Isaac is almost a game where I enjoy the early game more. Unlocking new floors, It Lives, everything is harder, greedier, etc... makes it feel like you're making real progress and shaping the game. Later it kinda devolves into grinding out good RNG runs to beat X boss with X character.
At the part I’m on, golem is just that one cheap gift your weird uncle gets you as a joke, then says is a mystical rock of wisdom and power, and that if you throw it at someone bad, it makes you strong and makes them dumb.

bro, Isaac is such a different game now. I used to recognize every single item, boss, miniboss, etc in the game, and know everything about it. I took a break from Isaac content after Delirium got released, and now I'm totally lost.
Yeah, specific rock trinkets and rock themed trinkets. (So vanilla items that are rock like) unsure if petrified poop is mechanically a "rock" trinket, never took it to the subway and see if it can be grinded or crushed or anything.

There is actually quite a few references in the rock trinkets such as Minecraft blocks, DST salt lamp, Garnet Shield (i believe)
