Yesterday I officially completed Tainted Jacob's post it note! What a pleasant surprise to see Hutts completely demolish with a character I Struggled with for the past 3 weeks just to get 1 completion mark on my post it.
This update made this character actually bearable, which is pretty damn cool. I've gotten my infinity percent a month ago, and now I can actually play jabob for entertainment.
While that may have been true, the latest changes to Dark Esau also means he now never charges if you stand still no matter of where you stand in relation to him.
I still love your editor. Honestly he's just as good as hutts at this point. You know what we don't need hutts. Just the editor yup mhm yes good niceman.
Hutts seems much more chill and positive in the last little while. When he rolls with the punches and doesn't get bitter at games he is a hella funny dude lol.

tainted jacob suffers from the same issue vanilla lost suffered from. people forget how bad it was in rebirth. now, the lost is one of the most enjoyable characters in the game. hope ed changes TJ a bit more to make it fun.
0:34 Go to the Beast fight, but you don't have Dogma, so unless you have some other form of flight (being in Lost mode being the easiest way), you just take constant damage from the lava. I actually tried that once, by using debug to remove the Dogma item. You just fall into the lava and die (you die slowly, seeing as you still have invincibility frames). It's kinda funny.
Trisagion is one of the most broken items in the game in my opinion. Id even go as far as to say on par or sometimes BETTER than brimstone. One downside is that depending on how spicy your build is it can and will crash the game.
Personally I wish Esau was killable in Lost mode so you could go the rest of the floor without dealing with his BS, but overall T.Jacob seems like an actual enjoyable risk vs reward character now
@@MegaAwsome555 I'd prefer one still be at risk of him taking you out. Maybe even having his passive tough kill return when you're in The Lost state. Maybe. Probably buff his HP and modifier for floors (especially the latter). Still leaves the option to weaponize him (also to erase him if the opportunity to presents itself and you don't want to deal with his antics). While he's vulnerable to us, he should probably also go back to taking hits from other sources, too (though not things he should be flying over **like spikes**).
I think Ed said that he made esau unkillable because he wants the player to actually play with the character’s mechanic instead of just playing a worse lost.
@@vizic9561 That's achieved even with his Lost state able to still take out Esau (compared to being that and NOT being able to take him out). You won't just be a worse The Lost for long if you use a means to prevent him from coming back should that opportunity present itself. Not super likely in a given run to acquire and pull off the thing needed for that to be realized. Most will just play with the character entirely as intended (much of the time). Just gives an option to experience the older set-up, too.

Noticed on the Xbox we don’t have the complete update or some bits are glitched just unlocked T Jacob and Esau is still killable but when turned into lost you can still pick up health which I found weird

yeah, and he can't hurt you now if you're invulnerable, the character us actually fun now

And your tears and bombs ignore esaw now so he can't push bombs or block you, also he does block enemy bullets too now.

close but not quite, you have to be exactly north, east, west, or south of him to initiate a charge. If you stay diagonal to him he will not charge.

A good trick on T Jacob is to Anima Sola when T Isau is charging on top of an enemy (boss usually)
