@@bryonhogg485 Not that uncommon for people who grew up dirt poor like HTM did. He grew up on a cotton farm, doing manual labor in the hot sun (and receiving no tips). The idea of financially compensating a waitress for writing down an order, and walking to the to kitchen doesn't occur to those people the same way it does for others.

I love Honky Tonk Man as a character and his shoot interviews are gold but I totally believe Bundy on this one. Bundy was such a humble and down to earth guy from what I’ve gathered from his shoots. Honky, not so much, and he does have a tendency to bury wrestlers in shoots. What comes around goes around.

i personally don't see why anybody has to. outside of america, some people do if they can afford it & if the service was top notch, not because it's obligatory or any silly reason like that.
@@jpbart1390 Yes and no. Sometimes here in Europe, the tip is in the bill itself, sometimes not. And the waiter and waitresses get paid by their employers. Whereaes in the U. S. the people don't get paid by their employers. Their livelyhood depends on the tips given.

@@jpbart1390 Well, it depends. In Japan you don't give a tip at all, because to serve the customer is compulsory. And is considered as an insult. In China it is almost everywhere forbidden to give a tip. Use a search engine and you will find out. It is interesting.

Then the interviewer throws him a lifeline and changes the subject to “why didn’t WWR ever bring Bundy back after all these years”. Then his face when Bundy brought up the hospitalization. Most of the Bundy burials are from guys who Bundy wasn't loyal to or didn't like. He seemed like a pretty stand up guy who said what he believed. This rubs some people wrong.

I was an independent wrestler/manager in the 90s/00s and did (seperate) shows/matches with BOTH Chris & Wayne. And I can tell you FIRST HAND Bundy was absolutely the realist, sweetest, nicest person EVER. (May he RIP 😢) and then on the opposite side you have Honky tonk man who was probably one of the crustiest dudes we ever had the displeasure of working with....the only other person that may tie with him might be Edge cuz he insisted on his own dressing room & he refused to talk to anyone other than his opponent & bailed immediately after the show. Or maybe jake the snake who took the money & never even showed up...but I get he was going thru some shit back then.

I watched Edge in a locker room in Marion North Carolina in 2011 backstage unannounced to visit a friend. My buddy got me backstage because he was Indy wrestler on the card and friend of the promoter. The friend of Edge was a young Cash Wheeler at the time known as Steven Walters and his opponent was Phil Shatter later known as Jakson Ryker in WWE. Edge played toys with the young son of a local referee for well over an hour and appeared to be having a great time. I personally do not believe your story but if you are telling the truth you must have met him on his worst day.

I really think HTM is the king of shoot interviews and the best intercontinental champion of all time! Having said that, I would hate to think he treated waitresses poorly and stuff like that off camera. Seeing his reaction while he watched KK talk, I suspect some of the things he was saying was true. That’s disheartening. I figured since Wayne had a struggling start and a rough beginning he would appreciate people who had meager jobs or not an easy way in life. I hope I’m wrong.

I lived in the same town as bundy. Went to school with his 2 sons. He was a great guy and his sons were good kids. Not sure how they ended up though. Havent heard from them since early high school.
Same here, I was his neighbor in glassboro. He was from turnersville high school not too far from each other here in south jersey. The day after he passed tried to go over his house, (we were friends for years since 95) and the family were going out the door with tears in their eyes. He lived near Stockton university
