They sure did. Class 332 Heathrow Express taught his Sister: Class 387 Heathrow Express everything about his route before he got withdrawn along with his Cousin: Class 360 Heathrow Connect as his Sister mourns for her Brother & Cousin
These trains had a surprisingly short life. I'm not sure I ever even saw one, despite being introduced - and withdrawn - within my short lifetime. They seem like good trains, though I never rode on one to really confirm that. I like how they look too, personally; very '90s in its way. Great video!
@@lordparma7556 Poor Class 332. I was able to become his Sister’s Passenger: Class 387 Heathrow Express and the Passenger of his Cousin: Class 360 Heathrow Connect
Such a shame there is no home for the 332s once they are replaced due to not having TWPS installed and the condition they are in. It will be sad to see them get scraped but that’s most likely what will happen to the 332s once there are replaced by class 387s.
It would be a better idea if somebody merge them with the Class 333s to form a bigger fleet of Class 333s. (Or perhaps salvage some of the spares to the Class 333s) A similar undertaking happened when WABTEC merged the Class 458/0s and 460s fleets to become Class 458/5s
The 332s don't have AWS or TPWS and so are restricted to just Pad-Airport. They would need these retrofitted and a complete internal refurb. I expect they will be stripped for any usable spares for the 333s and then scrapped
It will be a shame to see the 332s get replaced. They do their job perfectly!

Damn, seeing this older footage really gives you a sense of just how much the GWML has changed over the years.
But look how beautiful Paddington's terminus is at night
Paddington was much better without the IETs

Great video!
rip 332s 1998-2020
Too old
This train looks cute ngl
but theyre scrap because 387s takedown it
This train is ugly!
This my favourite train🎉❤
It's quite surprising to see that all of these trains were in service back when this video was made but now they've all been scrapped
Sadly today the end has started for the 332s, as 332014 was scrapped today.
332s are still in service but one has sadly been scrapped.
The rest will soon follow suit
@@thetransporthub Sadly yes.

Are all of the 332s scrapped?
Welp we do have 333 Fishbowls to keep company
These trains look like a bombadier mix of the networkers , still nice anyway

Hopefully they can be used for Northern Trains, at least for spares.
mjcats2011 I think any spare usable parts will be shipped to Northern Trains when the 332s are scraped.
The best of Fishbowl
今年デビューしたって言われても違和感のない近未来的フォルム!
ええ、彼らは20年以上前に、彼らが配達された日と同じくらい新しく見えます!
@@thetransporthub damn had no idea they were 20 years old. They look brand new
The true goldfish bowl! I’ve seen pacers accelerate faster than them

@@thetransporthub great idea, at least not all of the 332 fleet will go to waste.
A total destruction order was placed on all of them with the exception of 332001, three vehicles of which are now at Siemens in Goole.
Great video
Thanks!
can you do a best of class 350 plz
he will soon, he does it in order of TOPS class
Oh yeah I didn’t notice that
Good once again. It’ll be a shame when those trains get replaced by the 387’s, not that I don’t like the 387’s though.
Yeah will be one hell of a downgrade with the seats
Yea but maybe it's time, because the 387s are only 6 years old and the 332 trains are 20.
thetransporthub can you please do the best of GWR class 800
denise betsworth he is doing them in numerical order
@@sexynisi1 the best of is made by number order. The class 800 will be done but not now.
Ah yes the fishbowl
Why were they scrapped?
There were life expired.
My fav train dies….. 😭
These trains have terrible acceleration, they're really slow
Miles Bown its weird considering it is electric
