- This is how you get from Toronto Pearson Airport to the downtown core in less than an hour with TTC. One bus route (900 Airport Express) and two subway lines are involved.
as an alternative you could just take the 52/952 and get off at lawrence west station then take line 1
That would take around 90 minutes that way but it’s only for those that are going to midtown or North York
For some reason when the announcement says " Dundas Station", it almost feels like it's saying " Dumbass Station"
Lol
@@AlexGetsAroundTO 😂
We all miss the Orion OG
Thank you! I was looking to really understand WHERE exactly is the pickup for bus!!! It's easy to say that oh there's a bus and train connectivity but really important to exactly show/ explain the path r details like how much walk it is or do we need to cross the roads... So thank you! This kinda helped me locate where to take a bus from. Is there a lot of walking from departures to arrivals to take this bus??
I would say a 4 to 5 minute walk from bus terminal to departures level at terminal 3
@@AlexGetsAroundTO What about departures from Terminal 1 like international departures? I'm basically dropping someone off an then wanting to get back to the city. Thank you so much again!
@@Wildheartbeats Unfortunatley I haven’t been to Terminal 1 in several months so I don’t remember. But you’re very welcome,
@@AlexGetsAroundTO No worries! Thanks ain for he video and prompt response
It cost me $7.XX for me to get from Union Station to YYZ by UP express
Same here as it falls under the "youth" category
I feel like for tourists this route is great because it shows them how to use the bus and subway in toronto and once you know those you can pretty much get to anywhers in Toronto!!
Kipling to Sherborne is exactly 25 minutes.
True
It's not the same without the Airport Orion VII OG Diesels
Yup
@@AlexGetsAroundTO the novas ruined everything
I don't really mind the Novas on the 900 but any other Queensway route I want to ride I avoid them
@@AlexGetsAroundTO agreed, especially because of my hatred for them and the fact that the OG Diesels are in the process of retirement
@@AlexGetsAroundTO I remember when we had the TTC Detroit diesels for the Eglinton division and birchmount division
How much you wanna bet that the 8000s will last until 2025?
Nothing, they’ll all retire by summer or fall this year
@@AlexGetsAroundTO I see that now as there's 41 left
I wonder why the OG Diesels that are being used as shelter buses are not being used anymore.
Probably because it’s summer.
@@AlexGetsAroundTO at least they're still alive in some form

What if I don't have a Presto card? I will be transiting in Toronto, from South America to Europe and have plenty of time between flights on the same day. Should I pay the subway separately or do I get that 2 hours window even without paying with Presto?
Just pay with cash, make sure you get a transfer as well from the bus driver
Thanks, I don't get the idea of asking for a transfer ticket when the ticket has indeed a 2 hours window. Should I always ask for a transfer ticket? What if my first segment is subway and second a bus?
@@Alejandro-fc1fwsorry if this is 4 months late, but you can also get a PRESTO card at any subway station.
Why is Pearson Airport called YYZ and what does it stand for?
It’s simply the airport code which is designated as a “location identifier.” The characters prominently displayed on baggage tags attached at airport check-in desks are an example of a way these codes are used
@@AlexGetsAroundTO oh
Would it be a good idea if YRT had some routes that go to Pearson?
Nope, Pearson is too far from York region
@@AlexGetsAroundTO what do you mean
Made a typo in the reply, see above
Oh ok
your lucky I wish my hamilton buses had those paying presto cards in the back....
24:29 that’s the pride chime? That’s so annoying to listen to.
Yes
They removed the pride chime. I don’t hear it anymore
@@w49 well that's a relief
That was annoying wasn’t it the pride chime
Well yeah if you could tell by the weird noises from above
@@AlexGetsAroundTO I heard it a few times when I took the subway
I worked on all thoes buses when I was a coach tech apprentice at queensway garage. Horrible company to work for
Sorry to hear…
My first time I heard you cuss
