The amount of time and effort put into something of this quality made me think it was produced by a huge TH-cam channel. Then i saw you only had 1k and this was your second video and i was absolutely blown away. Keep up the amazing work and i promise you this will all pay off, you have a gift. Please do not give up on it nor feel discouraged that this video has not gained the traction of your other one. In due time i believe this will explode along with the rest of your channel. Again absolutely amazing work dude. Youre going to be HUGE soon. Trust
Nicolas Cage is my all time favourite Actor in history (Right up there with Daniel Day Lewis, Werner Krauss and Vincent Price). Every film he was in like Con Air, Gone in 60 Seconds, Adaptation, Pig, Dream Scenario, Face/Off, Prisoners of the Ghostland, Colour out of Space, Leaving Las Vegas, Willy's Wonderland, Moonstruck, Ghost Rider 1 & 2, The Rock, 8MM, Bringing Out the Dead, Bad Lieutenant, Vampire's Kiss, Sympathy for The Devil, Raising Arizona, Wild at Heart, Renfield, Joe, National Treasure, Matchstick Men and Especially Mandy have always put a smile on my face. And even if the movie is good or bad, he always be the heart of the film. Whenever I'm in a bad mood or just feeling a bit depressed, Nick's would always cheer me up, he's very special in my life and he will always be... *A National Treasure*
Coming here from the Nic Cage subreddit, and what a joy this video was!! Thank you so much for exploring his ever changing craft and tremendous personality in such gentle, respectful and compelling way. He is one of a kind.
bro continue your work your videos are very great and your presentation of ideas is incredible i hope u continue and talk about de niro and day lewis and Jack Nicholson and all the legends and all the talented directors
Nic Cage has always been my favorite actor, starting with Valley Girl and really cementing his top-tier status with Raising Arizona (a criminally underrated performance and movie). I've always wanted to meet Mr. Cage, and came oh-so-close during an elevator ride in Toronto. I was staying at the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto, walked into the elevator, and there was Nic Cage! He was unmistakable, wearing boots, red leather pants and a red leather jacket. Unfortunately, he was talking on his iPhone the whole time, and I had the good manners not to interrupt him (even though I wanted to so badly!). Maybe one day I will get to actually meet my movie hero, although I think that quick "brush with fame" is as close as I'll ever get.
Amazing video man! The editing and storytelling is on a level of a high budget documentary! Reminds me a lot of Dodford's style which I also really like. Keep up the good work! 👏
Love it. Hes gone down a whole and now hes paid off his debt will probably start a decade of his best work. Going down as an all time great. Great personal story. Cant wait to work with him
THAT was awesome..I have always had a deep appreciation for him, even when he was down and out, I always saw him as the underdog, so to speak. Not that he wasn't famous or obscure, 2:03 but that he could always win, no matter what life's obstacles. I am so glad he pushed through and handed him. I can't wait to see Long legs. !
Excellent work, but I feel his renaissance started with Mandy, and Color from Outer Space. They're cult classics already and definitely worth a mention.
@@ryanramgobin It's a great video. You have a knack for editing. I liked the way you put the movies on different TVs, very elegant and efficient way of getting across the idea of his omnipresence. I'm not a huge fan of AI art. It's always a little off and it's overused on TH-cam. I'm not sure of the solution to this, but I'd prefer almost anything else as b roll in those parts. Either way, I appreciate your work and hope this channel takes off - you deserve it.

Hi Philip, thank you so much for your kind comment - means a lot - especially to be compared to Dodford’s style!

I agree. With so many great films to discuss - it was difficult to fit everything in 20 minutes.
@@ryanramgobin Totally get it. Incredible presentation, though. Like another commenter said, A+ work here. Very well edited.
I will say what brought Cage back to me was Mandy or Color Out Of Space
The renaissance is real! Thanks for watching.
Damn, never really thought of Cage's acting career/journey in this way. Definitely a paradox! Underrated? Probably
Thanks for watching!

Excellent video, keep going man
Thanks so much for watching - really appreciate it!
I'd love to see one of these about Philip Seymour Hoffman or Paul Giamatti.

Ok, before I get too far in I wonder if there will be a James Stewart comparison mention. Let's see...
There wasn’t!
he may be a meme, but he himself is no joke. he did what most would fear
Agreed! Thanks for watching!
Bit close to Dodford, no?
He's on a different planet of editing..! But have definitely taken inspiration from his use of Midjourney!
Great work
