I don't think that it looks ugly, I just think it doesn't look Italian, but rather Japanese. It's still a good-looking bike, but it's not a good-looking Panigale.
I find the current model to be absolutely beautiful but this new 2025 model is beyond hideous. I think the swingarm looks okay, still prefer the single-sided, but the front-end looks too small and squished for the rest of the bike and the color matched wings actually look really cheap. The side fairings also look incomplete and closer to aftermarket race fairings that were just slapped on. As I saw others say it really does look like a cheap no name Chinese sportbike.
I don't think I could honestly call it ugly, but it's definitely not as pretty as the outgoing model. Mostly the colour matched wings and the swingarm. Not sure if I'll get used to it. I thought I'd get used to the wings, but they still look daft to me.

It’s the same when You listen to a beautyful but complex song for the first time, untill you’ll get used to it you won’t like. But give time to time and you will. It looks abdolutely italian.
The wind tunnel doesn't care whether you think its pretty or not but yes its pretty, i knew it would be a matter of time before Ducati started making its Panigale look more like it's GP bike which is definitely function over form.

No true , when the previous Panigale came out 99% of people loved it!! This one looks like a copy of a Chinese super sport bike , previous model definitely hayyyyyy better
Literally a technical masterpiece by Ducati, this brand is in the form of its life right now. They just gave us the most capable superbike ever to be produced in Borgo Panigale. One with HEAPS of Ducati Corse influence, in a time where brands are walking away from making liter bikes because of regulations. We should be thankful for this amazing gift
Regardless of what others think of it - I ordered it anyway (delivery March 2025). Bought first Duke in 2001 - a 996, and have owned top Duke ever since: 999S, 1098S, 1199S, V4S and now this (ordered with Akra race cans and not full system - can't justify extra €4k again for full system for just an extra 4bhp!). Roll on Spring 25!
The streetfighter is the only bike they made look better than the previous model. I wonder if they’ll butcher that bike as well. Can’t be as bad as Yamaha or KTM’s design team.
@@Samuel-qe9lj It’s not too bad. The KTM Duke 990 is horrible with that new head light. New MT09 is slightly better than the previous but still could be better.
I love that since they took away the single sided swing arm, they compensated with adding an underslung brake caliper, making it much easier to change the rear wheel.
The ugliness of the Panigale is a side issue, these bikes are track bikes or bikes to be ride in italian style, 150 mph all roads, its an insane machine for insane riders.
the swing arm should be an option cuz it may be better on the track but for the road. it’s un needed. you don’t need every ounce of performance on the street lol.
The 899 / 1199 was the best looking Ducati ever made. They have gone backwards slightly each year in looks since then. Hopefully they get better for the next one as I'd like an upgrade soon :)
It took a few days to like this design but just ordered the base model! I'm an engineer.. the double sided swing arm and the dash are what sold it for me.. 😊
The first gen v4s was the best looking Ducati. The additional gill on the side and the wings completely ruined the bike's aesthetics. The belly pan gills looked good though and would be nice on the first gen v4s. The new one has the same problem, the wings.
It's not ugly per se. Everyone expected something better and more aggressive looking than the existing Panigale. But it turned out looking more like a CFMOTO instead. It just looks softer, less aggressive. The more exposed front wheel makes the front look skinny. In a year, we'll probably get used to it. But for now it's a CFMOTO 1103R-SR.....
It's definitely better looking. I only prefer that the winglets be removable and not fully integrated on the fairing that if you damage it, it's easily replaceable. I prefer naked carbon color winglets too. 😊
Agree with you on all points, except that i actually prefer the double sided swingarm for mechanical/engineering reasons. Makes no sense to be supported on one side only.
The swing arm changes are probably due to flex and strength improvements not any ascetic reasons. Ducati has been fighting this issue when racing WSB/BSB and are looking to get back to the top like they are in MotoGP if I had to guess. The previous generation bike is a better looking bike imo, but I'm biased and a 22 V4S. It's also about bragging rights with the whole "Race on Sunday, sell on Monday" approach.
It became more about functional design performance over aesthetic design performance. I like the previous version if we are talking about beauty, but motoGP bikes are not necessarily beautiful, but they get the job done on track…I think Ducati went towards this and will get the love or hate for it. But to hard core riders this may be the ultimate.
I love the changes and the updates and it's much needed too ..now with small eyes and a moustache it's looking like more Italian model...so that's a really good work done by the team Ducati ❤
I would like to see an option for black or carbon fiber wings and some slots in the side fairings. I'm sad about the single sided swing arm but I can maybe get over it
Definitely, I wouldn’t say ugly though, my opinion I would’ve prefer it with a single swing harm with under the seat exhaust, that’s the DNA of Ducati character.
