The Yellow 300sel 6.3 AMG is a replica of the one that was used back in 1972 at Le Mans during the test before the 24H Le Mans
Fantasy livery, yeah right. I wonder when Lamley would begin doing a bit of research before making his videos. Minichamps makes a 1:18 version of the yellow one too ;)
My Hot Wheels addiction is somewhat easy to manage... then I watch a Lamley video and that intention goes right out the window as I run to eBay and Wheel Collectors!!! Love your videos man. I love that Silvia but the Galaxie looks so clean, and with that hauler Ford it just looks good. Those stock cars are sick. You gotta keep doing those outdoor shots those are really cool and the desert locations are pretty bomb. 😎✌️
As I’ve stated before that S15 will be a must have for me. Taniguchi’s car is so iconic especially in Japan. Definitely would’ve liked to see the aero lift done up some more but it is what it is

Got the yellow Mercedes Benz and '65 Galaxie Team Transports TODAY at my local Walmart (the first time in I think over a year that my local Walmart has gotten Team Transports)
Even though there's a price increase ($15.97 per Transport, I think it was about $14.99 before, I thought I heard somebody say something about price increases for Hot Wheels, not surprising since other things have already gotten price increases)
Can Mattel make some different extra large wheels please, getting tired of always seeing those same 5 spokes on the C-800.

the yellow amg was the 1972 test drive car for the Le Mans, its not well known because it didn't get in the race

I love the fleet flyer and mercedes kinda wish the fleet flyer had a bit more pateena or maybe some rust or faded livery to and a subtle bit of depth

It would cost nothing to put the 48 number, some of the small stickers of the actual car on the side of that box truck. It didn't need to have AMG or MB logos but it also didn't need to be that empty either. I collect those box trucks and I don't want that half-assed one.

Never found the last set in any store... Though they were selling them each on Amazon at a stupid x3 amount.... they can keep them at that price.... not worth paying $30 for a $12 set.
yeah not worth that amount. stupidest thing i've seen is nigas want $45 for the boulevard 4RUNNER LMFAO Best advice I can give is find a local hobby dealer that doesnt scalp that hard.

Today I got my Ford and the Silvia. The Ford looks and feels very noce, the chrome wheels are lit. The Silvia Transporter looks as ugly as expected but even the Silvia itself is not so nice as I thought.
I could stare at the Silvia all day, so damn hot, takes me back to Gran Turismo 2

That yellow transporter truck for the Mercedes is kinda bland. Couldn't Hot Wheels at least slap a Mercedes logo on the side or something? Or maybe the blank side is meant to provide an opportunity for people who like to customize Hot Wheels. But the sets are pretty nice!
*EDIT:* I watched your video and it turns out HW can't put the Mercedes logo on the side because Mercedes doesn't want their logo on an unlicensed truck.
First of all, such a great review and so cool to see older castings for comparison. I like all three very much but the Galaxie and this very nice truck are very nice. I already have the 64 one, like it very much. The Silvia is stunning but the truck is ugly, looks very cheap and more like a toy. The Mercedes is also nice, would match my red pig but the blank truck is embarassing. They should rather sell the cars alone or only with licensed trucks like the Ford.

I like the Ford set a lot. The crappy wheels on the Merc set and on the Silvia hauler will keep me from getting those. Premium cars need premium looking wheels.

These Team Transports are touch and go for me. This mix is a pass. The Galaxy is cool, but we just had one last year. I see this set being peg warmers.

I just really dislike the way the ford truck transports stuff with the teeter totter. While the other two are certainly more boring to look at I think its cool that the cars can actually "drive" up them.

So I think Wheel collectors are asking too much for Team Transport that are only $12.97. I'm not paying $89.99 for Hot Wheels Team Transport Snake & Mongoose 2 Car Set and it is too much for cars that are only worth $1.00.00 for a car. The prices are all over the board and they want $10.99 for the Volkswagen Baja Bug & Horizon Hauler * 2021 Hot Wheels Team Transport Case which is way cheaper than what they sell at Walmart and Target. Now you are being realistic on your price. You are not making the Hobby fun anymore by charging these crazy prices. I was at a Swap Meet were a
guy was selling his collection and I thought he was just selling the cars that weren't maybe his to make money but they were his collection and he said I am selling them because you can't touch them anymore because they ask crazy prices at Swap Meets. So I asked him how much for your Team Transport Sets and he said the ones on the left are $25.00 and the ones on the right are $35.00 and when I left to look some more I saw the Hot Wheels '74 Chevy Vega Pro Stock Horizon Hauler, Transport lose in meant condition and the woman wanted $20.00 for it. I can't pay that it is only
worth what someone is willing to pay for something... There was another guy who was asking $5.00-$7.00 for a dollar car. I can't pay that. A guy I buy from at a local Car Show was at Walmart and ask to see the A Case and there was a B Case and so I thought he would look through them all and he just wanted to look at the A Case and the assistant manager said in a rude tone we can't put them out right now. He replied who are you F***ING saving them for huh, who are you saving them for that is what they are doing is saving them for other people they know which is not right than a few
minutes later they were taking them where the Gardening department is. Whenever he had an issue he would call the Corporate office when they were rude and treating him poorly and not putting out the Hot Wheels and other Diecast cars. He is a Veteran and they like their Veterans so when I heard what they did I called the Corporate office then they put me through to the manager at my location and she just transferred to that store and didn't know what is going on so then I qued her in about the employees taking the Hot Wheels Super Treasure Hunts and the Team Transport Sets and the
M2 Machines and other Diecast and she said I will take care of this. This is happening at every location I told her and I called the Corporate office again and talk to two people about this then I was put through to my manager and told her how he was being treated. There is a guy in Fresno Ca. at a Walmart there my friend told me the manager lets him know when the Hot Wheels comes in and he takes it all and sells it to places like Italy Spain Cuba etc that can't get Hot Wheels and sells them for $3000.00 for a $100.00 car. Some managers are giving the cars to the employees and saving
them for them and at some Target locations and we don't get any because of it. The Hot Line of Diecast channel has a video called (This is going to kill the hobby. R.I.P. #supertreasurehunt) He talks about what is going on and mentioned deals being made with the Walmart truckers but this guy I buy from at a local Car Show said No, no no they are not allowed anywhere near the trucks. At least at my location. You are killing the Hobby with Walmart employees taking the Hot Wheels and also Scalpers taking the Hot Wheels and other Diecast cars trying to make a quick buck and some are part Collectors and part Scalpers and also your Crazy prices. It is only worth what someone is willing to pay for something.

Just do without . What do you want people to tell you??? This is true of any collectable market now. Perhaps get into a craft hobby or exercise hobby.
@das 1988, I still collect and I will continue to buy something at the right price as long as they are not asking crazy money for something... You can't enjoy any Hobby if they are going to ask for these crazy prices. At Frank & Sons Collectibles if you want to sell something there they don't want to give you what you want for it even if it is what they will sell it for but will turn around and sell it for more money than it is worth. It is this way because of Scalpers and the Employees taking them saving them for other people. The
Hot Wheels and other Diecasts should be put on the pegs and the shelves. They are not following the store rules/policies and should be fired for saving Hot Wheels and other Diecast cars for people. They are making it so you can't afford the Hobby. There is an A$$ for every seat. Hot Wheels Collector Michael Zarnock did a video asking why this guy was asking $15.00 for a Hot Wheels car he replied because it is old and Mike said JUST because it is old does not mean it is worth $15.00 when he saw the same car below for
a $1.00 on eBay. Why pay more if you can buy it cheaper? People are trying to see if they can get more for it not for what it is worth. I have another Hobby if you want to call it a Hobby... I have a HUGE music collection and I'm a harmonica player and that is the world's most expensive instrument because you have to buy so many of them for every key. Chromatic harmonicas will vary in price due to the size of the harmonica around $100.00-$400.00 or more and harmonicas go from $40.00 to $200.00 for one harmonica
depending on the brand of harmonica. But Hot Wheels Team Transport and other high-end cars are different. I see them all the time at Swap Meets and remember seeing the same Team Transport Sets and other high-end cars still sitting on the table because no one is willing to pay $20.00 to $35.00 for the Team Transport Sets. The guy I buy from at a local Car Show has reasonable prices and said the cars will JUST sit there because no one will pay that for them is why he said that is why no one is able to sell them. He said
they won't get that for it. If you ask Michael Zarnock he can tell you what someone will pay for it and what it is worth not what you and others think it is worth... People are not being realistic like women aren't that have Delusional Levels of Attractiveness and Self Worth. They live in a fantasy land living in a dream world and not in reality with what they can get. The same with collectors. If you ask Micheal Zarnock he knows what the cars are worth... He gets asked all the time what something is worth.
Those just are my thoughts.
@@harmonica212 Well you cant have everything but in reality there is more than enough variety out there to keep collectors happy. The issue is that so many collectors get caught up on the hype and speculation about future value of these things. If people say they dont think about value andcollect just for fun, they are essentially lying. No one wants to get stuck with 50k Hot wheels into old age that are worth what they paid or less...😂....
I prefer to stay focused on what I buy. I dont need to complete sets. I buy what I like from the set. I dont need to buy every release of a particular casting or buy the same release with a different card. I dont need that shit in my life or my house. I buy what I will display and yeah I may have two of something I really like. One to open and one to keep packaged. I dont have deep pockets and I dont have the space and even if i did...I STILL would not buy everything in sight. I already have enough stuff to deal with when I reach my final years. I have a big comic collection from when I was a kid. And yes many have finally increased in value due to the movies and I will be selling them eventually. But it's a big undertaking. Like comics I will eventually just cease collecting diecast altogether. I started collecting diecast due to my love of muscle cars and trucks and a host of other automobiles. Not for future value but I most certainly do not want them to be worthless but in the same regard I dont chase stuff because everyone else is BASED on future value.
It's silly and defeats the entire purpose of collecting.
So set yourself personal guidelines on what you purchase. Dont be part of the problem and pay 2 times or more for the price of something that just came out. Enjoy it. Hope that you will be able to get rid of it all one day and dont worry about what you miss out on. .
@das 1988, So I am into only certain Diecast cars like Hot Wheels muscle cars like Funny cars Pro Stock Hot Rods Jet Boats Jeeps Trucks and M2 Machines VW Buses Trucks and some Honda cars and some Nissan Mazda RX7 cars and some Exotic cars Hot Wheels Chopper Bikes. I don't try and buy everything or get complete sets because I don't like everything I see because some cars have cheesy paint jobs but what I am unable to get that I like those other people like is due to popularity but that is not why we are
having trouble getting them anymore. It is because the store Employees are saving the cars for other people is why you don't see them on the pegs and on the shelves. Let's say there is something you want at Walmart and you see the cars are on the pallets and not put out like they are supposed to and so you go ask them to let you look at the Hot Wheels etc and they say in a rude tone Well, we can't put them out right now that is when you say who are you F***ING SAVING them for huh... Other people would like to get Hot

That is when you say let me speak to the manager and you call the Corporate office and escalate the call... So let's say I only Collect the Team Transport Sets but I only Collect certain ones well you can't get them at Walmart or Target anymore because the stores are saving them for other people. But at my location, I told the manager what is going on and so I heard they are putting
them out at random with the Team Transport Sets and the M2 Machines and Auto World is what may be happening. I know you said No one wants to get stuck with 50k Hot wheels into old age but my cars are not for sale unless I get some crazy offer that is another story. I have Beer Taps I Collect that are not for sale. I know you said there is more than enough variety out there to keep collectors happy. but there is not because when I go to Walmart or Target the shelves are whipped out but it's really due to the Employees

It was never about the money for me because of the value of the car it was because I liked that Casting and the Car or Truck. I buy these cars to Collect and race on the Hot Wheels track. I lack space in my room and I don't have a big room to store them as other Collectors do. As one guy
said in a Hot Wheels video at some point when he brought them home his mom was getting mad every time he brought one home and said I'm sure you have them all by now and he replied No, mom they keep making them. so he would sneak them in. It would be nice to have money like Elon Musk and buy a big building the size of an Amazon warehouse to store my Collection. There is no variety if there are no other cars to choose from due to store Employees and them not being on the shelves. So I can't say to myself
well, choose another car on the pegs or shelves if there is nothing there to buy because of what is going on. Even if you got there first and beat the Scalpers to Walmart or Target you still can't get anything because of the store Employees saving them. They don't want to put them out or they will lie to you and say We can't put them out right now until tomorrow or we didn't get them in yet.
The Mercedes is a nice car, but the deco on the other two is ugly.
The yellow truck is terrible and is a waste of money. Hot wheels could have done a better job than this. I would not buy it
