Yeah you guys are retarded if you think that was just a throwaway line and they didn’t have the script already written out or at least planned ahead of time
I seriously don’t understand why they never nominated Michael Mando for an Emmy. Giancarlo Esposito is always great but personally I think Mando did a better job especially in his last episode
Seriously. No hate on Giancarlo. He's awesome! But holy shit Michael Mando did so much with the character and put on a performance on par with the best in this universe.
Seeing how keeping Nacho on a short leash using fear nearly backfired on him, that’s probably why Gus in BB doesn’t immediately resort to fear to bring in Walt
Nacho is to BCS as Jesse is to BB in my opinion. They are both sympathetic characters that fans have feelings about. The only difference is Jesse is able to escape that life. Nacho is able to get out by taking his own life instead of the Salamancas doing it. But how the producers were able to justify a throwaway line was absolutely genius. Besides Mike, Nacho is my favorite character
Nacho knew if he fled, they would go after his dad. He literally sacrificed himself for his father. Beautiful and tragic. This is why Mike stood up for him.
the fact that he killed himself to protect his family from the salamancas was super sweet as well. they would have no connection the the upholstery business.
The cruelest irony about Nacho's end, the fact all of his enemies wind up dead themselves makes you want him to survive, but his sacrifice *is* what sets their eventual demises in motion.
I love that Gus’s line in the BB episode where Jesse is cooking alone where he says “I don’t believe fear to be an effective motivator” was a line that Mike said to Gus in the episode talking about having a gun to his dads head.

the Nachos story kind of goes with the "definition of insanity" line. trying to do something over and over again in hopes to change something but end result just being same or worse
nacho suspecting saul wanted the kettleman money that badly, then thinking mike was there to threaten nacho and his dad. when it came to robbing criminals and protecting his dad, his instincts were impaired.
While maybe not intentional, I do really like the parallel between Mike and his son, and Nacho and his father, where both are characters who convince a beloved family member to take dirty money-comedically, from people involved in the law and from people involved in the cartel, respectively-for the sake of their own safety, only for the briber(s) in question to become suspicious of the bribe-ee's reluctance, and make (or in Hector's case, imply to make) the decision to kill them off anyway, which then results in the initial person to decide to kill the briber in retaliation. Of course, the difference between the two is that Mike made the attempt to kill the dirty cops after his son was murdered, and was successful, while Nacho made the attempt before his father _could_ be murdered, and was not. Both Mike and Nacho see themselves as disappointments to their respective families, and especially given their shared preference to keep those "out of the game" alive and safe shown in the later seasons, I think that's all in all a nice touch.

Does anyone else know the twins well enough to match their names to their faces? Marco - mole under the eye, more expressive, the one shot by Hank and almost drowned by Hector Leonel - Less expressive (unlike Marco who occasionally smirks and is more visibly upset when seeing Lalos fake body), the one who had his legs amputated I always see people call them the "Salamanca cousins" or the "Salamanca twins" I actually really enjoy their characters because they are so loyal, badass, and sexy. I feel like maybe the reason Leonel is less expressive is because he takes the job more seriously as he felt what it was like to fear for the safety of someone you care about young when Hector almost drowned Marco. He learnt to be less emotional because what he told Hector when he was a kid: he wants Marco dead for killing his toy, he learnt that his words have consequences so he shouldn't express temperment as much. I cried when they died. After Leonel was hurt by Hanks car, Marco rushes to him out of worry. This is the only time we see one of them rush because they almost always just walk menacingly because they feel in control of the situation. This time however Marco ignores the mission for a bit to check on his brother. Leonel only tell him to "finish him" and focus on the mission. We see as Marco takes a deep breath to calm himself and heads for Hank, this time motivated even more by revenge for both Tuco and Leonel. He has the chance to kill Hank but instead decides to do it with their axe because it was "too easy" and I think he wanted to inflict more pain on Hank. It is mentioned in BCS that the Salamancas method of killing people is slow, meaning they enjoy torturing their victims. We see this in Tuco wanting to torture Jimmy for info, we see torture equipment in the shack they have in the desert that was gonna be used on Ignacio. And finally we see this as the twins decide to use axes when taking revenge to more pain is inflicted. This decision leads to both their deaths because Marco was furious and emotional. Ironically the thing they avoid doing the most, being emotional to the point of not speaking is what let to the twins' downfall. Marco wanted to avenge his family because all the Salamancas learn from a young age: "family is all" and "blood for blood" Gus mocks their "blood for blood" quote saying that what they're really enforcing is "blood for money". However, I belive it is both. They clearly all believe in "blood for blood" and we have seen them take revenge for one another. We also see them killing people to expand territory, keep their power, get rid of problems and all to keep Don Eladio happy and keep their money.
throwing in that ''sexy'' there just makes this whole bible chapter look so cringe when I have to imagine an actual grown woman typed this all out and was so in awe of these ''gigachads'' from a made up universe, and that she actually felt the need to express all ''love'' for these horrendous kunts of this in a massive youtube comment to the world. @@GLKHD maybe if you stopped being so insecure about the fact that you get 0 bitches then you wouln't be replying to a comment of someone expressing their enjoyment of fictional characters so bitterly. My entire family freaked out when the Manitoba licenses were revealed lol. This is by far the coolest reference to my home ever. And it’s the character I’m most attracted to. It's funny to think how, without Nacho, Lalo and Hector probably would've checkmated Gus and Mike long before Walter White ever walked onto the scene. Maybe it makes sense after all that Walt was easily able to outwit them.
Sopranos parallel comment Nacho attempted hit on Tuco with Mike is a brilliant character arc that mimics the Sopranos. Tuco looks more like Tony Soprano, Mike looks like Junior Soprano. In other words, it takes on that type of character arc in their development. It certainly adds to the story line and overall character arcs, like it did in the Sopranos.

Nacho is such a great character that lots of Mexican restaurants have started offering a dish called "nachos," which is chips and cheese.
I have 0 idea why I've been watching BB and BCS breakdowns but I regret nothing.
It's like poetry how Hector and Chuck got rekt almost at the same time
I never realized that nacho cutting the ac was so hector would take off his jacket.
I always tought it was so hector wouldnt realize that nacho is sweating from stress.
Anyways awsome video man
maybe it's a false memory, but i thought it was stated by nacho it was to disguise the sweating.
both maybe
I loved his work in far cry three
Have I ever told you the definition of insanity? ;)

Does anyone else know the twins well enough to match their names to their faces?
Marco - mole under the eye, more expressive, the one shot by Hank and almost drowned by Hector
Leonel - Less expressive (unlike Marco who occasionally smirks and is more visibly upset when seeing Lalos fake body), the one who had his legs amputated
I always see people call them the "Salamanca cousins" or the "Salamanca twins"
I actually really enjoy their characters because they are so loyal, badass, and sexy.
Marco wanted to avenge his family because all the Salamancas learn from a young age:
"family is all" and "blood for blood"
Gus mocks their "blood for blood" quote saying that what they're really enforcing is "blood for money".
You wahmen have more issues than men the more I think about it jfc
@@GLKHD maybe if you stopped being so insecure about the fact that you get 0 bitches then you wouln't be replying to a comment of someone expressing their enjoyment of fictional characters so bitterly. How is what I said different from how much people love characters such as Gus or Lalo who are just as bad as the twins? You are just salty that I "love" them cuz they are good looking even if admittedly they do absolutely nothing like bfr
the salamanca twins are real life brothers three years apart.
@@lapacesiaconvoi i know
i'm sorry. a lot of people probably know. i wonder if the skateboard twins would have ever crossed paths with the salamanca twins.
Favorite character, literally cried when he died
My entire family freaked out when the Manitoba licenses were revealed lol. This is by far the coolest reference to my home ever. And it’s the character I’m most attracted to. His end hurt so bad that I legit blacked out the memory.
My first watch through I had no idea he died bcz I was able to mentally block it out lol
Love the tease that you'll be doing this kind of deep dive for Gus 👏 Soon I hope
Awsome Video I realy like how you explain everything super good stuff man.
Excellent breakdown.
Thank you ❤
It's funny to think how, without Nacho, Lalo and Hector probably would've checkmated Gus and Mike long before Walter White ever walked onto the scene. Maybe it makes sense after all that Walt was easily able to outwit them.
You do a marvelous job on these videos.
I think Nacho is way more of an anti-hero than anyone in the BBBCS universe. And I think he might be my favorite character.
Incredíble video of an incredibile history of Ignacio Varga
Nice video. Effort’s appreciated
Mando made me a believer when he played my favorite villain of all time, Vaas Montenegro in FarCry 3
Milwaukee M18 sawzalls weren't available yet when this takes place.
Sopranos parallel comment
Nacho attempted hit on Tuco with Mike is a brilliant character arc that mimics the Sopranos. Tuco looks more like Tony Soprano, Mike looks like Junior Soprano. In other words, it takes on that type of character arc in their development. It certainly adds to the story line and overall character arcs, like it did in the Sopranos.
