i always wanted a brother is super catchy bruh we just live in an era where the classic songs have already been established, and no new songs no matter how catchy will likely become a classic
I totally agree with your song take for Moana! I remember watching the first one and loving almost all the songs, specially "How far I'll go", "Wherever you are", "We know the way" and "You're Welcome". I still listen to those till this day!
as someone to whom the original 1994 movie meant the worl, because it was the movie that me and my late father saw everytime, roleplaying mufasa and simba and a movie that just holds so many memories, the 2019 take was decent, not totally a gem but sufficeable but this movie is just not it-?? it just somehow is an insult to the legacy of the lion king; firstly, i feel changing mufasa's origin story wasn't great enough but its okay, it's again acceptable but this movie just simply lacked charm, live action for the lion king just doesn’t work well-?? (sadly, the upcoming live actions are also not working well) but disney needs to stop the cash grabs- this movie is just a loss for the fans- i swear, if they make a live action on finding nemo-
It's a shame. "The Lion King" is my favourite film of all time, and I absolutely despise the remake. However, I genuinely enjoyed "Mufasa." It sucks that the 2019 film was such complete ass that people won't give this a chance. It's obviously not a mastapeece like the og, but I'd personally give it a 7/10.
In my opinion if people don't want to watch a live action movie, then don't watch it and complain about the movie. Sequels and Prequals are fine because they branch off of a pre-existing story that many people live. This movie was really good and I enjoyed every second of it and the little details they put into this movie really stood out. This backlash for movies being a cash grab or lazy is unfair. They are obviously going to try and make money and it wouldn't be a cash grab if nobody went to see it, so the fact that these movies make a lot of money shows that people want to watch it. It also isn't lazy especially for this movie because it wasn't a remake it was a prequel that a lot of people have wanted. These movies take a lot of time and effort and nothing about making a movie is lazy. I think that original movie should be made, but dogging on a good movie just because of cgi and it being a prequel is unfair. People need to give these remakes a chance to be good, because too many people go into a movie thinking it's going to be bad, and let their bias cloud the entire movie. If people don't lie the movie because they don't lie the story, songs or whatever. But continuously comparing it to an insanely high level especially in the Lion kings case is outrageous. Quit assuming movies are going to be bad and preceeding to never give it a chance to be a good movie. If you haven't watched Mufasa I highly recommend you do, and watch it with an open mind because people worked too hard on this movie for people to not even watch it and give it the chance to be good, which this movie deserves.
I liked it❤ It's not a masterpiece like the classic but it's still pretty solid, I did think I would like the songs more than I did however I do think "I always wanted a brother" is one of the franchise beat songs! It does give Mufasas character more depth, but on a safer ground than I thought they woukd
I’m glad it was made. I did love it. Im happy they made it and can’t wait until they come back with another original story in the Lion King lore. Not every damn movie needs to be a blockbuster billion dollar movie. I did love it. Not everyone will but stop trashing every movie that isn’t up to par with your ideas.
You all expected so much from something not supposed to be great. You have such hugh expectations, and expect them tk be exactly like other films. The film was genuinely fun and the simple story made it better. The only problem I have was that scar's change from Taka to betraying Mufasa was too quick
Bro… people who say it’s not actually live action because it’s all just cgi are missing the point. The term “live action” doesn’t actually mean they’re gonna use real freaking lions for a cast 😂 It simply means that they’re trying to make it look like it could actually be in real life. I’ve seen to many people complain about live action cgi lately
I've never seen one of these "live action" Disney movies and I'm definitely not going to watch a spin off to one of them either 😂😂😂 Whag were they thinking when they greenlight this movie? Do they not realize that people hate these movies?
I was going to the theater in with the school right now this week and we were forced to watch this movie, that was the worst experience in movie moments so far. I did not like the movie 🤕🤕

the only way it could be a cash grab is if people are going to watch it…

I didn't mind the villain

But why was it so jolly in the context that he's gonna kill his sons killer
agreed that Bye Bye song was too upbeat for a song about murder
If this came out thirty years ago, they'd live a little and say die die

Lin cooked. I love brother betrayed also. I though bye bye was such an iconic villain song. And we go together is also stuck in my head
It sucks that Keith David was in this movie. He's a national treasure and they wasted him.
Wait, Keith David was in this movie?
How did they waste him?
What character? Don't mind spoiling as much as much as you like i'm not watching it anyway

Yeah no way I’m watching mufasa. Sonic 3 is really the only December movie that people would wanna watch and I need to see as soon as I can.

Btw Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote the songs in this movie over Moana 2
Imagine if Disney remade the movie in 2d

A shame that the songs have been so-so with this film. Lin-Manuel Miranda really left 'Moana 2' to do songs for THIS.
Live action remakes are pretty lame. However, HTTYD actually could be very interesting, as live action does fit it. Same with lilo and stitch
