My favourite soil is Glas Gartens Environmental soil, and jbl pro scape shrimp soil.
I tried environmental soil before, didn't work well for me as it has pH above 6. Haven't tried jbl though

Wow that's a lot of goodies! I love it, I really liked sl aqua products before but we can't get their soil here unfortuantly
Hey Ray, I was lucky to find that soil on eBay. That's the only seller in the UK who sells it. The price is quite steep
I tried SL Aqua "more" soil, Platinum Soil, Dennerle Scapler's soil, ShrimpKing Soil and Fluval Stratum soil.
Which one is the best from your experience?
@@shrimpmaniadaily I personally liked platinum super powder(brown)and sl aqua more. Shrimpking breaks down too fast.

Also my undergravel filter are from the Japanese brand nisso they are good, they don't use the same plate system as these ones.

If possible I would be happy if there could be a test on ADA Malaya :) A Vietnamese friend told me that a PH of 5.0-5.5 is possible with it. You could also replace the soil immediately without a break-in period because it is absolutely free of ammonium. The only drawback would be the color of the soil.

@@shrimpmaniadaily I think there is another soil called benebachi fluvic version. It's also the lower pH version
I've tried the ADA Malaya. But my Aquael Pat Mini is too strong, it filters too fast, so a lot of water runs through the soil and the pH value has stayed constant at PH4.8 for 5 days. I guess with a weak air filter the pH could be slightly higher.
Of course it is difficult to get this Malaya now because many boa breeders have bunkered their stocks with it during the pandemic.

The all pond solution ugf same as the boyu Ugf (same filter) all fit that box perfectly that you recommended from eBay. Advantage is they go a lot taller!

Always love to try new food and spoil my shrimps but wife keep an eye on me 😂, now trying lowkeys natural harvest very good supplement. Would love to try more European brand like qualdrop and Tima from Germany but not available here. But I don't complain we can have glasgarten and all japanese brands.

@@shrimpmaniadaily I like them all for different purpose, shirakura ebi dama is a very good daily food, ebi dama special is with mineral supplement. From benibachi, red bee ambitious, also great daily food. Kale food is also always a hit as well as golden food specialty for all pintos. From lowkeys, ultra supple, mineral supplements with lots of good things, ebi supple great daily food and all the natural harvest line, the earth, the ocean, the insect, great supplement, baby food, protein supplements, health, color and growth.
Thank you for the info Cedric, I tried ebi dama before but it was very hard food and it doesn't break in the tank and can be eaten for days I personally prefer the food which breaks easy so all the little ones can have they piece. It was long time ago when I bought it more than 5 years ago so I guess it can be changed by now. I like red bee ambitious my shrimps very like it I need to buy some more as I run out now. By the way drop me message on fb with the list of the products you want to buy and I can try to find them in the UK and bring them with me to Thailand in April
I FINALLY found the UGF plates in AliExpress. Yeah, it takes a couple of months to get here from China, but they were only 1,97€ a piece just for the plate. I also found the boxes for 11,90€ a piece from AliExpress.

I wish I can do but unfortunately I also have my family and job so I don't have too much time for it now
