      new jack was a legit psycho. if there is a hell. he is there. He was very entertaining at times, but his lack of empathy and cold bloodedness shouldnt be ignored. He tried to actually murder a handful of wrestlers in the ring and expressed no sympathy, empathy or regret in doing so. If JBL did the exact things New Jack did, it would be a national tragedy and he'd be banned from the business.

    New Jack told the GOD’S HONEST truth about him being the Gangstas. No one wants to see mustapha by himself just like no one paid to see Stevie Ray by himself. Booker WAS Harlem Heat. That’s just what it is. There’s tag teams where it’s just like that. There’s one guy that is the WHOLE team, no questions asked. There was no heavy machinery there was just Otis. Rhythm and blues was all about the honky Tonk man. Men on a mission? More like Mabel on marketing. That’s just what it is. Even the hart foundation was all Bret hart when you think about it. That’s why they put teams together many times, because one is the showman and the other was a big guy or a ring technician but was not able to do a promo. There’s not too many road warriors or brain busters or British bulldogs or blade runners where each team member is of equal value. There’s very few family or brother teams that have that equal footing even though they are blood family like the Hardy’s. Matt is no slouch but he can’t hold it down like Jeff could. As a tag team, the Steiner brothers had equal footing but as solo acts, Scott was the man. Sometimes it takes someone to step out and do their own thing to see how great they are and I’m glad Jack went solo and tried the hardcore division on his own. That’s how we got to see how great he actually was. If you think about it honestly, Jack is really like the black Roddy Piper, where you love to hear him and see what he’ll do or say next but actual technical ring skill is just basic. Piper got over for more than 4 decades doing the same basic schtick and he kept asses in the seats. So did Jack.

    • @pizzahighfive2612
      @pizzahighfive2612 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hardy Boyz is another one, with Jeff being the main draw. Same Dudley's with buh buh being the draw. And Edge n Christian, Edge was the draw. Now that I think about it, it's kinda rare where both members are equal in star power.

    • @ludotoyhunter8492
      @ludotoyhunter8492 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@pizzahighfive2612 I put the Hardy’s in there, however they were a bit different as each of them did have singles draw power. It was not like the gangstas where if new Jack wasn’t there then what’s the point. Edge and Christian are a good example where even though Christian is talented and a multiple times champion, he’s still not Edge. Some teams had equal star power: LOD, Demolition, powers of pain where you don’t want to see EITHER member solo but the problem with that is one: they can never ever separate themselves from each other so if something happens to one of them the other can’t make money unless they TOTALLY repackage them. Two: nowadays they don’t invest in tag team wrestling anymore so everybody who wrestles must be able to hold their own solo. The road warriors, the Steiners, the rockers, the Hardy’s, these guys were BRED to be teams from their inception in wrestling. You don’t see that anymore in wrestling. Any tag team now, either came directly from another organization (I.E. the indies) already established or they put these haphazard teams together when they can’t figure out what to do with the talent. That’s why I think that the next company to really invest in tag team wrestling and put some real money and interest behind it will have a huge draw on their hands. (You can see shades of it in AEW but they don’t keep the teams together long enough to really make any one team a threat. If they took one month and one PPV and did it wargames style, then put teams together annually composed of the top talent where they had to face the most dominant teams and the tag champs in the finals of a tournament, that would revive tag team wrestling.)

    this was bittersweet (Great stuff) Somebody should do a Documentary or deep dive of Public Enemy (There rise & fall is very sad if you seen how awesome they were in the early days of ECW it’s so odd in less then 8-10yrs they as a tag team were devalued and thrown out like garbage (As much as a love Pro Wrestling it’s a brutal lifestyle that’s seldom has a happy ending) 😢

      Me and someone else just recently talked about Public Enemy being fn awesome in ECW, and how it's pathetic how most people these days only know public enemy cause of that Acolytes incident in WWF. Just shows how impactful the media is. The wrestling medias always just show Public Enemy and the Acolytes over n over, so that's all people will know about them. It's kinda disrespectful, considering all the hard work they did to get hella over and shit they put their bodies through. That's why I respect Public Enemy a lot, they were fn popular and hardcore.

      I Personally knew Ted Petty and Johnny Rotten Very Good. Ted Petty was well into his 40's when He was in ECW. He was a Wrestling Veteran. Part of Me thinks that Acolyte Beat down on Sunday night heat was sort of a Work. Ted Petty was formerly a Boxer and would have been capable of hurting JBL. Maybe Ron Simmons to. JBL was a big mouth Punk. Steve Blackman kicked his ass and So did Joey Styles. Johnny in real life was a crazy Man. Almost as Crazy as New Jack. Johnny would have settled the score in the locker room afterwards.

Like legitimately popular, not corporate pushed or forced to be champ, or put on commercials etc. The crowd literally flips out for him! The very rare kind of pops that don't exist anymore, the kinds that Austin or Rock would get. New Jack was like a indie version of that. new jack was a legit psycho. if there is a hell. he is there.

      Don't be an idiot your whole life. Sid Viscious and Arn Anderson escalated to stabbing each other. If JBL did it-- no one would ever hear about it. Like Lawler and his son raping underage girls.

    Nash was afraid of New Jack becoming more popular than himself. That’s why he blocked it by insinuating future lawsuits would be coming up.
    But that’s how the wrestling business works…

    I think NJ would've been a great storyteller. Creative writing would've been great 4 him bc he definitely could come up with serious stories to tell...if given an opportunity to do so. He'll be missed....R.I.P. NJ

    I understand how much more of a compelling star New Jack was, but in fairness to Mustafa Saed, having your livelihood dependent on the actions of New Jack must have been incredibly stressful and be part of the reason he started behave irrationally.
    "OK, New Jack stabbed someone I hope I'll still be able to make a car payment."
    "Oh look, he's now openly disrespecting former NWA champion and living legend Terry Funk, that may be unpopular, I personally like Terry Funk"
    Alrighty, New Jack is now doing acid and smoking crack with some extremly unstable white wrestlers who wear sweat pants, I might need to cancel my cable subscription."
    "I am now a crazy person, Im going to start the "New Gangsters" 😅😅😅

    So bizarre how everyone romanticizes New Jack, admittedly attempting murders in the ring, but condemn people like Nia Jax for unintentionally botching moves in the ring. People are bizarre.
