The squishy foam abrasives form around all the details and mouldings while prepping the surface for primer and paint! haha hey a lot of people are still sanding by hand, but this is a great way to help prep hard-to-reach areas! Some hand sanding is needed, but the tool paired with foam abrasives really helps speed up the process! Let us know if we can help answer any questions for you.

@@SurfPrepSanding I am joking of course. Thanks for the video. The form fitting foam is great and it’s good info for anyone who doesn’t know it.

Is there something special about the Surf Prep sander, or would this work using a generic sanding sponge with any electric sheet sander?

We make foam abrasives to fit other brand sanders. Our tools are very ergonomic and easy-to-use. Our abrasives are very long lasting. Ultimately you can decide if you want to sand by hand or with a sander to save time/energy.

What number sand paper you use ideally for the staircase

It depends if you are sanding to STRIP and STAIN. OR if you are sanding to 'PREP' for PAINT. If scuffing to paint, we recommend our MEDIUM foam abrasives, they are around a 120 grit perfect for primer adhesion.

From a guy that runs a cabinet shop and has had two bad bearings in two different machines in 4 months, I'd say do not waste your hard earned money on the surfprep.
The uneeda copy is even worse.
I'm also open to ideas on a better quality machine if anyone wants to chime in.
