In the video about Lira Wessex you could do some kind of diagram showing all the ships designed by her and separately the ones designed by her father, so we can have a global view.
Really appreciate you making a video on Walex Blissex. His designs were fundamental to the war efforts of the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance/New Republic.
Walex saved the Republic twice once in the Clone Wars and the other during the Galactic Civil War with his starship designs and no doubt that the New Republic would have never been able to exist without him.
6:10 my best guess for what they are implying is that they were working on some sort of successor to the Z-95 and the project ended up getting shelved until they picked it up later when they made the x-wing

I wonder how difficult it is in Star Wars to design both capital ships and starfighters, or switch back and forth between designing for one and the other. After all they seem such vastly different types of craft at first glance.
5:27 Maybe it was just a very early conceptual development, it's possible they were simply trying to come up with improved versions of the headhunter and the 170 as they did with the y-wing.
I do wish Blissex and Wessex got more (Read: Any) integration into the Kuat of Kuat parts of Jeter's Boba Fett novels.
Kinda funny his A-Wing put the final nail in the coffin of his daughters design, the Executor.
6:26 Wasn't the V-19 introduced just at the beginning of the war? It's possible (although I don't know what the guide says exactly) that he designed both the V wing and the V-19 before leaving Kuat but the V-wing just didn't start production until 20-19 BBY.
I do not know why people rag on Republic Class Star Destroyer. I like it. You can see the Victory under the Mon Calamari round hull. It is functional and capable vessel, but even in universe it is considered unpopular and I have yet to see an in universe reason for it.

It's funny because the story group is more than happy to bastardize characters like Wedge Antillies and Thrawn for the new canon, yet they wont draw on the plethora of cool ship designs. And yeah, I know Wedge is in the movies as a side character, but no one would remember him if Legends hadn't built him up into the amazing leader he became.
New canon does have a few cool designs, like the Resurgent, MC-75 and Star Hawk, and I guess the U-Wing. (though I don't like that one personally, I think it's just dull) But there's no reason they couldn't have drawn in some designs like the E-Wing or Nebula class. Unlike characters, it's not nearly as bad to change the origins of a ship or weapon design. As far as I am concerned, the Nebula would be the Nebula no matter what backstory they gave its design. But new canon Wedge and Thrawn are not the same characters we had in Legends. Just the same names and similar roles.

Some Legends things are considered Canon because of Fantasy Flight Games Roleplay stuff, but in my mind I consider it not really "Canon" For me its more a copy of Legends
@@heavyarms55 they love to throw shade at Legends as well, but yet they keep taking their canon plot lines from the EU and spinning it into canon so they don’t have to pay the author’s royalties.
@@AncestorEmpire1 I try not to just blatantly shit on new canon. But it's hard to at times. Between the sequel mess, the stolen artwork in the comics, the bastardized Legends characters and plot points...
At least the Mandalorian was pretty cool!
Is there enough info for you to do a video on the evolution of uniforms? If you have to pick, the Rebels? I've always wondered where they originated, as they don't look similar to Imperial/Republic/CIS in any way that I can remember.
AFAIK, they ones in ANH came from the Alderaan security forces uniforms
They are sector defence force uniforms. Each sector had different uniforms and the main rebel force had one from I believe onderon.

Wow, not gonna lie, I didn't know about that story with his daughter and the trap for him. That's tragic. I can't imagine being in his shoes. So sad.
But I'm surprised by how much you dislike the Republic Star Destroyer. At least the model you guys use in TR, I think it's one of the coolest looking ships in SW! Not my number 1, but I'd probably put it on a top 10 list somewhere.
Well in the first source material neither the Nebula looks very nice (Crackens Threat Dossier)
@@a1403s Yeah I know, but they got redesigned. And the designs we got for them in the end, both the Nebula and Republic classes look awesome. We gotta allow improvement. If we say "well this thing used to suck so it will always suck" then I feel like everything sucks. lol

Also, the EAW render you used in the latter half of the vid has me curious if you use or plan to use EC Henry's Imperial Nebulon-B design in your mods?
IIRC he said he would not use it, since it's a fanon creation that hasn't made into any official Star Wars lore (in terms of looks).
