I work in a Walgreens too but our pharmacists do not count what the technicians count. We are super busy but I didn't realize some pharmacists actually recount the pills.
When I worked at Walgreens they did sometimes. It depended on the pharmacist and how busy we were in the day. CII’s were always double counted by the pharmacist.
i had that experience in which i gave the wrong prescription. but i got lucky that i did not got written up becuz they just talked to me about it and i would get written up but they said since i am still new they will let me go with a warning instead. so ya and another experience i gave the wrong medication bag again becuz the name was almost 100% identical only 1 letter diff. and the pt came back like in few min letting me know. the manager talked to me but still he didnt gave me a write up. i had a really good manager

I’m glad you got the job. Don’t be too nervous make sure to be friendly with all of the staff take as many notes as you can and I didn’t know anything either about medications when I first started and you will learn everything on the job so don’t worry too much.

I had an interview yesterday for walgreens as a Pharmacy tech apprenticeship and it went great! at the end of the interview she said "so yeah youre hired!" and they told me to watch my messages for an offer letter. How long does that take to come in? Also, does that come to my email or to my walgreens candidate page?
Hi Alyssa you should definitely wear business casual clothing. I recommend a nicer shirt and a cardigan but I would also talk to your manager and see what they would want you to wear. Every pharmacy is different.
Hi! I am a pharmacy technician at Kroger and am working my way up to go to Walgreens. I just completed my application and I have one question. Where do I find the assessment to make sure my application is complete? Is it in my emails or do I have to go to the store and complete it there??
@@RosaPerez I think things are quite different now. Because every time I go to access the assessment through my email , the assessment is literally not there :(( I’m currently in the process of getting hired at Walgreens I pray I get wish me luck 🙏🏾💓

I’m excited for you congratulations! Yes it can be definitely depending on your goals I always heard that working in the hospital is better than working in retail. I’m not sure what your long-term goals are from working at the pharmacy but I do think it is very rewarding :)

I think that will be more dependent on the person who’s hiring you. I know at one point I had red hair and then one of my coworkers also had red hair and our pharmacy manager had no problem with it.
I bet your hair looks really pretty and I don’t think that should be a big factor but if anything if you get an interview I would just put your hair up in a bun or a ponytail if you’re scared about it.
Hi there! I actually graduated with my bachelors degree in May 2019 so I decided to go and pursue a career with my degree. I ended up leaving the pharmacy June 2020 as it was getting difficult to handle both jobs!

I do not remember as it has been a few years since I applied/worked at Walgreens but from what I remember, it is after you complete the application.
