Thanks to you Chris, I am now the proud owner of a turbo duo, and boy, I really wish I bought this system instead of the genesis back in the day. The games are just much more appealing to me. I mean cmon, bonk is the man.
Nothing like a new episode of Turbo views. I was hoping you'll upload a video soon. Thanks a lot! I love the Turbo Duo! This system has give me some much enjoyment.
Thanks for pumping out the reviews here lately. I was getting Turbo Views withdrawal. It'll be both a happy and sad day once the series has reviewed all the games out there for the TG-16, but at least the DVDs will be there to revisit.
I remember having this as a kid. The "Bravo!" sound clip is permanently burned into my brain. I think I can't say the word bravo without saying like that sound clip.
@condeszadek Yeah....I nudged it a 1/2 star a bit...'cause, I kind of like it (and a lot of people are pretty mean to it). Ha ha. But, yeah. I agree! Thanks for watching!
Dr Bomb's hair style is a mushroom cloud... perhaps? Yeah weird game alright. I liked it when I was a kid even though I couldn't even get half way through it. I never knew about the continue secret or the boss select though! BRAVO BRAVO. Ulabob is coming!
"What is this i dont even....." has never been a more fitting explination in the history of intornetz ever. But thanks for taking one for the team spida1a and reviewing this ummmmm "interesting" game.
Fantastic review again Chris - great humour - loved it! Gotta say this game remains undesirable owing to the clumsy control system and the fairly garish graphics but for 7 minutes there were just jammin' fine!!!
Ironman, eat your heart out. Bravoman has got you beat. Great review, spida! I really like the transitions with Bravoman sliding across the screen. lol
Man, I was excited when I saw you did a review of this one. Lots of fun to watch! I love the weirdness of this game. (What, no commentary on Dr. Bomb's constant need to stab the screen and re-introduce himself? He was the "Hi I'm Daisy!" of his generation!) However, I really didn't like this gameplay itself - too frustrating due to the size of the character, the many blind jumps, and the controls felt wonky even with experience.
GO! GO! BRAVO! i dont wanna be a heerroo i just wanna do something right, Just stretch it out and bring the fight, Life was a game, my score was zero, theres power in me, its breaking free now i think its destiny, woah
So a random salaryman is transformed into a superhero with the power to stretch his limbs, become an armed submarine, and apparently walk on clouds. Who is tasked with fighting a mad scientist and his army of robots, ninjas, demons, and Atlanteans(?) Huh, you'd think a game this bizarre would have a stronger following... Then again, he did eventually get a reboot. Complete with a web-toon, comic, and mobile game. XD
I had this game as a kid. Anybody know what Bravoman says at the beginning of a stage? He sounds like a Caveman with marbles in his mouth. Thanks for telling us about the secret stage too. Never knew about that.
@Ragtime4 Because I reviewed that about three years ago...and really had not "nailed-down" what my rating scale was quite yet. In hindsight, J. J. and Jeff should have definitely received a 4. But, in all fairness, I did say I was "rounding up" the Bravoman rating so, in essence it isn't the same 3 and 1/2 as JJ.
Chris, can you explain how Bravoman managed to earn the same score as JJ and Jeff? (3.5 chips out of 5) From your reviews it sounded like you enjoyed JJ and Jeff much more than Bravo...??
game is 100% vectorman's brother for the turbo grafx. i wonder if you can do a review for the best looking game on the system like batman return of the joker was on the NES
@Kaibaman41 My guess? It was cheap to license. (: It all comes down to money in the end, and if the Japanese company was willing to license the game out for peanuts, then why WOULDN'T an American game company want to take them up on it? So the lesson here is, if you have a mediocre game, don't ask a lot of money for it and it just might go far! Seems to work for a lot of iPhone game developers... ZING!! ;)
Hey! Did anybody else get the Metroid vibe from the soundtrack? Nevertheless, this game does nothing for me. I wouldn't be interested even if I find cheaper that cheap. Still, thank for your efforts man.
This was um an Interesting game but in all seriousness,why are games like this brought over to America but with games that we want just stay Japanese Exclusives,,,-sigh-

@heavysaur Sure is. Bravo...BRAVO.... :) Thanks for watching.
I remember having this as a kid. The "Bravo!" sound clip is permanently burned into my brain. I think I can't say the word bravo without saying like that sound clip.
great review!! its always a pleasure to watch your videos dude! really! i just love that anyone can see that you really enjoy this!!
NAMCO just announced a Bravoman reboot to celebrate the game's 25th aniversary. Opinons?
Awesome. I was hoping you'd put the "My hair is modern also" screen into the review :P
I've never heard of this game until I discovered the cartoon on TH-cam. Rob Paulsen is great in that cartoon.
The cartoon makes me want to play this. >.
@condeszadek Yeah....I nudged it a 1/2 star a bit...'cause, I kind of like it (and a lot of people are pretty mean to it). Ha ha. But, yeah. I agree! Thanks for watching!

@border205 We'll get to it eventually. :)
thanks for watching.
I must play this game, just to read more of Dr. Bomb comments, and see all bosses. :) Thank you for another great review, Chris.
Great show a always Chris! I couldn't stand Bravoman in my younger days lol!
"What is this i dont even....." has never been a more fitting explination in the history of intornetz ever. But thanks for taking one for the team spida1a and reviewing this ummmmm "interesting" game.
I quite liked the game. You TurboGrafx stuff is really interesting.
sweet! ive been following you on facebook and have been waiting for this one for a while
Hm, and interesting looking one, but I can definitely see where it will probably get repetitive along the way, especially if there are 22 stages!
Fantastic review again Chris - great humour - loved it! Gotta say this game remains undesirable owing to the clumsy control system and the fairly garish graphics but for 7 minutes there were just jammin' fine!!!
@Kaibaman41 Thanks for watching!
Bravoman is my favorite game!
Believe it or not I got this thing for Christmas in 1990.
@fruitbane Thanks for watching. :)
Ironman, eat your heart out. Bravoman has got you beat.
Great review, spida! I really like the transitions with Bravoman sliding across the screen. lol

World class transformer noises @ 3:39!
Yep, looks bizarre alright. Good review!
This game isn't bad if you're sence of humor is like a mixture of slapstick and sarcasm. I used to have this one as well.
@RiouInsuiko But....I wanted to be first! Ha ha.

It's Turbo Time once again kids:)

Imagine if turbogfx had Nintendo or Sega making games..? The system could have been amazing..
@katsujinken10 Ha ha. Well......that's awesome. But, check other vids...plenty of people hate me. It's cool! LOL.
Thanks my friend!!
What does Bravoman yell out at the start of a level? Sounds like OOGA-BOOM-SHAKA! as if BOOMSHAKALAKA wasn't good enough for him.
@izaurralde Ha ha. It's a silly game. :)
Thanks!
wow did not know BRAVOMAN was on turbo 16.....

That's right, this game's a web show now, isn't it?

The funny part is the miss translation when alpha say that they are from planet "alfa" instead of alpha! XD
I used to love beating up Lottery man even though he won't come back. WHO ARE THOSE CRIMINALS!
Chris, can you explain how Bravoman managed to earn the same score as JJ and Jeff? (3.5 chips out of 5)

Alpha man? You mean the guy that always get laid ?
22 Stages !!! Wow, that's awesome in a way.
liked without watching the vid :d
7:01 beautiful.
So its like Brocken from World Heroes got his own game?
@RiouInsuiko Fourth....
@MattTG16 Third....
jajaja yes :D
What in gods name is he doing with that staff when he asks if you can 'beat' this? D:
Hey! Did anybody else get the Metroid vibe from the soundtrack?

This was an arcade port, i had this, not very good.
BoBo-Man

This was um an Interesting game but in all seriousness,why are games like this brought over to America but with games that we want just stay Japanese Exclusives,,,-sigh-
