I own a flair 58+. Trust me. All the mechanical parts, working in symbiosis, once you know where you're going, this machine is a work of art. I love it

I can only imagine the joy and satisfaction of pulling the perfect shot with this remarkable machine. Although I haven't had the pleasure of experiencing it firsthand, I am eagerly looking forward to the day when I can see it on my table. After that comment, I ventured into getting a few lever machines - a La Pavoni Professional and a restored Zacconi spring lever. As a passionate espresso machine technician with years of experience, I've had the privilege of working with lever machines from the '60s, including the Faema Faemina. Espresso is a love, but working on these incredible machines and understanding their inner workings brings me immense joy.

i have the 58 and it never disapointed me ;) the mirror can be "replaced" with any makeup mirror and its not a big diference.. :)

Amazing product though I’m so happy with the 58+!!!! Now I don’t have to heat up my espresso machine for 20+ minutes just for a single shot of espresso. Also loving the bellman for steaming milk. Fantastic combo.

Perfect product line.
You get the initial device and discover it makes the coffee cold, so you get the heater, but then you realize the pressure affects the flavor so you get the gauge and then you realize you want to to the coffee drip so you get the mirror.
And of course your regular grinder is just not up to this whole process, so you need a new one of those, and a new wire tool and tamper.
This is us like: what product can we make that will start affordable and then make people want to just keep upgrading?
Brilliant.
And not really that expensive.
All for 2 oz of coffee.
In the end, is it worth it?

On the serious note. Over a year ago someone from Flair replied to one of my comments and that was so meaningful to me. I was fresh out the hospital and still have yet to be able to work but the person who replied was so nice.

applying 7-10 bar pressure to wall mounted lever machine is not safe
@@SuperMatchaLatte I mean, lag screws into the wall studs and a mounting plate would work. You could buy a simple powdercoated plate to match the 58+, find the studs, and drill lag screws into them, bolting the plate to the wall. From there find a way to mount the 58+ to the mounting plate, and I think you’d be in business 🤷🏻♂️ I’m a contractor, and anything can be done if you really want to!

not always. Different pressure profiles can create different tastes!

Anyone staying at a high altitude like me. My boiling temp is 90c/194f. Does it affect your brew?
It will, yes, but there are things you can do to compensate. For starters, start with well developed medium roast level which should extract just fine at that temp, and use a lower dose og ~ 16-18g.

@@FlairEspresso So is it a rule of thumb to lower the dose the lower my temperature gets? So for example I go to the beach and bring my flair 58. I would increase my dose cause the boiling temp would now be 100c?

How’s this different from an aero press?
Aeropress doesn't build the same kind of pressure needed for espresso. It makes good coffee, but not espresso.
Aero press is an immersion brewer, it doesn’t pass water through a puck like espresso
Is this better than a machine brew?
With a manual lever machine like the flair, you have full control over how good/bad it is. If you've dialled in a good coffee, got the prep right and applied the correct pressure the espresso is going to better than any auto machine, and at least as good as some very expensive semi-autos.

@@Lykapodium Exactly. Flow profiling, pre Infusion etc. It's all doable. For the money you can still get a very capable conventional machine but the flair would likely outperform it in cup quality.

Looks like the cable is entirely detachable from the brew chamber. The first one has a little bit of wire sticking out of it. Then they put a mirror onto the side and changed the color of the wood accents.

Why does this brand keep popping up on my youtube i hate it so much! A manual espresso machine with auto electric heater?? Can there be more perfect espresso machine?? This resolves the only issue i had with manual machines! Stop showing up or else i might blow up my wallet and buy everything on this video and also my head cause my wife will do that to me

Красивая машина. Но у меня круче. Давление развивается не рычагом, а инертным газом - аргоном, и кофе в этот момент в аргоновой среде. Всем ценителям необходимо испробовать такой кофе, это нечто. Без доступа кислорода он получается необычайно насыщен.
