@@borghorsa1902 suspension is just like mattress with personal taste, I got the M suspension pro which is not as squishy as air but definitely not uncomfortable, the major benefit other than great handling with less body roll that you can feel it when it is cornering which drives just like a 3 series sedan and in a sense actually more comfortable with near zero rolling when changing lane and cornering , this is great especially when you have car sick passenger, in long term pro suspension has enhanced suspension structure and material to accommodate intense driving which is more durable comparing to the air that needs to be repaired or replaced at certain age :)
Full spec X5 M60i is much more than $102k. Without adding a special color that could add an additional $5,000, you can get to $110k with all the good options. Add a special color like frozen gray, and you're looking at nearly $115k.
Can you ask BMW why we can't get the B&W stereo on the 50e? I'm able to build one with it on the German web site configurator, but apparently we can't have it here in the US. Also, why can't they have the X6 with the 50e? That's what I would prefer to get, especially since the shape is more conducive for the EV aspect of it. And, BMW needs to start putting digital rear view camera mirrors in their vehicles. Definitely in the X4, X6, and the 7 series with that screen.
@bmwblog thanks! You'd think they would want to since Porsche has several versions of the Cayenne e-hybrid coupe. I would absolutely be interested in an X6 50e, but will be looking at the Porsche instead since that exists and the bimmer doesn't. I would also think that the XM would have an even lower demand than an X6 50e, but they made that.
Just placed an order on an M60: Marina Bay blue Cognac sensafin Parking pkg Climate comfort pkg Massage seats Tow pkg M pro Pkg Carbon fiber Trim Base wheels After discounts I paid approx 5k more than a comparably spec’d 50e (larger discounts on the M60 over the 50e).
@@bmwblog I work remote 100% so I don’t drive much. The 50e, while very nice, has air suspension and I do not like it. There is a known issue on both Bimmerpost and FB groups where some owners are getting faulty coolant valves for the hybrid system that lock in the On or Off position. This causes coolant to either freely flow to the battery’s or the battery’s so not get any coolant. Obviously this is a huge problem. To compound, the part is only made in Germany and is currently back ordered so people are either without a vehicle or have a loaner for 2 months. This may be the last gen of a V8 and I figured it may hold more value in the long run (very minor consideration). Extra power/firmer suspension without going full M. Real M engine. Carbon fiber trim. Marina Bay Blue color. Independent Rear Steering. 40 HP temporary boost mode. It was a tough decision and from a practicality stand point the 50e wins, I would probably go to a gas station once every 2-3 months. Ultimately, the smiles per gallon of the M60 won out.
I think you need to get this to get Integral Active Steering in the US. No way to spec it in the 40i or 50e. Not sure how useful it is, but the increase maneuverability at low speeds sounds appealing.
Hi. Just drove my 2024 M60i on I80 interstate and I must say that the stability is a huge concern. I dropped the speed to 50 mph and exited the interstate as soon as I could. The car wobbles / drifts like you have no control over it. It’s extremely stressful and gives a feeling that I picked the wrong car. I’m open to constructive feedback and suggestions. Thank you.
Have a model in the same color. Picked up a couple weeks ago. Sound is underwhelming will admit. That being said last night coming back from a hockey game a guy rolled up to us on the highway in a 4 series (couldn't tell the model as he was debadged) and wanted to roll race. Could tell he had some money in the vehicle due to the sound (crackling farty exhaust at least). Fed him his late night dinner haha. He gave us a thumbs up and we went on our way. If you value sound above all else of this vehicle you might want to look at a different vehicle. If you value performance this vehicle will NOT disappoint. Given the option between sounding fast and being fast I will choose being fast all day every day and my neighbors don't hate me either.
Really wanted to order this , but from all the reviews I watch the exhaust note is so underwhelming compared to the m50s of past. For $100k v8, I want it to sound like a v8!!!
Sort of the general consensus I got reading and watching all the videos I could find. Seems like m50’s of last generation sounded significantly better. I am in the US. Does it sound better than the EU version?

It's a good choice for a daily driver. We just talked about this in our last podcast.
Nice to hear - may I ask what you think of the muted exhaust. Does it bother you ?
It looks like they are being tuned to an excess of 700 horsepower.
Did your car have problem with steering rack? I'm using X6M60i 2024 right now too.
I have one in Nardo gray, love it! Where can I get one of those shirts?
Just an FYI, local guy at elevation (above 6K ft) just ran a 3.5 sec 0-60 on all seasons and the 20” wheels on the street. Verified by draggy slip.
Insanely fast!

I do like the M Adaptive for added sportiness
Don't forget the Adaptive M Suspension Professional as an option. I got that instead of air suspension.
Any reason why? For sportiness?
I feel M Suspension Pro (old DHP) is a must have for M60i@@bmwblog
@@connie8821 What suspension to get with X6 60i? I want soft and manageable. What is the mileage you get? Is it atrocious ?

@@bmwblog Absolutely for sportiness. It makes a big difference in corners.
So does this have a similar ride to the bog standard 3liter? I have the 2024 x drive 40i and love the car. Thinking about this one for my next bmw.
No, feels different in a good way

It's likely the msrp went up since last time we checked it. But crazy either way
@@bmwblogMSRP has not gone up since at least July, base price is $89,300.

Will try to get an answer on B&W.As far as X6 50e, I was told a while back that it would be low demand.

beautiful M60i is worth the upgrade
Purchased one a few weeks ago, love it. however, didn't realize that a heated steering wheel is not standard -_-
I think it's part of the premium package
Everything on German cars is an option.
You have to buy the climate package to get the heated steering wheel.

It's a useful feature
thers something with blue color love it beamer
Should never take your eyes off the road when driving.... You only charge settings even the car is at the lights or before you start off
Wow I"m 2 minutes into this video and have still seen very little footage of the actual car.
OK 4 1/2 minutes... I'm out.
Why did BMW remove the physical buttons…
The previous gen was great 🎉
I guess they wanna go towards Digital Touch screens

All controls were on? Because it doesn't make sense honestly. Summer tires in the cold maybe?
@@bmwblog made sure all unnecessary controls were off and this issue persists from the time I go the car which was last summer.
