They say third times a charm, am officially passed my PTCB 🎉🎉🎈 for all my repeat test takers don't give up and don't be discouraged
I failed 3 times, i lost money to scams and reviews that never helped but the major thing is that I've not lost hope

Well I've taken the exam for the second time now and still didn't succeed, i wonder how those who succeeded did it.
I'm a living testimony of MR JAMES, he has helped me achieve my dream of becoming a licienced nurse, i encourage those who find it difficult to pass the PTCB exams to work him and thank me later
I had interest in working with him in the first past but i was discourage by friends and family, i was being ignorant though
I took my exam today and got a preliminary pass! I used several of your videos to study and was so in awe at how "easy" it seemed. Don't get me wrong I guessed at some 🤣 BUT a pass is a pass. Breathe guys! Every test is different so study broad but also hone in on your struggles and you'd be surprised at how easily the questions come to you! I used about an hour of my time and I was a nervous wreck. Here's to everyone taking it soon! Listen to her⬆️⬆️

Study , top 200, fed and regulation, compounding and pharm calculation , Know the rems program and high alert drug read the question carefully , eliminate the answers
I just finished my PharmTech course and literally just scheduled my exam with PTCB for 2/2024. After watching this video I no longer feel nervous about my upcoming exams. Thanks so much for this video.

just study like your life depends on it. that's what i did and i passed on my first and only attempt. I didn't attend school, use past papers, or use any study guide .
If you study 6 months prior to this exam you WILL pass but this test is not hard , do as many PRACTICE TESTS AS POSSIBLE because you will see repetitive question. I took my exam July 14th and passed still waiting on my score :)

How long after you take your test do they notify you that you passed? I know that the actual score takes time to receive, but what about the pass/fail result?
After you click end test , it tells you immediately on the screen if you “preliminarily pass or fail “ so you will know how you did without receiving the official score

I am going to try to get a video up for monday or tomorrow night, only thing is i can only say so much because when you take your PTCB your agreeing that you won’t be sharing what’s on test like any questions u got or help others study for it. thankfully my test isn’t available anymore since i took last years but i just have to be very careful when making the video!

I will take my PTCE exam in about 3 weeks!
What's funny is I took my GED at a Pearson VUE center, and I wanted to be a teacher and in FL I needed to take the FTCEs (Florida Teacher Certification Examination) and that too is at a pearson vue center, and I couldn't even be a teacher's aide because that requires a degree. But I had another love: drugs. So basically I'll now take the PTCE at a pearson vue center.
I'll probably confuse everyone because I spent $730 on teaching exams (Professional Education, English 6-12 Exam, Latin K-12 Exam, Reading Endorsement Exam, Teacher's General Knowledge Exam, plus retakes= ~$730) just to leave it and be a pharmacy technician. Anyway people who read this 1) There's always more to enjoy in working than hate. You'll always find many things to do in life. 2) Respect your teachers. Nationwide in the US you need a bachelor's and spend hundreds extra on exams to be a teacher; so if you're going to school make the teacher feel like it was worth it because they sacrificed a lot in the hope of helping people.
(also, the survey you did at the end is the same they make for people who finished the FTCE... and when I took my GED tests because that was pearson, too)

Did you take the test without going through a course? Or did you strictly use your otj training?
i did not do a course! just on the job training at cvs and worked there for over 500 hours so was able to take the exam

I just took mine today and got a preliminary pass. But now I’m nervous because it’s saying I have to wait 2-3 weeks for results. Why do they tell you that you passed but then tell you it’s not official?
yes! that means pass for the most part. i heard the only time they take that back is if they found out u were cheating some how! congratulations

How long does it take until you can take the exam? How long did it take you to study?
For my company specifically they would pay it for u after 6 months of working there. I studied for a solid 2 weeks i would say
I took a week off to study and took the test.
Can you share what formulas you used for your exam?
like all the formulas you need to know? or the ones i memorized that kinda helped me get through most things

Mines didn’t say anything the lady said I would get my result in 2 business days on the NHA website
i’m not too sure i thought if you pass or fail it’ll say it right away unless they updated stuff during covid then that might not be the case anymore. i would give them a call

So everything you’ll need to know to pass the exam is actually on the PTCB website! they have a blueprint of each thing you’ll need to know!
Do you have to remember the conversions by heart?
yes you do! that’s why i wrote on a little card and looked at it until i had to lock my stuff up before testing lol 😂

@@donaldforbes4297 unfortunately you need 500hrs in pharmacist job or complete a recognized pharmacy training program prior to taking the PTCB
@@1kDomo yes that’s what I was told but when signing up for the exam they didn’t ask me if I completed those hours
I think that 500 hrs applies to you only if you are taking the exam through your pharmacy that you are working

shelby keeton honestly, there wasn’t too much math on mine but everyone’s is different. i was most nervous about math too cause i was doing terrible i was convinced i would fail cause of how bad i was at the math lol

i have a state one cause u have to have a state one then i have my national one
@@KeanaConyers Here in the State of Virginia you could get either or check with ptcb you should be able to take national as long as you pass once u pass u no longer have to take it again just get recertification.

mirocha I just paid for the test last night I’m gonna pick a date to test buttt I’m not studying 200 drugs I’m currently taking pharmacology and dosage calculations in nursing school I can’t and won’t be able to sit here and memorize 200 drugs so im gonna get the practice questions on the PTCB website. I’m currently a registered tech for Florida but I want to be nationally certified
I took mine over the Corona virus. There was an option to do it online, however I don't know exactly how that works. I ended up taking mine at a testing center that was still open

Okay so I’m doing this course to get credit in order to take it.. Rxtech.. seems a little wonky but whatever, I needed the accreditation. I’m a STEM student so I have prior knowledge and experience in my academic career with chemistry and human anatomy/physiology so I don’t see the point in a thousand dollar program but YA’LL the drug part! Ha! It’s a lot.. also, for this new exam.. PTCB put out a list of what the test is composed mainly of and it’s 40% of drugs. Apparently taking it online (COVID exception) we will have a live proctor. Webcam and Mic on. Not sure how that will work for the conversions part where we need to write and calculate! I’ll be taking it in 2 weeks so if I’m before any of you I’ll let you know.
