I always have a smooth time while I listen to your speeches... With a lovely cup of tea.. I don't have to make efforts... Learning with you is paying off!!
I have been watching the videos of High Level Listening daily, which are being very good for me. Mark and Kat gives meaning of the words and expressions much useful. This is a precious opportunity to learn about routines. Thank you very much.
I just finished watching this episode, and I wanted to share that one of the key things that keeps me engaged with your podcasts is the interaction you offer through the comments. While there are plenty of free tutorials on TH-cam, it's rare to have the chance to ask questions directly to the creators, which is understandable-it requires time, passion, and, most importantly, commitment. This is where you both truly stand out. I can't thank you enough for the support and dedication you provide. I just wanted to let you know that my journey of learning English with you has been smooth sailing, and I'm grateful for it!
Nice episode today to talk about our morning whether it is good or bad. Thank you for giving me more vocabulary to help me talk about my morning and my mood. See you soon in another episode, thank you again
It's another brilliant episode 👍. So, thanks❤️. I usually have a good morning because I get up out of bed the time I schedule. I pray first and then I recite the Qur'an . After that, I have breakfast and I go to work excited and energetic.
I really happy to be one of your student, thanks both of you for this beautiful episodes hope I’ll complete all of it, keep doing this I’m sure millions will benefit of your classes now and in future thanks again ❤❤
This is the first video I've watched on your channel.😀 And I defianetly would say I love it. Both of you have lovely voices. Thanks a lot!!!P.S. Kat, your eyes are sooo beautiful 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Hi guys my morning was not pretty good as i had wished, because im a little sick. But anyway i was in the mood to watch this lovely video...awesome job.😊
Thank you for the video. Just for suggestions: can you make more videos from the beginning? Like present, future and past and all the hard part for someone who is new in grammar? Like from Zero to fluent? 😢 I'm start study the grammar and your video about rough morning get me 😊😊 Regards and thank from Chile ❤
Hello! We actually have some Intermediate level videos, which could be useful if you want something a little less intensive. You can find them here: th-cam.com/video/jdrDHa7Eu9g/w-d-xo.html
i did try to listen the both scripts without seeing the subtitle, found that i can understand Mark's speaking than Kat's one. Maybe I'd used to study English in text books from British syllables.
Hi , one of my bad habits was to stay up at bed far too late staring on my phone. I overdid it. i got used to lying down late and springing out of my bed just 20 minutes before getting to work. Now that I'm unemployed i take the time to get good habits and wind down in my bed before 11PM , reading a book and driffted off smoothly. I'm wide awake in the morning and more efficient, even if I'm unemployed I try to not get in unactive mode and to use my time smartly.
Thank you dear teachers!I’ve got a question, what if I work in 2 offices, should I still say “in the office”or should I describe one of the offices where I’m at the moment of saying it?😀
Good question! I think you have some different options. - I drive to [my first office]. - I drive to [my morning office]. (If you only work there in the morning and then go to a different place). - I drive to [my [LOCATION] office]. (E.g my London office, my Tollgate office, my Hampstead office) But if it's not important which office you are in, you can always just say: "I am the office now, I'll talk to you later." Hope that makes sense!
Hi, teachers :) good to see you again! I have a just simple question.. when you say ‘a’, sometimes you say it as ‘eɪ‘. What is the difference between ‘eɪ‘ and ‘ə’? And doesn’t it matter not to distinguish them?
Hi! Nice to have you here! eɪ as in make, the long "a" sound is sometimes used in pausing... "I think I might want to make a (eɪ)..... pizza!" This is also used when we are emphasizing the words, maybe for additional pronunciation or understanding "well, I said "I. want. to. make. a (eɪ). pizza." " but the ə or the "uh" sound is very commonly used when speaking quickly I want to make a pizza: I wanna mak-uh pizza! The ə is probably used more often to make your speech sound more fluent, and to easily connect words, but there is no real difference in meaning between the two sounds. Hope that helps!
Hi there! It's a good question. The classes you are watching are the Advanced Vocabulary *Series*. The series is basically the concept, the focus or the format of the show. That means that *all* videos in this series will contain advanced vocabulary and expressions. However, we stopped after 20 episodes to review and refresh. This set of 20 episodes makes up a *Season*. There are 20 episodes in Season 1 and there is a Season 1 study pack in our store which contains extra materials and lessons based on those 20 episodes only. Now we have started *Season 2* of our Advanced Vocabulary *Series*. So it's continuing the same format as before, and we are going to make another 20 episodes. We will stop at Episode 20 and that will be the end of Season 2. We will make another study pack, and then probably start Season 3! I hope that makes sense! - Mark
@@highlevellistening sorry, I suppose you misunderstand my question, I asked about the difference between the word series and series , and you said in American we say season but in Britain we say series,. I searched and found season is part of series!!
Ah I see, yes in the UK people are more likely to say 'series' and Americans more often say 'season' UK 🇬🇧: Series 1, Series 2, Series 3 etc. (This is especially true with UK made shows or ones that appear on British TV). If it's something on Netflix or online, some Brits may say Season 1, 2, 3. USA 🇺🇸 : Season 1, Season 2, Season 3 Hope that helps!
you know I was listening to these beautiful accents and I thought How American accent is created during last years ? because American were just British immigrants right ? what did happen and a new accent is created ? I have the same Question about Australia !
It really is very fascinating! I believe that in US history there was a big war between the British and the French in the 1700s and this is a big reason Americans speak English instead of French! It's also very interesting that the USA is a mix of so many cultures and influences but also that during colonization, we were originally a mix of many British accents along with many other influences on the language at the time. (1700s/1800s).
I always have a smooth time while I listen to your speeches... With a lovely cup of tea.. I don't have to make efforts... Learning with you is paying off!!

Sorry you told about the difference between series and season in the other episode which seemed different from I found in the reference...
Hi there! It's a good question.
The classes you are watching are the Advanced Vocabulary *Series*. The series is basically the concept, the focus or the format of the show. That means that *all* videos in this series will contain advanced vocabulary and expressions.
