It doesn't slap you in the face, but it is long-lasting and the sillage is noticeable. I like the fact that it's not too sweet. It just leans sweet in a subtile, vanilla way. It's one of my favorites from Montale.
Noticeable? 3 sprays fill a complete room
@@ozneonil7132 It's one of those frags that favors warm environments to enhance sillage and projection. When he sprayed his arm 5 or 6 times, I was thinking that was a mistake. It had been awhile since I've worn it, so after his reaction I went and put 3 sprays directly on my forearm and I agree with his assessment, it's not a BIG frag. Maybe formulations from 8-10 years ago were bigger, but not mine (from 3 yrs ago).
I sprayed it in my room and could smell it 2 days after it in the air😅 it has also that nice hairspray-vibe in it which I really like on all Montales😊
@@grishfish100% agree with this. I have a bottle I bought two weeks ago and it’s so weak. I hate that companies have to ruin perfumes by making them weaker.

Montale is notorious for nuclear sillage 😂😂 I've had 4 samples for months now cos you don't need to spray a lot

I'm here to say, that if you're thinking of getting this fragrance. Do so. I've gotten so many compliments with this one. The sillage, the projection, the lasting power. People can still smell it on me hours later.
Or, even better, SAMPLE IT FIRST JUST LIKE ANY OTHER FRAGRANCE YOU'RE CONSIDERING! There's no good reason to commit to a full bottle of a fragrance you could possibly dislike.

Just got my 50mL of Daddy yesterday. So Impressed Aaron!!!
I just recieved it today and havent tested it much but sprayed a small amount on my pinky and its left a scent trail so far for 5 hours. Cant wait to wear out on the town.
My go to online store just got this in. I’ve been interested for awhile. Had to come here to see what you thought first. Might pick it up. It’s not exactly expensive.
I have had the same reactions to Montale fragrances. I expected them to be beast mode based on all the reviews, but they turned out to be quite subdued. Black Aoud was the best example of this.
Agree with this review. I was expecting it to be a beast mode fragrance given it's Montale. I like it more as time passes than the initial spray. Thanks for reviewing this.
I wonder if it has been reformulated? My bottle is incredibly strong. 12h later, somebody two metres away commented on how wonderful I smelled.
@@jeffwatkins72it definitely has been reformulated man. I have a bottle I bought two weeks ago and it’s very weak. Still smells amazing but the performance isn’t there.

I have to leave all my Montales and Mancera’s to sit for a couple of months after opening to get the fantastic sillage and projection…except Red Tobacco- that was insane from the first spray!! 😂

Thanks Aaron I have been wanting your take on this one! Can you get a distributor for your line/brand/house in America? I really really want one or three! But the shipping to Texas is very high. Although I think it would still be worth the price without a doubt with the added shipping cost over here in the states. I would not hesitate if the shipping cost were more local! I’m more familiar with Mancera fragrances which Is a sister company . Great review Aaron this is my style of perfumery.
I love it very much, and on me it is strong, long lasting and projcting and i have naturaly tanned skin, I agree it is not as danse as Red Tobbaco it would be nice to see Arabians Tonka as perfume concentration yet on my cousin one spray when she tryed it filled a room
That's weird, I haven't tested it in a while but I remember as being monstrous I could be wrong though. I would really like for you to test his Honey Aoud fragrance, just to give us a slight idea as to how his oud note is made and also to maybe inspire you more to make a honey fragrance 😁😍

Neah, it is a monster. The reason why Aaron says this is because his fragrances are very strong as well, especially in the opening. I find it however that stronger is not always better.

@@onionjohnny6572I think this might beat my oud satin mood extrait in the sillage department. Both have the same longevity. Oud satin mood extrait is a lot smoother for me tho and not as screechy

They have this one called Aoud Musk Id really love to know your opinion about it.
I wonder if this has been reformulated. I've got a decant of this and the sillage is huge, 2 sprays of this fills the room and it transfers to all my clothes. Unfortunately it's got an oud note that on my skin is really screechy.

Would you consider putting your videos into playlists organized by different demographics? E.g. 16-24 year olds, 25+, 30s, 40s etc.? Also maybe date night fragrances, summer fragrances etc.

weird that you found it not strong enough... in my experience that fragrance is a crazy monster... one spray and you can't smell anything in the room except for that.

Yesterday a waiter wore this fragrance and the sillage was massive and strong very good fragrance but i think its a bit to heavy
Where can buy cologne ingredients in order to smell individual seats in order for me to isolate ingredients like you do.
Montales are way too strong for my taste... however, i kind of get why people like them... really bold... I think one of the better montals I've smelled were Oudamazing and soleil de capri. If you get a chance, please review Oudamazing =D. i own soleil de capri, but wanted to hear your review on the other.
What's meant by an "Amber wood"? Things like Ysamber K, Cedramber? Or things like Tolu Balsam, Benzoin?
ATH frags are still my jam! Must admit, the previous Legend was my jam more than the new one
Please review Dolce & Gabbana The One Luminous Night. Middle Eastern release from 2021. Basil, Geranium, Frankincense, Dates, and Amber. Mysterious and Beautiful.

@@rk-ve6jy Exactly like this idk. Baccarat Rouge 540 extrait projects like this, but it's lighter. Oud Satin Mood edp lasts and projects for hours. Xerjoff Erba Pura and Kirke project for like 5 h and they Last over 12 h. From Montale/Mancera Ristretto Intense Cafe, Instant Crush, Oudmazing, but the strongest fragrance that I've ever tested is Black Prestigium- Mancera.

@@unknownbutknown6814 doubt that it's reformultated. All Manceras and Montale are beast mode. They destroy 99% of fragrances. I had IT Last year, sold IT after I got bored of IT.

Nah this is easily a 10/10 if this is anywhere near someone’s genre. Heavily underrated and it’s past beast mode!!!!! I can only do one or two sprays max and people smell it over a arms reach 🤨🧐.
I must say with no disrespect people like us who smell “countless” fragrances daily have different tolerance level vs the “normal” populous, when I was a noob 15 years ago I couldn’t tolerate heavier frags now that’s all I wear. 😅
Tried this one yesterday. Definitely not my type as it was almost nauseatingly strong, but the dry down was beautiful. Nuclear projection and sillage.

It comes as a huge shock that this would lose points on lacking intensity, is it reformulated? I count it among the strongest in my collection, competing with scents like Red Tobacco. Loved the review!

I had Arabians tonka up that high and I CANT STAND MONTALE, I think it’s because the cans they use but with this one in particular it didn’t even matter.

Ethyl maltol wasn't whipping through the base enough for it to be a 10/10 banger

I get what you're saying about how you could barely smell it on your skin.
The big problem for me was that it did not last very long at all, definitely not worth the price in my opinion. And the scent wasn't really very enjoyable for the short time it lasted. Kind of boring.
Does anyone know what perfume or cologne smells more like the dry down of Arabians tonka. After the dry down of Arabians tonka you just get this amazing dark rose scent. The opening may be a little to sweet the dry down is the best!

Try Swiss Arabian Nawaf. One of the best 'Oud' / saffron, incense /churchy frags out there & at a very affordable price too. A true hidden gem.
If this gets sprayed like 4 times it will get you noticed from about 20 metres away. Montale is always great bang for buck.

This must have been reformulated, my bottle is nuclear. 16h+ longevity, metres of projection. Somebody hugged me for a couple of seconds and they could smell it on them for an hour or two, and that was many hours after I'd sprayed it.

Perfectly unisex. Very sexy imo. Hard to wear in warmer weather thanks to the sweetness. My fave Montale so far.
Update, it keeps raking in compliments (I often wear it for dates), definitely a compliment monster. Also lasts for days on clothing.

This is one of my beast mode fragrances... 2 sprays and it fills up a room, with great projection and sillage. The perfect perfume in my opinion.

Montale has a red bottle called Tobacco Oud, I think that's what he's referencing
I don’t agree with this review, this lasts all day, and if my wife wears it , I can smell the sillage drifting downstairs as she walks around the house, it is strong but not obnoxious, and my wife wears this and is complimented constantly

This one I had to wash off: too sweet, boring, annoying after about an hour.
