So happy to start season 2✨ talking about a rough morning is a quite interesting topic as most of us scroll too much on our phones.... Getting to bed far too late.... And the result is you feeling like if a train had hit you... We're glued to our mobiles far too much😢 that's why I usually watch your videos while I exercise or walk.... Concentrating on your perfect prononciation. Not feeling groggy in order to make the most of it😊.
Great use of the lesson vocabulary! 👏 👍 I definitely agree about scrolling too much in bed and staring at my phone! But fortunately reading lovely comments like this one helps me feel less groggy!
I’ve already started watching Season 2 and completed Episode 1. Here are a few words, phrases, and expressions that are new to me: 1. Tossing and turning - Not sleeping very soundly. For example: "I was tossing and turning all night." 2. I overdid it - I did it too much. 3. A wink of sleep - A very short amount of sleep. 4. Groggy - Feeling really tired and sleepy. 5. Herding cats - The difficulty of managing or organizing a group of people or things that are chaotic or unpredictable. 6. 10 times more hectic - Much more difficult. 7. Ratty - Being in a really bad mood or having a short temper due to lack of proper rest. 8. Behind the schedule - Late. 9. Shake off the fog - Try to remove that feeling. 10. Catch my breath - Give me a second to think. Sending much love to my teachers, Kat and Mark!
Wow well done getting so many phrases and their meanings! The only tiny tiny thing I would adjust is that "hectic" is closer to "busy" than difficult. So if it's 10 times more hectic, then it's 10 times busier. Thanks for studying with us once again!
Thanks so much for your kind words! We're really glad you found it useful 😀 We try to pick topics about everyday things to make our videos as useful as possible!
Hi Kat and Mark! Your lessons are so entertaining and full of useful expressions to learn! I learn something new in each lesson you provide. Thank you so much🥰
Hi Kat teacher, Mark teacher, your lessons are really good! I learnt a lot! I hardly remember that one of your lessons mentioned about the phase “run against the clock”. May I ask the example when and how to use this phase! Thank you!
I'm happy to share the expression and its meaning! race against the clock and running against the clock means to hurry/rush/go quickly because there is a deadline or a time that something needs to be finished If we are trying to be on time, but we're running late, we might be racing/running against the clock to try to arrive/finish on time. Examples: We might be able to finish the project in 2 weeks, but we'll really be racing against the clock to finish on time. (We will need to work very very quickly to finish on time) It's a race against the clock to see who will finish on time! (This feels like a competition) We're running against the clock today, everyone please do your best and do it quickly by the end of the day! Hope that helps!
I’ve learned a lot with this podcast episode. Thank you so much for sharing with us different ways to expand our English vocabulary as people non-native. 😊
I am very happy and grateful for your videos because thanks to you I have learned many things and new vocabulary, I need to continue. Because I want to get B2, so I will get my dream job!!!
Good afternoon teacher.I’m from Cambodia 🇰🇭but now staying in Japan.I just see your video by today(first time).your video was really interesting and nice.😊Really help me learned too much.Thank for a good video. Nice to meet you teacher 👩🏫 🧑🏫

Many thanks for your awesome podcast! Listening to this podcast feels like killing two birds with one stone because English learners using it have a great chance to become familiar with both American and British English at the same time. I wish you two the best. Have a fabulous day!
I ve just watched the video. It's amazing and the subject you discussed is very interesting one❤ Well done 🎉🎉❤ you're doing great work 🎉❤ I watched plenty of English channels and I found that your channel is distinguished ❤❤ all your videos are spot on. I'm so proud of your work .
Wow, thank you so much for your very kind words! They are so kind and thoughtful, we appreciate that you are here watching our channel, see you soon Monday/Wednesday for the next episodes!
Thank you, guys, for this amazing lesson! I enjoyed it. It would be great to understand those tiny differences in English synonyms to use them correctly in different situations! Yesterday I listened to an interesting topic about the history of “have got”, why it so largely used in our days instead of simply “have”. It’s the deep historical storytelling by our linguist nicknamed Skjold Skefsson. I like such stories better than fictions.
You both are the best teacher I ever had on TH-cam channel I love this video and I enjoy watching and listening America and British English Kudos both of you ❤️❤️😍🙏👍🙌😁😍😍❤️❤️ Break a leg for more videos 😻😻😍❤️😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️😻😻😻😻😻

I have learned New vocab Groggy and drowsy seems the same but they are not the same Groogy is used to describe a person who lacks sleep while drowsy it is more related to eating medicine that affects u Tossing which means turning while sleep Herding cats ... A mission that seems impossible maybe 🤔
Hi mark, actually I am searching to get a bad morning season-2 E1 pdf, but i dont get at community page so can you send the link of this topic pdf, so that i can practise.
Hi guys. I haven't written in a while but I'm still enjoying your videos ❤. A quick question: as a member, would I be able to download the videos or al least the audio? I would like to be able to listen to you offline.
Hello! You can do this with Season 1 of our podcasts (which is available here: payhip.com/b/vrib0) - You can download the videos with no ads, or just download the audio of every episode from Season 1. We are planning to do the same with Season 2 once it's reached 20 episodes!
I really enjoy watching your video, and I have learned a lot from you all. There is one point that I could not understand in this sentence:"only to wake up feeling like I hadn't slept at all'. could you tell me how to use 'only to'. Big thanks
Great question! Only to... is similar to saying "sadly, in the end" or "this wasn't what I expected" we often use it to show that were saddened, surprised or disappointed by something we were happy about before. "I did all this hard work but in the end I am disappointed" "I did all of this hard work only to feel disappointed in the end." I spent a lot of money only to be disappointed by the bad quality of my purchase. I went to bed early (good thing!) but in the end I woke up tired (bad thing) I did everything right, I went to bed early, I put away my phone only to wake up feeling tired the next morning. hope that helps! it is indeed a more advanced phrase, hope it's more clear now.
Good day! I am happy to meet a new season:) Could you explain statement “ is way past” more? Is “past” the verb there? I mixed up with gramma of it. “I found myself scrolling on my phone way past my bedtime“ The meaning is clear, but I can’t remember this due to misunderstanding the gramma of this sentence. Thank you:)
hi good afternoon! Nice to see you again :) I found myself (found is the verb here) doing an activity way: more than, beyond past my bedtime: past is actually acting a preposition here, "past my bedtime" is a prepositional phrase to describe *when* I was doing the scrolling it would be similar to another prepositional phrase "after my bedtime" hope that helps! thanks so much for watching
Thanks

I went to bed early (good thing!) but in the end I woke up tired (bad thing)

Good morning! 🌞 thanks for joining us we’re very excited about season 2!
Good day! I am happy to meet a new season:)
Could you explain statement “ is way past” more? Is “past” the verb there? I mixed up with gramma of it.
“I found myself scrolling on my phone way past my bedtime“
The meaning is clear, but I can’t remember this due to misunderstanding the gramma of this sentence.
Thank you:)
hi good afternoon! Nice to see you again :)
I found myself (found is the verb here) doing an activity
way: more than, beyond
past my bedtime: past is actually acting a preposition here, "past my bedtime" is a prepositional phrase to describe *when* I was doing the scrolling
it would be similar to another prepositional phrase "after my bedtime"
hope that helps! thanks so much for watching
Thank! I see it now!
