Shrimp tank water change FIRST PART: th-cam.com/video/BLSEVyB37IA/w-d-xo.html
im going to have to purchase and mod. loving this pump thanks for sharing.
I got mine last week. I haven't tried it out yet because I only do water changes every other weekend, but this is definately a game changer when it comes to water changes.
You right this pump is awesome tool for water change. I'm glad you found it useful as well
Can you adjust the pressure at the tube ? To restrict the water
My main tank is a 300L. I use a 60L tank in stand to prepare the water. I mix the shrimp salt a week before the 60L also has active soil and a heater to enable to tank to come closer to the main tanks water parameters.
I then use a pump to pump up the water slowly to the main tank with a pre built outlet from a old eternal filter system.
To do the water change I have the outlet from a old external filter connected to a single sponge filter this is then piped down below the tank with a valve to turn off/on to drain water very slowly without any shrimplets getting sucked through.
Has been working a treat, I feel the water being stored with active soil helps reduce the ph to prevent any swings in parameters.
Yes i saw some breeders do the same - ageing water in the container with the soil to lower ph and match the water in the tank. Definitely good idea. I might try to do this in the feature
Very nice, good job !!!
Thank you
How do I find the original video that shows what you did to connect the tubing and adjust the flow?

Amazing hack, love your diy skills, I can't even do 1/10th of it
It’s easy one just connect two cables. Im sure you can do it
Did you work out a hack on the 60 second timer?
This model doesn't have any timer
I am using this, since last 2 years
Awesome, I didn't know you had another channel...I am a bad subscriber :D
Hey Brian, That’s absolutely fine, not many my subs know about this channel yet. Good to see you here. I will upload all crappy videos on this channel like small updates etc.
@@shrimpmaniadaily Well, you got a new sub from me
Where to get this Pump? And how high can it be used?
Amazon
Hi, I bought one after watching your video. Mine does stop every few seconds, battery is fully charged, do you know if its possible to make it to no stop? Thank you
I think it's probably a faulty one. Mine working for at least 20 min on full charge and only stop once battery dead. You can try to connect usb cable to it like i did in this video
It turns off automatically every 60 seconds working, for safety reasons. I will try your method and see if it works. Thank you
Did you work out a hack to stop this?
@@ianswenser2986 No, unfortunatly
Anyone know a trick to stop the auto-shutoff function? Because mine powers off after a minute or so.
