Hands down best river fishing channel on TH-cam. Thanks for sharing, appreciate the detail on the presentation of the jig. New fishing family here so we need all the help we can get and the way you explain things just make it make sense!
I’m glad you find the videos helpful! Good luck out there!

Your spot on with the mono I like it for a slower fall
It just seems to work better for me.
this is some EXCELLENT walleye/sauger -- pool 7, 8 & 9, lock & dam juice
Lock and dam juice! I like that!

Thank you! I haven’t taken random people fishing but do enjoy fishing with family and friends.
Hey Lance, Great job explaining pitching jigs. What brand monofilament line are you running? Thanks 👍
Stren 8lb hi vis mono
That spot was money. Do you think color is making a big difference. Awesome video Thanks for posting
Hard to say whether or not color was a big factor. I didn’t do much experimenting, kinda stuck with the whites and brighter colors.
We’re spooled up with braid and you mentioned you use mono. What benefits is there to mono over braid? Will what your doing work as well with braid or do we need to respool?
You are perfectly fine with braid. I prefer mono because it seems to control the fall of the jig better and it lays out flatter on long casts. Most of all it’s what I’ve always used and I tend to stick with what gives me success.
Mono floats. That being said, *Does it slow the fall in a flowing water situation where you may have to be using a 3/8, up to a 1oz jig to get it down and keep it where it has to be, in front of their little fishy faces.
I like Braid nwith an
F&G knot to a 3to5' Fluorocarbon over Mono
in a moving water situation not because of line visibility at all but for detecting hits with a bow in the line and a rock solid hook set with fast tipped rod and No line stretch.
With Mono just too much line stretch and very low on hit detection, Mono's not my setup. Haven't used Mono in years, except if I'm going to top water fish for Northern Bass, LG or SM
then I'll have TXL on one spinning and one casting reel.
I’m headed to that area Saturday morning. Pool 4 and 3 doing good?
I have not fished those pools lately but any given day can be good, I’d say give it a shot!
Lance, what water depth, or depth range, are you fishing in this video?
5-12 fow
Are you anchored? Dumb question probably. Nice video!
Yes, with spot lock on the the trolling motor.
14 or 16 foot boat?
