Professional saxophonist and full professor at the Conservatori Professional de Música de Torrent (Valencia).
Leandro has published several Jazz albums, his latest recording being #jazzsonata (2022) with pianist Jorge Sevilla. He has presented his projects in various clubs and festivals in Andalusia and Valencia: Assejazz, Clarence, Utrera Suena, Soberao Jazz Fest., Bienal de Buñol, El Musicario (Cádiz), Jaén Jazzy, Granada, Huelva, Carboneras, Málaga, Caixaforum , etc…
He is also a member of the Andalucía Big Band, where he regularly collaborates with musicians of the stature of Perico Sambeat, Ramon Cardo, Jesús Santandreu, Arturo Serra, Víctor Mendoza, Eero Koivistoinen, Ze Eduardo, Bobby Martínez, Abdu Salim or Bob Sands, among others. . And they frequently perform at festivals such as Qurtuba Jazz, Lisboa (A Arte da Big Band), Cádiz (Spanish Music), Clasijazz (Big Bands Meeting), Jazz Fest. University of Seville, Faro (Portugal), Palau de la Música in Valencia, etc.
He studied classical saxophone at different Spanish conservatories (Torrent, Valencia, Madrid), and Jazz saxophone at Berklee College of Music (Boston, USA) where he obtained the Bachelor of Music, Performance , Summa Cum Laude . He was also awarded the Mark Turner Scholarship , and studied jazz composition.
Throughout his career he has worked in different conservatories in Andalusia and Valencia, highlighting the CPM “Cristóbal de Morales” and the CSM “Manuel Castillo” in Seville; and has also collaborated with professional orchestras such as ROSS (Seville), BOS (Bilbao), ONE and OSM (Madrid), under the direction of conductors such as Juanjo Mena, Josep Pons, Pedro Halffter or John Axelrod, among others.
Leandro has been founder of the Artistic-Musical Societat “La Unió” of Quart de Poblet , the Andalucía Big Band, and the Sevillian Jazz Association ASSEJAZZ. And collaborator of the SM “La Artística” of Buñol.
